2025 PFL 6 video: Jena Bishop uses slick BJJ skillset to tap Ekaterina Shakalova
At 2025 PFL World Tournament 6 on Friday, Bishop (9-2) submitted Ukraine's Ekaterina Shakalova (9-3) with a rear-naked choke at 2:07 of Round 2. The fight took place on the prelims at INTRUST Bank Arena in Wichita, Kan.
Bishop, 39, was relentless in her Brazilian jiu-jitsu attack, constantly attempting submissions in the first round. Quickly in Round 2, Bishop dragged the fight to the canvas. Despite Shakalova's best defensive attempts, Bishop finally got a tight enough squeeze to get a tap and advance to the tournament final. Bishop will face the winner of Liz Carmouche vs. Elora Dana, which takes place later on the card.

Geoff Neal vs. Carlos Prates prediction, pick, start time for UFC 319
Geoff Neal and Carlos Prates meet on the main card of UFC 319 at United Center in Chicago. Check out this quick breakdown of the matchup from MMA Junkie analyst Dan Tom. Last event: 4-2 UFC main cards, 2025: 80-60-1 Geoff Neal vs. Carlos Prates UFC 319 preview Neal (16-6 MMA, 8-4 UFC) will look to make it back-to-back victories following a first-round finish of former lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos at UFC 308. The result ended a two-fight skid against Shavkat Rakhmonov and Ian Machado Garry. Prior to those setbacks, "Handz of Steel" won a split decision over Santiago Ponzinibbio and finished Vicente Luque in consecutive fights. ... Prates (21-7 MMA, 4-1 UFC) suffered his first UFC loss in April by decision against Ian Machado Garry. Prior to that, Prates left a trail of wreckage in stoppages of Trevin Giles, Charles Radtke, Li Jingliang and Neil Magny. Geoff Neal vs. Carlos Prates UFC 319 expert pick, prediction Filling out the main card is a striker's delight at welterweight between Geoff Neal and Carlos Prates. Aside from this being a tricky southpaw vs. southpaw affair, I'm also a big fan of both fighters, so picking this one was difficult. On one hand, I Neal is a traditionally durable power puncher whose offensive output will keep him as both a knockout and scoring threat for all three frames. So if this fight extends, Neal will probably be live due to Prates' sometimes lower-output approach. However, when looking at past performances of Prates against fellow southpaws, the Fighting Nerds product appears to be incredibly comfortable fighting other lefties – even showing the ability to still find his favored killshots to the liver. I don't like picking against Fortis MMA fighters, but I'll officially side with Prates to score another body-knee knockout by the end of Round 2. Geoff Neal vs. Carlos Prates UFC 319 odds The oddsmakers and the public favor the Brazilian fighter, listing Prates -235 and Neal +194 via FanDuel. Geoff Neal vs. Carlos Prates UFC 319 start time, how to watch Neal and Prates are expected to walk to the cage at approximately 11:10 p.m. ET. The fight broadcasts live on ESPN+ pay-per-view.

Real Madrid's offer to swap attacking star for Arsenal mainstay rejected
As Real Madrid gear up for the final two weeks of the transfer market, much of the focus has been on the future of Rodrygo. The Brazilian international has so far resisted the idea of leaving Real Madrid so far, but continues to be linked with a move to some of the biggest clubs in the world. Real Madrid, to that end, are perhaps antimidating a late departure as well, which is why the club have recently tried to leverage the forward's exit to make an approach for one of their top defensive targets. Real Madrid offer for Arsenal rejected As per reports relayed by The Touchline, Real Madrid had contacted Arsenal on Wednesday night over a potential deal for William Saliba. The French international has been on Real Madrid's radar for quite some time now and was, in fact, the club's top defensive target earlier in the summer. During the talks with Arsenal, Real Madrid proposed the idea of a swap deal involving Saliba and Rodrygo – something the English club vehemently rejected. Regarded as one of Premier League's best defenders, Saliba has been instrumental in Arsenal's recent success under Mikel Arteta. Real Madrid, to that end, view Saliba as a key defensive target as they look to add fresh blood to a defensive line that relies heavily on aged stars such as Antonio Rudiger and David Alaba. New coach Xabi Alonso is determined to make the Real Madrid team go through a transition at the back, with the head coach notably bringing in Dean Huijsen earlier in the summer. However, it appears Saliba is no longer a realistic option for Los Blancos as the Frenchman has no desire to leave Arsenal, who are equally keen on keeping hold of the player.

Ex-UFC champion Jessica Andrade interested in trilogy bout with Rose Namajunas
Jessica Andrade is down to run a third fight with fellow ex-UFC champion Rose Namajunas. After two memorable bouts, where each fighter walked away with a win, Andrade likes the idea of doing a trilogy bout with Namajunas to settle their score. Andrade (26-14 MMA, 17-12 UFC), who returned to 115 pounds, is even opening in moving up to flyweight, where Namajunas now competes. "Yeah, I've thought about it many times, and I thought that it was going to happen at 115. However, Rose now went up a weight class, and I don't think that she's interested in returning to 115 pounds," Andrade told Hablemos MMA in Spanish.. "But if the UFC tells me, 'Jessica, you want to do a trilogy with her?' for me, it would be very good. I like this idea a lot. It would be good to get a third fight with Rose." Namajunas and Andrade first fought in 2019. The Brazilian knocked out Namajunas with a devastating slam to win the UFC women's strawweight title and two $50,000 bonuses for Fight of the Night and Performance of the Night. In their rematch a year later in 2020, Namajunas avenged her loss, outpointing Andrade in a non-title fight that also won Fight of the Night. Andrade remembers very well the night she became champion by scoring one of the scariest knockouts in UFC history. "Yeah, I was also very scared," Andrade said, looking back at her title-winning performance. "At first, I didn't think about it. I just thought about my win. But when I went up on the cage and looked at the screen, I went, 'Oh my God. Is she dead?' But then she sat up and was talking, and she looked fine, but yeah, the original thought was, 'Oh my God. How is she alive? She didn't die.'" Andrade returns to the cage this Saturday in the preliminary card of UFC 319 – which takes place at United Center in Chicago. She takes on ranked contender Loopy Godinez in a strawweight matchup. Andrade looks to snap a two-fight losing streak.
