Capital Sana'a inspects summer activities at al-Madani Center in al-Thawra district
Capital Sana'a undersecretary for Agricultural Affairs Mohammed Saree on Sunday inspected the summer activities at Abu al-Hasan al-Madani Summer Center in al-Thawra district.
Saree, along with staff from the Capital Sana'a Agricultural and Fisheries Projects and Initiatives Financing Unit, observed the students' engagement in the summer program's activities and their enthusiasm to learn.
They witnessed examples of the students' skills and talents, demonstrating the benefits of the courses and the efforts made to ensure their success.
Saree commended the dedication of the center's staff in educating and raising awareness among the students, equipping them with knowledge, understanding, Quranic culture, and protecting them from soft power and harmful cultures.

Sana'a City inaugurates women Koranic training center
Sana'a - Saba: The General Administration of the Generation of the Holy Quran Schools, affiliated with the Quranic Culture Unit of the Women's Authority in the Capital Secretariat, opened the first women's center for training and qualification for Quranic permits. At the opening, Umma Al-Salam Al-Qasimi, head of the Generation of the Quran Schools, explained that the center aims to qualify female memorizers of the Holy Quran to receive permits with chains of transmission traceable back to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family), enabling them to recite the Holy Quran and teach it to others. She highlighted the importance of learning and teaching the Holy Quran and enrolling sons and daughters in Generation of the Quran schools. Al-Qasimi praised the efforts of the Women's Authority and the Cultural Unit in sponsoring and monitoring these schools in response to the directives of the Leader of the Revolution, Sayyid Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi. Ibtisam Al-Mahtoori, head of the General Mobilization Unit at the Women's Authority, praised the efforts of those in charge of the center, which is the first center specializing in ijazahs with a specialized female cadre based on the "Believe and Do Righteous Deeds" methodology. For her part, Wedad Al-Nashri, director of the Training and Qualification Center, reviewed the conditions for admission to the center and its operating mechanism, which serves the community by graduating female teachers who have memorized the Holy Quran. On Islamic New Year, Saudi Arabia unveils new gold-embroidered Kiswa for Kaaba
Saudi Arabia unveiled the new Kiswa, the black and gold cloth that covers the Kaaba in Mecca, on the first day of the Islamic New Year in a sacred tradition that dates back to the Prophet Mohammed. The new Kiswa is made of 670 kilograms of natural black silk and 150 kilograms of gold and silver-plated thread. It features 68 Quranic verses embroidered with 24-karat gold-plated silver, all hand-stitched by skilled artisans using traditional Islamic embroidery techniques. The massive textile spans 658 square meters, consists of 47 silk panels, and weighs more than a metric ton. It is produced annually at the King Abdulaziz Complex for the Manufacturing of the Kaaba's Kiswa in Mecca, and its estimated cost is approximately $4.5 million (SAR 17 million). A ritual of reverence and precision The Kiswa is replaced every year on the first day of Muharram – which falls on Thursday in the lunar calendar – in a carefully coordinated operation involving over a hundred specialized technicians. The installation is carried out using electric lifts and scaffolding to ensure that no part of the Kaaba is exposed at any time. To protect the Kiswa from damage during the Hajj pilgrimage, a white cotton covering known as the 'Ihram of the Kaaba' is temporarily added to its lower portion. This barrier shields the cloth from being touched, torn, or stained as millions of pilgrims circumambulate the Kaaba during the peak days of worship.
