WWE star AJ Styles to make TNA return at Slammiversary for the first time in 11 years

AJ Styles is heading home.
On Friday, TNA Wrestling president Carlos Silva confirmed with Uncrowned that the two-time WWE Champion will return to TNA for its annual Slammiversary event this Sunday night at UBS Arena in Elmont, New York.
Styles hasn't been involved with TNA in any capacity since his departure in 2014. Silva declined to reveal what TNA and Styles have in store for the legend's return, but he confirmed that the stage at UBS Arena will be pushed back to accommodate more fans for what is expected to be the biggest TNA event ever.
Styles, 48, was a fixture of the company for more than a decade, wrestling under the TNA banner from 2002-14. He's widely considered to be one of the all-time greats of TNA, thanks to his numerous accomplishments, including five world title wins. Styles is a "Grand Slam" champion in TNA, meaning he's held every title in the promotion at least once. Many of Styles' matches with the likes of Christopher Daniels, Samoa Joe, Kurt Angle, Abyss and Jeff Jarrett are some of the most revered in TNA history. Styles' 2005 triple-threat match with Daniels and Joe was the first of only two Wrestling Observer five-star matches ever for TNA.
In recent weeks on "WWE Raw," Styles has been seen pursuing an Intercontinental title match with the champion, Dominick Mysterio. Styles has been with WWE since 2016, when he made a surprise debut in that year's Royal Rumble match.
While Styles' role at Slammiversary remains a mystery, the TNA World Championship will be on the line on the show, as NXT star and current TNA champion Trick Williams will defend against the man he dethroned, Joe Hendry, along with Mike Santana, in a triple-threat match. NXT Women's Champion Jacy Jayne is also back in action after her big title defense against Jordynne Grace at WWE Evolution. She'll go toe-to-toe with TNA Knockouts World Champion Masha Slamovich in a winner-takes-all match with both of their titles on the line.

Flight Passengers Become Surprise Wedding Guests as Couple Exchange Vows at 35,000 Feet

The bride and groom were already going to be on a flight to Orlando, and decided that their flight was the perfect venue for their weddingNEED TO KNOW A couple tied the knot 35,000 feet in the air on a flight from Newark to Orlando United Airlines coordinated decorations, refreshments and — in a way — the guest list for Jake Meli and Abigail Power's sky-high wedding The pair were met with a celebratory cake at their arrival gate and headed to their honeymoon in Disney World and Universal StudiosA bride and groom's love is soaring to new heights. Jake Meli and Abigail Power said "I do" 35,000 feet into the sky while on a United flight from Newark to Orlando, the airline shared in a press release. The plane's crew coordinated the decorations, refreshments and — in a way — the guest list for the couple's marriage to take flight. In a video shared by the airline on Instagram, the ceremony kicked off with a special announcement: "Attention all passengers, we will be starting the wedding now!" "Whether you're here for the vows, the vacation, or you're just trying to get home, thank you for being part of this one-of-a-kind moment," the couple's officiant said in the video. Twinkly lights and ribbons lined the airplane's interior when Meli and Power stood at the front of the cabin to exchange vows. The idea to tie the knot in the sky actually originated as a dare, the couple told the airline — the groom's friend got married in the middle of the ocean while on a cruise and subsequently challenged Meli to "one-up him." So Meli hatched an idea. "I've been flying United since I was a kid," Meli said. "Let's see if we can maybe work something out." The cabin filled with clapping and cheers as the couple officially wed. Read the original article on People Solve the daily Crossword

Scooter Braun addresses if Taylor Swift's revenge track 'Vigilante S---' is about him and his ex

So is he shaking it off? Scooter Braun has seen the theories that Taylor Swift's Midnights revenge track "Vigilante S---" is about him. So is he shaking it off? When asked point-blank if the song's lyrics were about him and his ex-wife, Yael Cohen, Braun had an answer ready. "No, because I talk to Yael every day," Braun said on a new episode of the Question Everything podcast. "My ex-wife is one of my best friends, so me and my ex-wife laugh about that stuff. We don't even call each other 'ex.' That's, like, my partner. That's the mother of my children." In the track, which was released in October 2022, Swift sings, "She needed cold hard proof, so I gave her some / She had the envelope, where you think she got it from? / Now she gets the house, gets the kids, gets the pride / Picture me thick as thieves with your ex-wife / And she looks so pretty, driving in your Benz / Lately she's been dressing for revenge." Braun and Cohen, who share three children, separated in July 2021 and finalized their divorce in September 2022. Given the timing — and all of the previous drama between Swift and Braun over the ownership of Swift's masters that dominated headlines in 2019 — fans did what they do best and speculated that "Vigilante S---" must be about Braun. Swifties also hypothesized that another Midnights track, "Karma," referenced him. The singer has never confirmed whom either song is about, if anyone real. Later on the podcast, Braun insisted that he and Cohen are "family for life." "I have a tattoo on my finger that says 'same team' after my divorce because she and I are on the same team for life," he said. "That's what we say to each other. So no, I never thought that ["Vigilante S---"] was about us. She never thought it was about us, and everyone else kind of feeding into the fire — great strategy move, but, like, nah." After 23 years in the business, Braun announced he was retiring from music management in June 2024. At the time, the entrepreneur and record executive said he was stepping back to focus on his position as CEO of HYBE America and on his family. The news came after he unofficially stepped back the previous year from managing top artists such as Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande, both of whom helped kick-start his career in the late 2000s. As for Swift, the saga over the ownership of the masters of her music reached a stunning conclusion in May, when the Tortured Poets Department singer revealed that she had bought back her first six albums. Posting a photo of herself surrounded by the vinyl editions of the records, she wrote, "You belong with me." She then published a lengthy letter on her official website in which she stated, "All the music I've ever me." A representative for Braun sent a statement from him to Entertainment Weekly at the time. It read: "I am happy for her." Read the original article on Entertainment Weekly Solve the daily Crossword
