1. A car trash can sure to save the day (and your upholstery) from suckers, soda bottles, and all the other sticky substances your kids sneak into the car. It turns out cupholders are, in fact, not tiny trash cans.
Amazon
Promising review:"This is the most useful little item I have EVER placed in my car for litter management. It's easy to use, easy to empty, AND it doubles as a spare cup holder when needed. I've ordered more for our other cars. The kids have really improved their management of basic tidiness in the car with this in our family vehicle. My husband has managed to keep the passenger seat easy for me to join him in his car, and now our teens will enjoy an uncluttered life in the 'teen mobile.'" — DW

Product seems well built, and is comfortable on your shoulder or hand because of the padding." — Hung

Promising review: "I have four expensive fabric-covered chairs in my kitchen dining area that were long overdue to be cleaned and were so heavily soiled that I wasn't sure even a good cleaning would help. I researched all the available portable cleaning machines and this seemed to be the one with the best ratings and recommendations. I was amazed at the results when I used it on the chairs. Years of ground-in dirt and grime came out easily, and when I looked at the solution that was vacuumed out it was the color of dark chocolate. I did a second cleaning and then used a spray bottle to apply clean water to rinse. Honestly, the chairs looked so good even my son was so impressed he bought one. I want to add that I am very close to eighty. and I had no problems operating it. I highly recommend it, and I rate it five stars plus!" — Kathleen Petro

At the end of October, my husband and I went to the ocean, and as we tried to be neat — the sand was still in the car. Finally, I got rid of it! The Magic Eraser was okay but I used several at a time and I had to scrub so hard. But this product oh my goodness, legit a miracle. It doesn't have any type of smell. As a former Catholic school uniform wearer, I have discovered that this stuff was VITAL to freshening up wrinkly dress shirts that spent the after-school hours stuffed in a gym bag. The scent is light and fresh, and its wrinkle-releasing powers are nearly instant. It definitely works better on some fabrics than others (great on cotton, less great on some synthetics), but it'll improve the look of most without dealing with an iron or steamer." — Danielle Healy, BuzzFeed

I haven't found anything I try that it won't open for me. Promising review: "Super happy with these pillowcases — both sides are fairly cool, but the cooling side never warms up, which is wonderful in 110-degree California summers. They do not smell (something I worry about with nontraditional linen fabrics). They do tend to get a little wrinkly, but since they zip up, they quickly smooth out." — Tonia

45. A bag of citrusy Liquid I.V. Hydration packets, with three times the electrolytes of a typical sports drink, great for packing on long hikes, recovering after a run, and keeping close during long days strolling in the sun. Honestly, you may just wanna keep these in your bag 24/7.
www.amazon.com
These are also gluten-, soy-, and dairy-free!
Promising review:"No issues with the packaging. I love the lemon-lime taste. It dissolves in your water easily; I only used a straw to stir it up. It was not gritty, and after drinking a glass, I truly felt my headache vanish, which I felt coming on after a heavy workout! My husband uses them for hangover days when you just don't want to feel as if you are nearing death, LOL! Satisfied and definitely 5 stars. Great to have on hand." — Britt

46. Cerave eye repair cream, which is cooked up with their famous blend of ceramides (a skincare "secret sauce" if you will) and a healthy dose of hyaluronic acid to boost hydration and niacinamide to help tighten and brighten the appearance of skin. If you're revitalizing your skincare routine, add this to the mix and reduce the appearance of dark circles, under-eye puffiness, *and* fine lines. ~Eye~ love to see it.

Promising review:"What sorcery is this??? Listen I'm 48, and I've bought a lot of face cream 'stuff' over the years. Expensive stuff that did nothing. Finally started using Cerave thanks to my 19-year-old daughter and TikTok, lol. I decided to try the eye cream, and I noticed a difference the morning I started using it. The brightening is apparent. Love this stuff." — Michelle Petrosh

Kitsch is a woman-owned accessory brand that was founded in 2010. They sell a wide variety of beauty products and hair accessories for all hair types.
Promising review:"I ordered this because I was sick of keeping a towel on my head for so long while my hair dried, and if I didn't have a towel, my shirt was soaking wet from my hair after a shower. For reference, I had very long, thick hair and it takes a while to air-dry — and I'm so happy I found this scrunchie! It's a lot bigger in person than it looks in the image, which is great because it covers more of your hair to help dry it. No more heavy towels on my head or tight towel wraps." — Meghan

