Dubai, UAE: Hayaat Developments, an innovative and trusted bespoke luxury developer and the real estate arm of the Hayaat Group - a UAE-based principal investment firm, has officially launched Isolana Residences, its new flagship residential tower project on Dubai Islands, built at a value of AED 135 million, adding yet another major milestone to the group's international multi-billion AED development portfolio.
Isolana Residences is a bespoke project occupying one of the most coveted, prominent corner plots within the entire Dubai Islands community, with a total gross floor area of approximately 100,000 square feet. The 71 units comprise a mix of 39 one-, 22 two- and 6 three-bedroom homes, as well as 4 lavish penthouses on the top floor.
Carrying the signature design of Ashai Design's world-renowned L.A.-based architect Mr. Tony Ashai, who has designed several key projects across the UAE, including the JW Mariott Marquis Hotel on Marjan Island and Reem Hills in Abu Dhabi, Isolana Residences is set to be a one-of-a-kind, well-thought-through architectural marvel that will add unique value to Dubai's luxury real estate landscape. Commenting on the project's distinctive 'dancing balconies' design, Mr. Ashai said: 'Isolana was designed to be in keeping with the resort-like ambiance of the island, with a novel overlapping feel of its balconies. The ingenuity of its design is one that won't be replicated on the island again and will firmly stand as an aesthetic pinnacle of originality.'
Isolana Residences also distinguishes itself with its indoor courtyard concept, as well as its wide plethora of resort-inspired amenities, including its 55-meter-long infinity swimming pool, zen garden, resident club lounge, padel court, and indoor and outdoor children's play areas. Investors can also opt for their very own, private plunge pools.
Co-founder and CEO of Hayaat Developments, Mr. Afzaal Hussain, a real estate veteran with over 15 years of experience in senior leadership roles in the industry, is proud to lead the company in its journey of crafting and delivering premium living experiences in the UAE. 'At Hayaat, we're not just building properties. We're crafting quality experiences that merge innovation, sustainability and design excellence. Isolana is our latest stride in this mission of ours – we are now eagerly turning it from its concept into a reality for all those who will call it their home, in an ambitious, yet holistically well-planned timeline', he says.
Mr. Shahid Nawaz, who leads sales and marketing at Hayaat Developments, has seen an overwhelmingly positive response from the market since the project's initial soft launch at the International Property Show this year, saying: 'The substantial volume of both local and international inquiries and serious interest we've received so far is a testament to the strong demand for a product that doesn't compromise on quality. We strive to be a trailblazer in this regard and look forward to gradually launching this exceptional project's units for sales.'
'Isolana will deliver a truly resident-centric, modern living offering that fosters a sense of belonging and community, in line with the UAE's celebration of 2025 as the 'Year of Community', as announced by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE', added Mr. Shahzaib Elahi, Co-founder and Executive Director of Hayaat Developments.
Hayaat Developments is now also gearing up for its next launch – its trophy project located in the neighbourhood of the exclusive Al Barari community on Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road (E 311), Villa Oasi. With full details on the project yet to be released in the coming months, Mr. Mohammed Ikhlaq, Chairman of Hayaat Group and the visionary behind Villa Oasi emphasized that it will 'creatively raise the bar in combining excellence with quality and will truly be an unparallelled luxury offering in Dubai'.

