The versatile winger will be making an eye-watering €20m (£17m) net per year once he officially agrees to the new terms.
That, however, will be the minimum amount the ex-Flamengo star will be pocketing at Los Blancos.
The new deal will include some major add-ons based on silverware and goals.
But the biggest incentive is arguably the Ballon d'Or clause which would see him adding an extra €2m (£1.7m) in the bank.

Medical staff at the club are assessing the injury, but do not have a timeline as yet for the 26-year-old's recovery. The Gunners deployed Havertz as a substitute for summer signing Viktor Gyokeres in their season-opening victory over Man Utd at the weekend. Arteta had made the same substitution ahead of Havertz's goal in Arsenal's Emirates Cup fixture a week earlier against Athletic Bilbao. Arsenal's other natural striker, Gabriel Jesus, remains out following an ACL injury the Brazilian picked up at the beginning of the year. Havertz also missed almost half of last season with a hamstring injury. Arsenal's poor fortune with their attackers' fitness forced them into using makeshift strikers last season. West Ham scramble to add midfield reinforcements after Fernandes and Casadó bids

West Ham have submitted bids for Southampton's Mateus Fernandes and Barcelona's Marc Casadó as they scramble to add energy and creativity to their midfield. The club also had an approach for Andrey Santos rejected by Chelsea earlier this week and were advised not to try for the Brazilian midfielder again. Graham Potter is hunting for midfield reinforcements after West Ham's frailties were exposed during their 3-0 defeat by Sunderland on the opening weekend. It has been slow going and it remains to be seen if West Ham have made any progress in their pursuit of Fernandes. Their first offer of £30m for the 21-year-old was rejected by Southampton last week and the sense is that their latest bid will not be enough to secure an agreement. Potter is looking for two midfielders – one to sit deep and control play, another to operate in a more advanced role – and a move has been made for Casadó. The 21-year-old made 36 appearances in all competitions for Barça last season. The chances of West Ham signing him are not seen as high. Wolves are also interested in Casadó. West Ham are also targeting Lille's Ngal'ayel Mukau. West Ham hope to make space in their budget by loaning Edson Álvarez to Fenerbahce. The Mexico midfielder, who earns £115,000 a week, has not made up his mind on whether to join the Turkish side. Porto and Borussia Dortmund are also interested in Álvarez. A host of players have been offered to West Ham, who have made four signings this summer. They are monitoring Romano Schmid, who plays in attacking midfield for Werder Bremen. Schmid is a potential alternative to Fernandes. West Ham expect to move forward with other targets if Álvarez goes. Bournemouth are close to signing Amine Adli after agreeing a fee of £25m plus bonuses for the Morocco forward with Bayer Leverkusen. It is understood that Adli, who was part of the side that went unbeaten in the 2023-24 Bundesliga season, is due to complete his medical on Wednesday before signing a five-year contract. The 24-year-old made almost 100 appearances for Leverkusen and is targeting a place in Morocco's squad for the African Nations Cup later this year, which they are hosting. Guardian

Fluminense keeper Fabio surpasses Peter Shilton's record for most competitive appearances

Fluminense goalkeeper Fabio overtook Peter Shilton's longstanding record for the most competitive appearances in men's soccer, playing his 1,391st match during his side's 2-0 victory over America de Cali on Tuesday. The 44-year-old Brazilian has enjoyed a professional career spanning 28 years, with senior appearances for Uniao Bandeirante (30 matches), Vasco da Gama (150), Cruzeiro (976) and Fluminense (235). He made the switch from Cruzeiro to Fluminense in 2022 and has since won the Recopa Sudamericana and Copa Libertadores one each, alongside two Taca Guanabara and two Campeonato Carioca titles. "I have every reason to thank God for allowing me to experience this special moment and achieve this tremendous milestone. It was very emotional to experience this, especially with my family by my side during the tributes," Fabio said in a statement posted by Fluminense. "It is a great satisfaction to achieve this record wearing the Fluminense jersey, which opened doors for me." Fluminense celebrated Fabio's record with a tribute at the Maracana Stadium in Rio de Janeiro following their win over America in the second leg of the Copa Sudamericana last 16 tie. "Now it's time to keep playing and striving for new achievements in every game," he added. Former England goalkeeper Shilton, who played between 1966 and 1997, was acknowledged as the record holder for the most competitive men's professional games, though the total is disputed. Guinness World Records and a number of statistics websites say the tally is 1,390 but Shilton himself, on his X feed, gives it as 1,387. The discrepancy comes from Guinness including 16 unofficial games that Shilton does not include, while he includes 13 games he played for England's Under-23s team that normally are not counted.
