Authorities say there were approximately five murders, all of them on FridaysPolice in Argentina have arrested an alleged serial killer who they claim lured homeless people into his house, killed them and dismembered their bodies. Authorities say there were approximately five murders that always took place on Fridays, CBS News reported. The suspect, 37, has been dubbed the 'machete man' by local media outlets – he was arrested after police raided his home and found 'bones, blood, pieces of skin and even a nose,' CBS reported, citing Attorney General Sergio Lello Sanchez. During the police raid, authorities encountered the man's 16-year-old nephew, per Lello Sanchez. The nephew allegedly told authorities that his uncle would go out on Fridays and return with different people each night, most of them either homeless or elderly. The nephew told authorities that his uncle would, 'beat them, kill them, cut their bodies, burn them, and take them out in garbage bags.' a case prosecutor told A24 news channel. The outlet identified the man as Matías Jurado, a local resident whom neighbors said allegedly threatened people with machetes, set fires, carried suspicious bags and rolled around wheelbarrows at night. Jurado insists he is innocent, per CBS.A24 reported that even though local residents referred to Jurado as 'the machete man,' they never suspected him to be a murderer. Police started their investigation after five people went missing from the same bus stop in the city of San Salvador de Jujuy, the outlet reported, citing authorities. Jurado was charged with aggravated homicide and put in pre-trial detention for four months pending the investigation, CBS reported, citing Lello Sanchez. Read the original article on People

Man stabbed during robbery in Pompano Beach, suspect in custody
A man is recovering after being stabbed in the neck during an early morning robbery at an apartment complex near Northwest 11th Street and 3rd Avenue, according to the Broward Sheriff's Office. Deputies arrested 33-year-old Ron-Christopher Gonzales on Wednesday, hours after the 5:45 a.m. attack. Investigators said Gonzales broke into the victim's apartment, robbed him, and then stabbed him before fleeing the scene. A BSO K-9 unit helped track and apprehend the suspect. The victim was conscious and alert when he was taken from the scene, but BSO has not released an update on his condition. His mother rushed to the apartment complex after learning of the attack, though she said detectives shared little information with her. Crime scene investigators collected several items from the apartment as part of the ongoing investigation. Neighbors said the victim is well known in the community and described him as friendly and kind. "He's a good guy, actually a good guy. I'm not going to lie about that," said Andrew Onfroy, a neighbor who said he speaks with the victim nearly every day. "Oh yes, oh yeah. Every day coming home or I see coming out or I be going in, he coming in right behind me. 'Hey, what's going on? How was your day?'" Onfroy recalled. Authorities have not yet said what Gonzales was after or why he targeted the victim's apartment.
