Kashmir cause: JI says efforts will continue
Ameerul Azim was taking to the delegation of Kashmir welfare organization Relief Organization for Kashmiri Muslims at Mansoorah. The delegation included former emir JI Azad Kashmir Abdul Rashid Turabi, Relief Organization for Kashmiri Muslims Chairman Nazir Ahmed Qureshi, Vice Chairman Sanaullah Dar, Secretary General Raja Khalid Mahmood Khan and project manager Ahmed Hussain.
The delegation during meeting with Ameerul Azim informed him about different aspects of Kashmir and Kashmiri refugees. Relief Organization for Kashmiri Muslims delegation also held meeting with Emir JI Pakistan Engineer Hafiz Naeemur Rehman and Deputy Secretary General JI Syed Waqas Anjum Jafri at Mansoorah.
According to the press release issued by the Relief Organization for Kashmiri Muslims, the delegation of the organization has started the fundraising campaign for freedom movement of Kashmir and Kashmiri refugees present in Pakistan. Initially this delegation visited Sialkot and met with the Jamaat-e-Islami district leaders, office-bearers of Alkhidmat Foundation and business community. This delegation will also visit Karachi for further moving this process.

K-P rejects operation, warns of fallout
The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) government has strongly opposed the launch of a new military operation in the province, warning that such actions, including drone strikes, could worsen the already fragile law and order situation. The government called for a public-backed strategy to eliminate terrorism and restore peace, insisting that lasting stability cannot be achieved through the use of force alone. During a heated session of the K-P Assembly held on Thursday, members from both the government and opposition benches engaged in verbal clashes while debating the deteriorating security environment in the province, particularly in the tribal districts. Speaking during the debate, Provincial Minister for Housing Dr Amjad Ali highlighted the worsening situation in the merged districts, stating that the rising number of casualties in the region is deeply alarming. "In the past, those fighting against the Soviet Union in Afghanistan were called mujahideen. Now, they are labelled as extremists. It's time to question the decisions made by former leaderships who trained and sent them across the border," he said. He criticized the lack of effective border control and questioned the role of those responsible for securing the frontiers. "Afghanistan borders six countries, yet Pakistan alone suffers repeated cross-border attacks. This deserves serious reflection," he added. Dr Amjad stressed that peace can only be achieved through community consultation, not military operations. "The Action in Aid of Civil Power Ordinance is a major source of unrest. It must be repealed or amended," he said. Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) MPA Aurangzeb Khan also voiced concern over the suffering of the tribal population, saying they bore the brunt of the war on terror between 2006 and 2014. "The people of Bajaur to Orakzai have endured enough. After returning home, they were pushed into another crisis under the guise of the merger. This mockery must stop," he warned. He added that without peace in Afghanistan, Pakistan too will remain unstable. "There must be meaningful dialogue with the Afghan government," he urged, emphasizing that tribal communities are ready to support law enforcement in fighting terrorism. Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam's Aiman Jaleel demanded that the government share its roadmap for peace. "Instead of addressing public concerns, the Assembly has become a platform for political blame games," she said. Jaleel also condemned the humiliation of women lawmakers in the House and called for unity beyond party lines. Special Assistant to Chief Minister Sohaib Afridi condemned the treatment of PTI workers during recent crackdowns. "We are not afraid of jails. On August 14, people will take to the streets to demand real freedom. Our government stands firmly against operations and drone strikes," he declared. The opposition, meanwhile, demanded the formation of a parliamentary peace committee, accusing the provincial government of incompetence in handling the security crisis. The session concluded with no clear consensus as tensions between the two sides continued to escalate.

Govt warns PTI against August 14 rallies
The Punjab Government has issued a clear warning to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), cautioning the party against organising rallies or protests on Independence Day, August 14, and stating that any attempt to disrupt national celebrations will be dealt with firmly under the law. Punjab Minister for Information and Culture Azma Zahid Bokhari, addressing a public event in Lahore, said, "If anyone tries to create disruption on Independence Day, the law will take firm action, and all conspiracies will fail." She described PTI as a "chaos lobby" that cannot tolerate Pakistan's progress and national unity. Bokhari claimed that a certain group in Pakistan attempts to spread discord on every national occasion. "On August 14, no roads were blocked, nor were any people stoppedyet these individuals chose to stay home and stage symbolic arrests," she said, referring to PTI's previous protest tactics. She emphasized that the Punjab Government will celebrate Independence Day with full zeal, patriotism, and unity to revive a spirit of harmony among citizens. Commenting on former Prime Minister Imran Khan, Bokhari alleged that he has a history of politicizing institutions and levelling baseless accusations.

PTI alleges corruption in bulletproof car purchase
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has sharply criticised the Punjab government's decision to allocate Rs730 million for the purchase of bulletproof vehicles, calling it a symbol of extravagant spending amid worsening economic conditions for the general public. In a statement, Shayan Bashir, Head of PTI Punjab's Media Cell, condemned the move as "a blatant display of anti-people governance." He said the government's priorities are misaligned with the needs of the population, who are facing critical shortages of affordable flour, electricity, and medicine. Bashir highlighted that over 35 million people in Punjab live below the poverty line and a 15% tax on medicines has further restricted access to healthcare. He pointed to alarming maternal mortality rates — 165 deaths per 100,000 births — as well as rising costs in the agricultural sector, with farmers grappling with a 25% increase in fertiliser prices, higher water bills, and poor returns on wheat. "Unemployment has crossed 7.5%, yet the government continues to spend lavishly on itself instead of addressing the basic needs of the people," Bashir said, adding that many communities still lack clean drinking water and sufficient food. He also recalled a previous approval of Rs7.5 billion for luxury vehicle procurement, alleging a continued lack of transparency from the Punjab Finance Department. On July 7, Bashir submitted a formal request for records related to the purchase and usage of the vehicles. In its reply, the department denied responsibility and referred the matter to other government bodies.
