Two killed in head-on crash on SH 158
ECTOR COUNTY, Texas (KMID/KPEJ)- The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating after two men were killed early Monday morning in a crash on State Highway 158.
According to a crash report, around 4:30 am on May 19, DPS troopers were called to the scene of a two-vehicle crash on SH 158, near mile marker 268. Investigators said the driver of a 2021 Ford F-350, identified as 32-year-old Victor Manuel Ibarra, of Wink, and the driver of a 2010 Ford F-350, identified as 56-year-old Jorge Espinoza, of Midland, both died at the scene.
Troopers determined that Ibarra was traveling eastbound on SH 159 while Espinoza was traveling westbound on the same highway when, for unknown reasons, Ibarra crossed the double yellow line into the westbound lane. Investigators said the vehicles collided head-on.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing.

12-year-old killed, 4 passengers injured in Tuscaloosa County crash
TUSCALOOSA COUNTY, Ala. (WIAT) — A 12-year-old passenger was killed in a crash involving two pickup trucks in Tuscaloosa County on Sunday afternoon, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency. MCSO searching for suspect who evaded on motorcycle
MIDLAND COUNTY, Texas (KMID/KPEJ)- The Midland County Sheriff's Office has asked for help from the community to identify a suspect accused of evading arrest. According to Crime Stoppers, on May 30, investigators with the MCSO tried to contact a man at the Kent Kwik located in the 5000 block of Highway 349. However, the man ran from deputies, got on his motorcycle, and sped away from the parking lot. MCSO said that investigators followed the motorcycle, but it continued to evade, reaching speeds of more than 100 miles per hour. When the suspect reached Interstate 20, he began to drive on the wrong side of the road and, because of safety concerns, investigators terminated the pursuit; but still want to identify the man who got away. 5-year-old expected to survive after suspected drunk driver runs red light
The 5-year-old girl who was critically injured after a suspected drunk driver ran a red light last week is expected to survive.
