ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund raises stake in THIS Rekha Jhunjhunwala-owned insurance stock

Rekha Jhunjhunwala stocks: ICICI Prudential Fund informed exchanges that it has raised its stake in the general insurance company, Star Health and Allied Insurance, also part of Rekha Jhunjhunwala's portfolio, to past 5% mark.
The mutual fund house in a filing on May 5 said that the schemes of ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund acquired 13,85,269 shares of the company via the secondary market, taking its holding past 5% in the insurance company.
"ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund (the Fund) under its various schemes holds equity shares of Star Health and Allied Insurance Company Ltd. (the Company) whose shares are listed on your Stock Exchange. In this regard, kindly note that the schemes of the Fund have done acquisition of 13,85,269 shares of the company on May 02, 2025. As a result of the aforesaid purchase, the shareholding of the Fund has exceeded 5% of the paid-up capital of the company," the exchange filing said.
Prior to the latest stake purchase, ICICI Prudential held 2,91,58,788 shares of this Rekha Jhunjhunwala stock, representing a 4.96% stake. Now, its holding stands at 3,05,44,057 shares or 5.20%.
Meanwhile, Rekha Jhunjhunwala, classified as part of the promoter group of Star Health and Allied Insurance, held 1,78,70,977 shares of the company, representing a 3.04% stake as of the March 2025 quarter.
Her husband and well-known market investor, late Rakesh Jhunjhunwala, held 8,28,82,958 shares or 14.10% stake. He was classified as a promoter of the company, too.
Barring a gains of 2% in the last one month, Star Health's performance has been dismal in the last one year. The stock is down 18% on a three-month basis while it has lost 26% in the past six months. Star Health share price has also dropped 35% in the last one year.
On Tuesday, May 6, Star Health's share price settled 5% lower at ₹ 356.15 on the BSE.

About 20.23 crore shares of Wipro, amounting to a 1.93 per cent stake, were exchanged among promoter group entities through open market transactions on Monday, according to exchange data. Wipro shares rose by 1.09 per cent to close at Rs 251.30 on BSE. The stock closed 1.26 per cent higher at Rs 251.72 apiece on the National Stock Exchange (NSE). According to the block deal data available with the NSE, promoter entity Azim Premji Trust offloaded 20.23 crore equity shares or 1.93 per cent stake in Wipro. The transaction, valued at around Rs 5,057 crore, was executed at an average price of Rs 250 per share. Meanwhile, Premji Invest through its arm Prazim Trading and Investment Company Pvt Ltd, Hasham Traders and Prazim Traders bought these shares at the same price. Prazim, Zash and Hasham Traders are part of Wipro's promoter group. In November last year, Premji Invest through Prazim Trading and Investment Company purchased 8.49 crore shares or 1.6 per cent stake in Wipro for Rs 4,757 crore, while Prazim and Zash Traders offloaded an equal number of shares in the IT company.

This took the combined deal value to Rs 1,308.87 crore. Meanwhile, Suzlon Energy's promoter entities Tanti Holdings Pvt Ltd, Vinod Ranchhodhbhai Tanti (Chairperson-MD of Suzlon Energy), Tanti Ranchhodbhai Ramjibhai and Rambhaben Ukabhai Tanti offloaded an equal number of shares at the same price, as per the NSE data. Live Events After the stake sale, the combined holding of Suzlon Energy's promoters dipped to 11.8 per cent from 13.25 per cent. Shares of Suzlon Energy went up 0.76 per cent to settle at Rs 67.22 apiece on the NSE. In a separate block deal on the BSE, Shankara Building Products ' promoter and MD Sukumar Srinivas divested a 7.8 per cent stake in the company for Rs 176 crore through open market transactions. Following the stake sale, the promoters' holding in Shankara Building Products dipped to 41.41 per cent from 49.25 per cent. As per the data, Srinivas offloaded 19 lakh shares of Shankara Building Products at an average price of Rs 926.1 apiece, taking the combined value to Rs 175.95 crore. Meanwhile, Chartered Finance and Leasi NG, Singularity Equity Fund I, Ace Infracity Developers, Sageone Investment Managers LLP, Riti Foundation, RR Foundation, S R Foundation and Swati Foundation purchased these shares. Protean eGov Tech bags order worth ₹100 cr from Bima Sugam Marketplace

Protean eGov Technologies has secured a work order worth approximately ₹100 crore from the Bima Sugam India Federation (BSIF) through the request for proposal (RFP) process. As per the terms outlined in the work order, Protean will act as the Technology Solution Provider for the complete development, implementation, support, and maintenance of the Bima Sugam Marketplace. The scope also includes platform integrations and adherence to marketplace protocols. Protean is a public technology firm known for its role in designing, implementing, and managing large-scale digital infrastructure projects for various government entities. 'This engagement further strengthens Protean's role as a trusted technology partner in India's Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) journey, building on our legacy of enabling critical citizen-centric digital systems at national scale,' the company said in an exchange filing. Q4 financial results In the fourth quarter of FY25, the company reported a consolidated net profit of ₹20 crore, marking a 6 per cent year-on-year increase. Revenue from operations remained steady at ₹222 crore during the same period. For the full financial year, Protean posted consolidated revenue from operations of ₹841 crore, reflecting a 5 per cent decline year-on-year. EBITDA for FY25 stood at ₹149 crore, down from ₹157 crore in FY24. The EBITDA margin was recorded at 16.3 per cent. Promoter divestments and stake sales In November, NSE Investments, classified as a non-promoter, proposed to sell 4,117,303 shares through an offer-for-sale (OFS), representing a 10.16 per cent base offer stake. The OFS was scheduled for 22–25 November, with the floor price set at ₹1,550 per share. On 8 August 2024, Standard Chartered Bank exited its 3.09 per cent stake in Protean through an open market transaction. According to BSE bulk deal data, it sold 1.2 million shares at an average price of ₹1,799.79 per share, totalling ₹224.97 crore. Earlier, on 21 May 2024, HDFC Bank sold its entire 3.20 per cent holding in Protean. The bank offloaded 1,294,326 shares at an average price of ₹1,160.15 per share, generating a transaction value of ₹150.16 crore.
