Anupam Kher Announces Satish Kaushik Scholarship For ‘Deserving Student'
Anupam Kher is widely regarded as one of the most talented actors and directors in the Indian film industry. In a career spanning over four decades, he has acted in more than 540 films and is a recipient of two National Film Awards and eight Filmfare Awards for his acting performances. Recently, he achieved a significant milestone as the actor was awarded the prestigious Raj Kapoor Award by the Maharashtra Government for his contribution to Indian cinema.
As a token of appreciation, the actor was presented with a trophy and a cash prize of Rs 10 Lakhs from the Government. Through this money, he has now decided to sponsor the education cost of a poor deserving candidate under the Satish Kaushik Scholarship programme at his acting school, Anupam Kher's Actor Prepares.

Taking to Instagram, the actor shared a video wherein he expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Maharashtra government for honouring him with the prestigious award. As the clip moves forward, Anupam then announces 'Satish Kaushik Scholarship', a programme aimed to help the poor deserving candidates studying at his acting institute with an amount of Rs 10 lakhs, which he received from the officials.
Furthermore, he also announced that a smiling statue of his late friend and actor-director Satish Kaushik will be installed at one of his schools as a tribute.
Sharing the clip, he wrote in the caption, 'SATISH KAUSHIK SCHOLARSHIP: The money I received from the Maharashtra Government for my Raj Kapoor Award, I am happy to announce and institute the Satish Kaushik Scholarship for a deserving poor candidate at my acting school, Actor Prepares. Also, a statue of the smiling Satish Kaushik will be installed in one of the studios at the Acting School! We do give scholarships from time to time to students but this is the First Time in 20Years it is named after an individual. BRILLIANT ACTOR and an AMAZING HUMAN BEING and my BEST FRIEND!! Jai Ho!"

Coolie Box Office Collection Day 2: Coolie, which is already leading all 2025 releases in India to be the biggest opener of the year, has now crossed the ₹ 100 crore milestone at the Indian box office. Released on Thursday, August 14, superstar Rajinikanth's movie is setting the bar for domestic box office performance this year.