I bought $50 worth of cheap home decor from Amazon Haul. Here's what I'd buy again
As a home editor on a budget, I'm always looking out for furniture and decor that looks more expensive than it actually is. As much as I'm personally interested in scoring deals, I also love sharing these affordable home products with CNN Underscored readers. And there's no doubt that Amazon is one of the most convenient places to find hidden gems that will elevate your space. I've had my eye on Amazon Haul — a marketplace where pretty much everything from tech gadgets to fashion finds costs less than $20 and often is unbranded — ever since it launched less than a year ago, but I was skeptical about the selection of home decor and its quality. To find out what it was really like, I spent hours scrolling through Amazon Haul and ordered $50 worth of decor. Everything I added to my cart was $10 or less, but surprisingly, only a few things proved to be useless junk. Keep reading to discover the cheap home decor finds I'd actually consider purchasing again. Yuxiang Kitchen Plant Mister Spray Bottle I always forget to water my plants, so I figured putting this pretty spray bottle next to my greenery would serve as a stylish reminder. I love the colorful, vintage-inspired design. Even though it costs just $5, the glass felt heavy-duty and the nozzle put out a strong stream of water. Wild Autumn Dried Pampas Grass Pampas grass is classic fall decor. This $10 bundle of dried pampas grass from Amazon Haul was so fluffy (it could easily fill an entire vase or even a few smaller vases), and it had a subtle earthy scent. It's an easy way to add an autumnal touch practically anywhere in your home. It sheds a lot at first, so definitely open it up outside and give the bundle a good shake. Rihvy Rechargeable Wall Lights, 2-Pack I was most excited about these USB-C rechargeable wall sconces. I didn't feel like drilling anything into my walls, so I used the included double-sided tape — it's surprisingly strong — and stuck the lights on both sides of my bed. They have a magnetic head that makes it easy to adjust the angle (plus a remote for changing the brightness and warmth), so they could be used as a reading light or as a spotlight for artwork on the wall. The only downside is that they don't hold a charge very long. But since you can detach them from the wall, it's no big deal to plug them in as needed. Smart Bargain White Lotus Ring Dish I'm a sucker for ring dishes, and I highly recommend any jewelry-wearing person keep several scattered all over their home. Not only are they a safe place to hold rings and earrings when you take them off but they're an easy way to add a decorative touch to places like your dresser, nightstand, and bathroom or kitchen countertops. This one is simple in design (and comes in two colors), but it does its job. Acithgl Bubble Candle, 2-Pack These aren't the kind of candles I'd recommend lighting, though they do have wicks and a floral scent. Instead, I'd style them on a pretty tray and place them on a bookshelf, dresser or media console. At under $4 apiece in some colors, I think these are a pretty good value. I've seen similar candles go for double the price. Heart Origin Direct Faux-Marble Silicone Tray I got this tray in a now-unavailable white marble pattern, but the pink version is just as chic. It definitely can't pass as real marble because it's clearly made from silicone, but that makes it a good addition to a bathroom countertop or vanity because it won't slip and is easy to clean. I plan to place this in my living room to hold my candle tools (like matches and a wick trimmer). Linwus Retro Vinyl Record Coasters, 6-Pack Since I'm also CNN Underscored's gift guide editor, I've always got holiday shopping on the brain. These vinyl-shaped coasters would make such a great stocking stuffer or just-because present for the music lover in your life. They're made of plastic, so the quality is what you'd expect for $3, but surprisingly, this was one of the only items I ordered that came in gift-ready packaging as opposed to a plastic bag or an unmarked cardboard box. What is Amazon Haul? What is Amazon Haul? Amazon Haul launched in November 2024 as a mobile-only shopping experience where everything could be purchased at ridiculously low prices, similar to Shein and Temu. Though the Amazon Haul storefront appears to be available on desktop now too, it's still in beta mode. In my experience, the search function is finicky and descriptions for many products are bare bones. You have to spend at least $25 to get free shipping, which can take up to two weeks (though all my items were delivered much faster than expected). You can even get a slight discount for spending more; I got 5% knocked off because my cart totaled $50. Are Amazon Haul items returnable? Are Amazon Haul items returnable? According to Amazon's return policy, items purchased from Amazon Haul that cost over $3 can be returned within 15 days of delivery, while anything less than $3 is considered final sale. Since some of the items I bought arrived a week earlier than expected, I noticed that the return window was still based on the original delivery date, so I ended up getting more time. (This isn't advertised anywhere, though.) Is Amazon Haul worth it? Is Amazon Haul worth it? Whether shopping on Amazon Haul is worth it or not depends on what you're looking for and how you set your expectations. As long as you don't expect high-quality products at dirt-cheap prices, you have a good chance of avoiding disappointment. In total, I ordered 11 items from Amazon Haul and was satisfied with the quality of seven of them. Some items only slightly missed the mark; the flower vase I ordered was too lightweight for my liking and kept tipping over, while this acrylic jar arrived chipped and required way too much assembly for a $5 product. In many cases, I think you could find similarly priced items on Amazon's regular storefront that come with the retailer's beloved two-day shipping and 30-day return window. However, it's worth mentioning that I saw quite a few items (including some of the decor finds on my list) with identical Amazon Haul and regular Amazon listings, both at the same price. I even found some brand-name items hidden among Amazon Haul's pages, so you never know what you'll come across. You'll probably have trouble finding very specific types of home decor on Amazon Haul, so it's better to have an open mind if you're determined to shop there. CNN Underscored has a team of skilled writers and editors who have many years of experience testing, researching and recommending products, and they ensure each article is carefully edited and products are properly vetted. We talk to top experts when applicable to make certain we are testing each product accurately, recommending only the best products and considering the pros and cons of each item. This story was written by our home and gifts editor Amina Lake Patel, who has seven years of experience writing about products within the home and lifestyle space. She bought $50 worth of home decor on Amazon Haul to see if any of it is actually worth buying.

