Woman finds old Pokemon cards in storage and can't get over their true value

Daily Mirror4 hours ago
A woman was baffled after she brought her old Pokémon cards to be evaluated – only to learn that her whole collection is estimated to be worth a staggering sum in total
A woman called in some Pokémon experts to look over the old binder filled with collectible cards that she'd found among her old items – and she couldn't believe what they told her.

While Pokémon cards are a fun thing to collect and play with, some might not realise that some cards can be resold for thousands of pounds. So when one woman came across her old binder that was filled with Pokémon cards she'd collected as a child, she quickly took them to Deep Dive Games Athens to get an estimate on how much her collection could be worth while also finding out if her collection included any hidden gems.

The game sellers quickly realised what they'd just come across – and decided to film themselves flipping through her binder of cards as they admired what they found inside.

"Customer brought in a binder they found in storage. Asked if they were worth anything..." they wrote in the overlay of the TikTok video, which showed them looking through the binder that was filled with cards.
"I need to send this to my Pokémon discord channel so they just, like, lose their ever loving minds," one of the game sellers said.

To this, the woman said: "I did not realise. I thought maybe it was a couple hundred dollars."
The seller went on to say that there were several cards he'd seen already that would be worth $50-100 [£36-73] each, but would be worth even more if sold in mint condition, like the cards in the binder appeared to be.
In her collection was also a first edition Charizard, which in itself has previously regularly been sold for more than $300,000 (£221,036), according to eBay.

However, as her card was in German, it could affect the value of it. The collection also included several shiny cards, as well as legendary cards, such as Crystal Lugia, and a first edition Gyarados card.
The woman kindly offered to give the sellers a card if they found anything they liked – but they declined as the items are so valuable. They pointed out that some of the cards were easily worth $300-500 [£220-368] each.
And the game sellers weren't the only ones impressed with the collection – as several viewers took to the comment section to share their amazement.

Another joked: "That's retirement sorted lol." And another gushed: "Jeeeez she's sitting on tens of thousands."
"She seems like a really sweet kind person I'm glad she went to you and didn't get swindled by some bad person."

It took The Beast quizzer Mark Labbett just five questions to knock out player Nicola but could you have answered all five in just twenty seconds? Bradley Walsh watched on as the players were whittled off one-by-one. In the end, only Nicola remained to take on the final chase but it was clear from the get-go she was out of her depth. Nicola getting to the final chase had already beaten the odds after she actually performed the worst in her cash builder round. She managed to accumulate just £2,000 in comparison to Casey's £5k and Ian's £8,000. However, both were eliminated before making it to the end. Determined to beat Mark, Nicola spent two minutes answering general knowledge questions but only managed to get a total of four right. This left her with a grand total of five including her one point head start. Admitting she had a "feeling she'd be caught", she was indeed thanks to Mark needing just twenty seconds to knock her out. Mark got all five questions right straight away - but would you have fared just as well? The Chase's Jenny Ryan gobsmacked as she wins Celebrity Catchphrase in record time Firstly, Bradley asked the star: "What type of fashion acceseroy is a trilby?" He answered correctly with "hat" before the star host moved onto the second question. Bradley asked him: "Eric 'Butterbean' Esch has 58 KOs in what sport?" The correct answer was boxing. For Mark's third question, he was asked: "Zodiac and Consul were brands by which carmaker?" Mark shot back quickly with the correct answer of "Ford" before Bradley asked him: "James Collinson was a member of which artistic brotherhood?" Whizzing through in just 15 seconds, Mark correctly identified the answer to be: "Pre-Raphelite." His final question to catch hapless Nicola was: "'Frosch' is the German word for what amphibian?" Therefore, Amir's birthday is January 24th, corresponding to the 24th word in the sentence. - Viewers of Lee Mack's popular ITV show were left dumbfounded by a question that also left the players perplexed. I had 3 kids under 2 – everyone's baffled when I tell them… it was a shock to me too, but was down to a simple mistake

A MUM who had three kids under the age of two has revealed people are always baffled when she tells them. Nicole took to her TikTok page to explain her unusual situation, which occurred when she fell pregnant with twins when her daughter was 11 months old. 6 6 6 6 And in the video, she admitted the pregnancy was a "huge shock", and happened when she made a very easy error. "I actually didn't pick up my pill prescription from the doctors for like five days, and then just started taking it and thought I'd be all right," she said. "We'd actually decided that we only wanted to have one child together, because he already had a five-year-old." Nicole continued to say her "life was blissful" when her daughter was born, and she and her other half were "really in that bubble" thanks to their little girl being a "happy, easy baby". So when she started to get pregnancy symptoms when her daughter was 11 months old, she took a test, and discovered she was expecting again. For the first scan, Nicole's husband couldn't make it, so she took her mum. Laying down ready for the scan, she was chatting to the sonographer and said that she could already feel the baby moving - to which the pro insisted it was "wind", unless she had "more than one baby" in there. The scan then began, with the sonographer telling Nicole she was "right". "I thought she was joking!" When she realised that she wasn't joking, and she was actually pregnant with twins, Nicole went into "full panic mode" and burst into tears. Jesy Nelson breaks silence on twins' life-saving surgery in first TV interview The situation was made even more emotional by the fact that her husband was an identical twin, but he tragically lost his brother aged 20. And the drama continued thanks to the fact that her twins shared one placenta - meaning the pregnancy was high risk, and she had to have scans at hospital every two weeks. "Then they decided to come at 10 and a half weeks early. So they were born at 29 weeks!" she concluded. The comments section on the video was somewhat surprisingly filled with other mums saying they'd found themselves in very similar situations. "I'm so similar, I fell pregnant when my son was 11 months and had identical twin girls at 29 weeks too," one wrote. "For 10 days I had 3 under 18 months." What are the different types of twins? TWINS are when two children are produced in the same pregnancy. They can be identical or different, and two boys, two girls, or a girl and a boy. Twins are quite rare, but are usually born completely healthy What are the different types of twins? Monozygotic – identical twins ('one cell' twins) Dizygotic – also known as 'fraternal', non identical twins. Babies are no more alike than siblings born at separate times, and they can be the same or different sexes Conjoined twins – identical twins that are joined together. They are extremely rare, and it's estimated they range from one in 49,000 to 189,000 births, although around half are stillborn, and one third die within 24 hours. Can identical twins be two different sexes? Identical twins are always of the same sex because they form from the same fertilised egg that contains either female or male chromosomes. The single egg is divided into two separate embryos, and they occur in about three in every 1000 deliveries worldwide. Therefore, boy/girl twins are always fraternal (or dizygotic), as their chromosomes are either XY (male) or XX (female). What are Di Di twins? Di Di stands for Dichronic Diamniotic, and they are the common type of twins. They have their own amniotic sacs and placenta, so are just sharing the womb of the mother, and are therefore not identical. There are few complications with Di Di twins, so have a good chance of being born completely healthy without intervention from your doctor. Di di twins are more likely to be non-identical than identical. "This happened to me!" another said. "But all 3 of mine were in the same school year my daughter was the oldest in the year and my boys were the youngest in the year!!!" "Same story for us, when my first boy was 8 months old I became pregnant with identical twin boys," a third admitted. "My eldest was exactly 1/5 years when they were born! Wild ride ever since haha!" "This happened to me," someone else said. "My daughter was 8 months - the twins were born when she was 16 months." 6 6
