Rising stars Salma Abu Deif and Jessica Hossam El-Din have officially joined the cast of Ezma, a highly anticipated film led by actor Ahmed Dawood and marking the directorial debut of celebrated writer Mohamed Sadek. Known for his bestselling novels and successful screenplays, Sadek steps behind the camera for the first time with this cinematic adaptation.
Based on his hit 2020 novel Ezma—a long-time chart-topper in Egypt and across the Arab world—the story follows 36-year-old Eissa, whose life takes a dramatic turn after receiving a mysterious birthday gift from an unexpected sender. The twist forces him to reexamine every detail of his journey.
Mohamed Sadek continues his unique streak of literary and cinematic success, with Ezma becoming the fourth of his novels to be adapted for the screen. This new project brings together Ahmed Dawood and Ahmed Dash in a gripping tale that blurs the line between fate and choice, with Sadek writing and directing the film himself.

Nour Arida is the First Arab Woman to Book a Audemars Piguet Campaign

Model & Lifestyle Influencer Nour Arida Joins Serena Williams in Audemars Piguet Campaign. May 31, 2025 When Audemars Piguet picked the faces for its 150th anniversary campaign, it chose icons. Nour Arida was the only Arab woman among them. In the world of luxury watchmaking, Arab women aren't often on the moodboard. But this year, that changed. For its 150th anniversary, Audemars Piguet didn't just call in the usual faces - it summoned a lineup of global icons. Serena Williams. Winnie Harlow. Tamara Kalinic. And, for the first time ever, an Arab woman: Nour Arida. Draped in AP's legacy, the Lebanese model-slash-creative-slash-cultural force owned the frame. 'I always try to push boundaries,' Arida says, in what might be the understatement of the year. 'It's like being part of a real family, being part of the AP family.'

Alhilaliya Troupe Performs at Bayt al-Suhaymi

Yara Sameh The Bayt al-Suhaymi Creativity Center, located in al-Darb al-Asfar Lane in al-Gamaliyya in al-Muizz Street, will host a new performance by the Al-Hilaliya Troupe on Thursday at 8:00 PM. The performance is part of the efforts of the Cultural Development Fund, headed by architect Hamdi El-Sattouhi, to preserve oral heritage and revive folk arts. The event is part of the performances hosted by the center to represent the Hilaliya epic as one of the most prominent tributaries of Arab cultural memory. The act combines storytelling, singing, and movement in a theatrical scene inspired by folk tales and presented in a language capable of communicating with the audience. The Al-Hilaliya Troupe, founded by Shaima Refaat, is one of the few troupes dedicated to documenting and presenting the Bani Hilal epic in popular dramatic styles, combining singing and theatrical narration, with the participation of a number of artists who were raised in the traditions of the "Waw" art. The show presents the story of Rizq Ibn Nayel, one of the Bani Hilal knights, and his battle to restore the tribe's honor. It showcases concepts of courage, sacrifice, and the status of women in folk literature. This initiative reflects the Cultural Development Fund's commitment to providing exhibition spaces for folk arts, not only as a heritage, but also as a renewed bridge connecting the past to the present, keeping memories alive in the heart of the historic city. read more New Tourism Route To Launch in Old Cairo Ahmed El Sakka-Led Play 'Sayidati Al Jamila' to Be Staged in KSA on Dec. 6 Mandy Moore Joins Season 2 of "Dr. Death" Anthology Series Don't Miss These Movies at 44th Cairo Int'l Film Festival Today Amr Diab to Headline KSA's MDLBEAST Soundstorm 2022 Festival Arts & Culture Mai Omar Stuns in Latest Instagram Photos Arts & Culture "The Flash" to End with Season 9 Arts & Culture Ministry of Culture Organizes four day Children's Film Festival Arts & Culture Canadian PM wishes Muslims Eid-al-Adha News Ayat Khaddoura's Final Video Captures Bombardment of Beit Lahia News Australia Fines Telegram $600,000 Over Terrorism, Child Abuse Content Arts & Culture Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban's $4.7M LA Home Burglarized Sports Former Al Zamalek Player Ibrahim Shika Passes away after Long Battle with Cancer Sports Neymar Announced for Brazil's Preliminary List for 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers News Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly Inaugurates Two Indian Companies Arts & Culture New Archaeological Discovery from 26th Dynasty Uncovered in Karnak Temple Business Fear & Greed Index Plummets to Lowest Level Ever Recorded amid Global Trade War Arts & Culture Zahi Hawass: Claims of Columns Beneath the Pyramid of Khafre Are Lies News Flights suspended at Port Sudan Airport after Drone Attacks