I haven't used wet yet, but have used dry, and it works great! I have a smooth miniature dachshund, and this has removed more dead hair than the bristle brush I had been using. It is larger than expected and fits very comfortably on the hand. You basically pet your dog's coat and it gets down to the skin without using any pressure or pulling.' 'When I use this while bathing my dog, it gets a lot of shedding out!' someone else added. 'I got it because I wanted something more gentle for my dog in the bath than his scrub brush. He's old and deserves the best. I also like how this lightweight brush fits on my hand; it's better than holding a heavy scrub brush. Also, I like it because it's more sanitary, it's solid silicone, no nooks and crannies down at the base of the bristles. It's something you can completely clean and sanitize.' Amazon Autos now selling used Hertz vehicles, expanding inventory beyond Hyundai partnership
In-depth Amazon coverage from the tech giant's hometown, including e-commerce, AWS, Amazon Prime, Alexa, logistics, devices, and more. Beyond being a rental car company, Hertz is also a large used car dealer, selling thousands of vehicles each year. (Hertz Image) Your next used car purchase could be a former rental car that you find on Amazon. Hertz Car Sales is now selling its pre-owned vehicles on Amazon Autos, the marketplace launched by the tech giant last year, allowing shoppers to browse inventory and purchase a car online before picking it up at a Hertz location. Seattle is among the initial locations for such a transaction, along with Dallas, Houston and Los Angeles, Hertz announced this week. Hertz becomes the first such fleet dealer on the platform, which expands Amazon's inventory beyond its launch partnership with Hyundai dealerships. Hertz is offering pre-owned models from Nissan, Toyota, Chevrolet, Volvo and others. A search of the Hertz offerings on Amazon on Thursday showed approximately 100 vehicles within 75 miles of my location in Seattle. A 2024 Volkswagen Jetta, for instance, with 14,900 miles, is priced at $18,000. Known primarily as a rental car company, Hertz sells thousands of vehicles each year through its dozens of used car dealerships across the U.S. and Canada. The company plans to expand the Amazon offering to 45 locations nationwide. Hertz, which went bankrupt during the pandemic, called the move a significant step in its broader transformation strategy, 'which includes forging innovative technology partnerships to provide a more seamless customer experience.' Vehicle shopping and purchases within the Amazon store come with some of the familiar features that Amazon shoppers are used to, such as customer reviews, seller (dealership) reviews, add to cart, and Amazon's familiar checkout process.
