VIDEO: Teens charged, baby safe after Grove City police pursuit
The incident, which happened Friday, in Grove City, saw officers attempt to pull over a car because the two teens inside it, a 17-year-old girl and a 14-year-old girl, were suspected of shoplifting, according to Grove City Police Lt. Jason Stern.

According to police, the driver did not stop for the officer. Stern said the teen went on to hit seven other cars in the area of Stringtown Road and Buckeye Parkway.
'What may have started as a theft traffic stop or suspected shoplifting stop changed immediately to, OK, now we've got a real violent encounter, we've got someone who's rammed civilians, that's significant violence,' Stern said.
After a few minutes, an officer successfully used stop sticks on the car around State Route 665 and Borror Road.
Stern said that at that point, the driver and passenger ran away on foot. A Columbus Division of Police helicopter and K9 unit were used to look for them. The 14-year-old passenger gave herself up, according to police, but the driver kept running into the woods and hiding.
'For the last at least five years, you can track all over central Ohio — and Franklin County in particular — you can track an escalation of juvenile violence, where what used to be just shoplifting is now ramming vehicles and fleeing,' Stern said.
Stern said the 17-year-old was found in a creek with her one-year-old baby. He said that was the first time officers realized a baby had been with the driver — the child's mother — for the whole situation.
'It's heartbreaking for anybody that's got a conscience,' Stern said. 'Imagine the emotions, you're up here dealing with that level of violence and that type of response and then you're switching gear to care for a child that just about drowned, there's a lot going on there and it just breaks everybody's heart because that child didn't pick this.'
Police said no one, including the baby, was hurt in the incident.
The baby is now in the care of other relatives, according to Franklin County Children Services.
The 17-year-old mother is charged with obstructing official business, failure to comply with order or signal of a police officer, endangering children, and several traffic offenses including hit-skip. The 14-year-old passenger was charged with obstructing official business.

The 40-year-old, who describes herself on an Instagram account as a 'wife, mom, teacher,' will likely receive a 15-year prison sentence when she next appears in court in early October, according to the court records, which show the sentence she and prosecutors agreed upon ahead of her guilty pleas. The charges include 17 counts of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor and four counts of sexual battery, court records show. All of the charges are third-degree felonies. Kellenberger was first arraigned last October, seven months after she was placed on leave by the Shelby City School District, according to the local Richland Source. The outlet reported that the school district's superintendent informed parents in a letter that officials received 'unsettling' allegations against Kellenberger and that the Mansfield, Ohio woman was accused of sexually abusing an underage girl between February 2020 and October 2021, starting when the girl was as young as 13 years old. Kellenberger 'was immediately placed on leave and has had no contact with students or staff since the investigation began,' Superintendent Michael Browning wrote in the letter to parents at the time, according to the Richland Source. Two months later, Kellenberger was officially replaced with another teacher, the outlet reported. The Mansfield News Journal reported that prosecutors alleged in court that Kellenberger began grooming the underage student when she was 13 years old and began to sexually abuse her when she turned 14. "The relationship continued until the age of consent,' Bryan Dove, the assistant prosecutor for Richland County, reportedly told the judge, referring to Ohio's law that says 16 is the age of consent. "Consent was never an issue in this case," Kellenberger's defense attorney James Mayer III told the court, according to the newspaper. "It's an age thing." State prosecutors then told the court there was 'no use of force' in Kellenberger's sexual abuse. The victim reportedly recommended Kellenberger serve three years in jail, but the judge declared that sentence was too lenient, leading the defense attorneys for the disgraced teacher and state prosecutors to come to an agreement on the 15-year recommended sentence, according to the Mansfield News Journal. Kellenberger will also have to report with the county sheriff as a registered sex offender, court documents show. She is due back in court on Oct. 6. Suspected carjacking, police chase ends with arrest of 2 men off Route 28
A police chase ended with the arrest of two men right off Route 28 on Monday. Police say it all started with a suspected carjacking in Stowe Township early Monday morning. Victims told Stowe Township police that they had things stolen from a man with a gun at that suspected carjacking. The call came just after 4 a.m. Monday. Police say Duane Jemison took the white Hyundai sedan from those victims, among other things. A license plate reader dinged that car on Route 65 north at Kendall Avenue later that afternoon. An officer says he saw the car in a nearby McDonald's parking lot on Ohio River Boulevard. That officer says he saw both Jemison and Vaughn Hall walk out of the Shell gas station next door. Police say they started driving south on Route 65. They allege Jemison damaged multiple cars while driving, and that Hall was in the driver's seat, reaching speeds higher than 90 miles per hour during the chase. Police say Jemison crashed the car on the 31st Street Bridge. They claim Hall tried to run away from police, but was apprehended. Jemison was taken into custody under the bridge after police searched for about an hour. Police say officers found weapons, heroin bags, suspected cocaine and marijuana in the car after pulling them over. Hall is also accused of attempted homicide in one of two shootings that happened at the end of July. Those were at the Bedford Dwellings housing complex in the Hill District. Jemison was arrested on more than 30 charges. Hall is facing six of his own, in addition to being previously wanted by police for attempted homicide.

5th Cincinnati brawl suspect's mugshot released after FBI arrest
Authorities have released the mugshot of the fifth suspect arrested in connection to the now-viral brawl that broke out in downtown Cincinnati on July 26. Fox News Digital has confirmed 38-year-old Patrick Rosemond was taken into custody Monday afternoon by the FBI and Atlanta Metropolitan Major Offender's Task Force in Fulton County, Georgia. He is charged with two counts of felonious assault and aggravated riot, according to the Cincinnati Police Department. He is also charged with one count of fugitive from justice for a fingerprintable charge, according to the Fulton County Sheriff's Office. He is currently being held in the Fulton County Jail while awaiting extradition to Ohio, police said. Rosemond is a Cincinnati resident and does not have any registered addresses in Georgia, according to records obtained by Fox News Digital. Fox News Digital could not immediately locate an attorney for Rosemond. "We're proud to support our partners in getting violent offenders off the streets," FBI Atlanta said in a social media post. Rosemond is the fifth arrest stemming from the violent beatdown that left six people injured – including one with a brain injury. Authorities are still searching for a sixth suspect. Shocking footage shows a large group attacking several individuals on the corner of Fourth and Elm streets in Cincinnati's business district in the early morning hours of Saturday, July 26. Several individuals can be seen punching and kicking the victims, with one woman being knocked unconscious and lying in the street. Out of approximately 100 witnesses who watched the events unfold, only one person called 911, according to Cincinnati Police Chief Teresa Theetge. Last week, authorities arrested Jermaine Matthews, 39, Montianez Merriweather, 34, DeKyra Vernon, 24, and Dominique Kittle, 37, for their alleged roles in the brutal brawl. Matthews was initially charged with aggravated riot and assault but was slapped with additional charges of two counts of felony assault, along with another count of assault, at a bond hearing last week. He has pleaded not guilty and is currently out of jail after posting a $270,000 bond. Both Vernon and Merriweather face felonious assault, aggravated riot and assault charges. Merriweather is being held on a $500,000 bond, while Vernon is being held on a $200,000 bond. Kittle is charged with felonious assault, aggravated riot and three counts of assault. Kittle, Merriweather and Vernon are currently being held in the Hamilton County Jail. A grand jury is scheduled to meet on Aug. 8.