US leads the charge in Saudi Arabia's greenfield investments

Greenlogue/AP The United States has solidified its position as the leading source of greenfield foreign direct investment in Saudi Arabia during the first half of 2025, with American companies backing 61 projects worth a total of $2.7 billion. This surge in American investments marks a significant shift in global investment trends, as US-based firms continue to bolster the Kingdom's economic diversification efforts under its Vision 2030 initiative. The surge in greenfield investments from the US is part of a broader pattern of growing foreign interest in Saudi Arabia's non-oil sectors, particularly technology, manufacturing, and renewable energy. The nation's ambitious plans to diversify its economy away from oil dependency have been instrumental in attracting foreign capital, with the US leading the charge. ADVERTISEMENT Saudi Arabia's push for foreign investments aligns with its goals to diversify its economy and create more job opportunities for its young population. This strategy, outlined in the Vision 2030 blueprint, has been bolstered by several policy shifts, including regulatory reforms and incentives aimed at attracting foreign capital. American investors have been particularly active in the Kingdom's burgeoning tech and infrastructure sectors. Companies like Microsoft, Amazon, and Tesla have already established or expanded their operations, with further expansion expected in the coming months. The US is also a key player in Saudi Arabia's growing renewable energy sector, with several partnerships focused on solar and wind energy development. The Kingdom's substantial investments in infrastructure and technological advancements are creating a fertile environment for foreign companies to set up operations in Saudi Arabia. Greenfield projects, where companies build new facilities or expand existing operations, have become an important avenue for foreign investment. These projects help to transfer technology, create jobs, and stimulate local economies, all of which are in line with Saudi Arabia's long-term economic goals. The influx of greenfield investments comes as part of a broader global shift towards increased international business ties with Saudi Arabia. While US companies have historically played a significant role in the Kingdom's economy, their increased participation in new sectors demonstrates the country's growing importance as a regional and global business hub. As part of the broader geopolitical landscape, the US's economic engagement in Saudi Arabia also serves to strengthen bilateral ties, with trade and investment acting as key pillars of the relationship. Despite these impressive figures, there remains a level of caution among some investors, especially concerning regional political risks and potential regulatory challenges. However, Saudi Arabia has been proactive in addressing such concerns through ongoing reforms aimed at improving its business climate. The introduction of measures such as the Saudi Green Initiative and the creation of new free trade zones have been central to the country's strategy of attracting long-term foreign investments. Greenfield FDI has grown consistently in recent years, driven by Saudi Arabia's incentives aimed at foreign investors, including tax breaks, capital allowances, and access to the lucrative GCC market. The country's strategic location, coupled with its vast resources and rapidly growing population, makes it an attractive destination for companies looking to expand in the Middle East and beyond. Industry experts note that this rise in greenfield investments reflects both the increasing attractiveness of Saudi Arabia as an investment destination and the ongoing confidence American firms have in the Kingdom's economic trajectory. Several high-profile announcements of joint ventures and new projects, particularly in technology and infrastructure, signal a long-term commitment to the Saudi market. The United States' dominance in this segment is not merely a reflection of the scale of the investments but also a strategic move to capitalise on Saudi Arabia's expanding economy. As the Kingdom continues to shift away from an oil-centric economic model, American companies are positioning themselves to play a pivotal role in the country's diversification efforts.

Arabian Automobiles' Hussam Baghdadi on driving customer-centric innovation

Images: Supplied Hussam Baghdadi, senior director at Arabian Automobiles Company ( Gulf Business about how the company is navigating a competitive UAE automotive market. From digital-first buying journeys and flexible ownership models to data-driven insights and emerging mobility trends, Baghdadi shares how Arabian Automobiles is redefining customer experience and staying ahead of evolving consumer expectations. Here are excerpts from the conversation. How is AAC adapting to shifting consumer expectations in the UAE, especially with the rise of digital-first car buying journeys and demand for greater transparency in the purchase process? Customer-centricity remains a core pillar of our strategy. Rather than responding to changes, we aim to anticipate and shape them, especially as the UAE consumer becomes increasingly digital-first. This approach has driven a comprehensive transformation across our retail and service ecosystem. We've focused heavily on e-commerce enablement and digital campaign integration, ensuring customers can engage, explore, and act seamlessly across digital platforms. Our AWR Connect app allows customers to manage their entire ownership experience, from booking services and tracking delivery to accessing aftersales support, all via a single interface. Our Customer Experience Division has undergone a full digital transformation to enhance operational efficiency, reduce wait times, and increase service productivity. Looking ahead, advanced technologies such as AI-powered concierge services and dynamic inventory systems, driven by predictive analytics, are helping us personalise the customer journey, optimise stock allocation, and provide seamless online-to-offline experiences. Our goal is clear: a frictionless, transparent, and connected experience that consistently exceeds expectations. With Dubai investing heavily in transforming its automotive ecosystem, how is the company aligning its strategies to stay ahead in areas like aftersales innovation, mobility services, and customer experience? Dubai's vision for a future-ready automotive ecosystem is one we actively support. We focus on placing the customer at the heart of every decision and delivering value throughout the ownership journey. Our aftersales initiatives include real-time service booking, seasonal maintenance programmes, proactive service alerts, and pick-up and drop-off services during peak periods. State-of-the-art facilities are continuously upgraded with interactive screens and advanced systems, creating faster and more intuitive service experiences. We are also expanding our parts business digitally and developing a new platform to enhance speed, transparency, and flexibility. Our mobility services are evolving with flexible lease offerings, bundled packages, and digital tools to empower customers. By connecting sales, aftersales, and mobility services, we aim to deliver a seamless and future-forward experience reflecting Dubai's momentum as a hub for smart, sustainable mobility. Given the ongoing recovery from global supply chain disruptions, how is AAC managing inventory planning, vehicle availability, and delivery timelines? The UAE benefits from world-class infrastructure and advanced customs systems, keeping supply chains efficient. Our proactive planning and forecasting, developed with global OEM partners, help manage inventory effectively and maintain availability across our network. Early container bookings, diversified shipping routes, and strong supplier relationships allow us to respond to global challenges with minimal disruption. The upcoming Parts Distribution Center (PDC) will further streamline planning, optimse inventory, and maximise order fulfillment, reinforcing the high standards of service Arabian Automobiles is known for. Dubai's economic stability across logistics, tourism, real estate, and finance supports sustainable automotive growth. With car ownership in the UAE evolving beyond just new vehicle purchases, how is AAC addressing the growing demand for used cars, flexible financing, and lease-to-own options? Customer-centricity drives every offering. Our 'Rent to Own' and 'Lease to Own' campaigns provide convenient, cost-effective pathways to vehicle ownership, particularly across Nissan and INFINITI models. Flexible financing is a core pillar, supported by leading banks offering competitive EMI plans, deferred payments, and streamlined approvals. Our NXT brand ensures used cars meet strict inspection and certification standards, emphasising quality, safety, and reliability. Together, these initiatives demonstrate a commitment to modern, adaptive mobility solutions across all stages of the ownership journey. How do you see customer preferences shifting between buying new vs. used vehicles, and what insights has AAC gathered about what today's buyer prioritises most — price, warranty, tech, or convenience? Customers today are empowered, research-driven, and increasingly open to alternative ownership pathways. While new vehicles appeal to those seeking innovations and design, the used car segment is growing due to value, flexibility, and reassurance. Key factors shaping this shift include price sensitivity, value consciousness, and confidence in certified pre-owned programmes. Convenience has emerged as a decisive driver, with transparent, secure digital transactions making the buying and selling process simpler. Investments in rigorous inspection, flexible financing, trade-ins, and predictive analytics ensure inventory aligns with demand. Price, flexibility, warranty, aftersales support, technology, and convenience are now all key differentiators across new and used segments. Given the UAE's diverse and competitive automotive market, what consumer trends have surprised you the most in recent years, and how is AAC using data to adapt and stay ahead of expectations? A defining trend is growing consumer appetite for innovation and design-led experiences. UAE customers increasingly seek vehicles with advanced technology, intelligent safety, electrified powertrains, and contemporary aesthetics. Younger, tech-savvy drivers view vehicles as extensions of their lifestyle. Demand for smart mobility, intuitive infotainment, and sustainable engineering is rising. Data and analytics play a central role in demand forecasting, inventory optimisation, and personalised offers. Every touchpoint — from showroom layout to digital engagement — is informed by real-time data to ensure relevance. Sustainable mobility adoption continues to grow, supported by national policies and infrastructure investments. Staying competitive in 2025 means embedding these priorities across the value chain in alignment with evolving customer expectations. Read:
