‘Real Housewives of Miami' star Stephanie Shojaee reveals her pricey guilty pleasure
There's a good chance that Stephanie Shojaee has you beat.
The 'Real Housewives of Miami' star admitted on Page Six's 'Virtual Reali-Tea' podcast earlier this week that she owns more than $1 million worth of Birkins.
French fashion house Hermès rolled out this luxury tote in 1984, named after late French-English actress Jane Birkin. The original prototype made for the style maven was sold earlier this month by Sotheby's for $10.1 million in Paris.
Handmade by artisans, each purse has a signature rectangular, streamlined shape, two shoulder handles and a lock closure. The quality is unparalleled, and one bag can last for generations.
Birkins are known as some of the rarest and most expensive handbags on the planet, with standard leather models starting at around $10,000.
Depending on the material, e.g., crocodile, they can really leave a dent in your wallet.
Shojaee says out of her 100 or so purses, she has a couple — including one studded with actual diamonds — that are worth a lot more. We found a jewel encrusted beauty on eBay used that's going for a whopping $350K if that gives you some idea.
'I just really feel that you should be able to work and spend your money on what you like,' said the 40-year-old who works alongside husband Masoud Shojaee running the Coral Gables-based real estate empire, Shoma Group.
Shojaee, who never buys second hand, was practical about the splurges, calling her treasure trove an investment.
'Why is it no problem to talk about Jay Leno's car collection [or] other people's art collection,' said the real estate developer. 'But a girl has 100-something Birkins, like, she's so shallow. Really?'
Let's hope her 'RHOM' castmates don't hope to borrow one of her prized possessions for a night out. Shojaee is very protective of her babies that she has referred to her 'emotional support dogs' on the show.
'I don't let anyone look at them, touch them, breathe on them,' she said.
You can also find her accessorizing with them all over the world on her Instagram feed.
In one picture Shojaee is standing on a beach on St. Barth's carrying a fabulously huge black Birkin.
'If they call you 'too much' tell them to go find less,' the unapologetic caption reads. 'It will probably suit them better anyway.'

5 top new movies to stream this week on Netflix, HBO Max, Hulu and more (July 29-Aug. 4)
This week offers plenty of new movie options across the best streaming services, from a post-apocalyptic zombie thriller to a romantic drama set at a storied English university. Whatever sort of movie you're in the mood for, there's likely a newcomer to suit your tastes. '28 Years Later' on PVOD platforms headlines the next seven days, but HBO Max subscribers will be eager to enjoy the blood-soaked thrills of 'Final Destination Bloodlines' while over on Netflix, get your tissues out, because 'My Oxford Year' looks like a tearjerker. Looking to watch something fresh? These are the top new movies landing across streaming services over the next few days. And if you want to binge-watch, here's a guide to all the best new TV shows this week. The old saying goes, 'Time heals all,' but in Danny Boyle's apocalyptic zombie-infested Britain, that's not the case. This long-awaited second sequel to '28 Days Later' takes place almost three decades after the Rage Virus turned the U.K. into a quarantine island cut off from the rest of the world, and things have not improved in the time since Cillian Murphy's Jim was wandering around a devastated London. If anything, the situation has only gotten worse. On a remote, well-fortified island just off the mainland, Jamie (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) lives with his son Spike (Alfie Williams) and ill wife Isla (Jodie Comer). Taking his son on a rite-of-passage trip to the zombie-plagued mainland, Jamie and Spike discover the infected have mutated to become even deader, and that there are additional threats to consider. Also starring Ralph Fiennes and Jack O'Connell, '28 Years Later' successfully recaptures the spirit and visual style of the 2002 original and, aside from a tonally confused ending, is an extremely compelling watch. Get instant access to breaking news, the hottest reviews, great deals and helpful tips. Plus, it features more than a few references to my beloved Newcastle Utd soccer team and is set in North East England (which happens to be my birthplace), which makes it an instant must-watch in my books. Buy or rent on Amazon from July 29 Mike Flanagan has developed a reputation as a horror master after directing movies like 'Oculus," "Gerald's Game" and 'Doctor Sleep,' alongside helming chilling Netflix shows 'The Haunting of Hill House' and 'Midnight Mass." However, he trades his usual spooky approach for something a little more heartwarming with 'The Life of Chuck.' This fantasy drama has been described as 'life-affirming' and has even been mooted as a potential awards contender in the upcoming season. Based on the novella of the same name by Stephen King, it marks the third time Flanagan has adapted one of the legendary author's works for the big screen, and stars Tom Hiddleston as the eponymous Charles 'Chuck' Krantz. The movie is told in reverse chronological order as we follow Chunk from his adulthood through to his younger years as he experiences all the ordinary things that make life truly extraordinary. The well-received movie also stars Chiwetel Ejiofor, Karen Gillan, Jacob Tremblay and Mark Hamill. Buy or rent on Amazon from July 29 'Final Destination Bloodlines' marks the return of the long-running horror franchise, and it's an excellent revival. I'd argue it ranks among the very best of 'Final Destination' movies ever, keeping the classic formula intact but with new twists that only add to the blood-soaking mayhem. Following the series' longest premonition scene to date, we flash forward more than 50 years and meet Stefani (Kaitlyn Santa Juana), a college student haunted by a grisly vision of a skytower collapsing in the 1960s. Soon enough, death begins stalking Stefani and her family, and the secret to survival might just be locked in her grandmother's past. The overly complicated death sequences have always been the main appeal of the 'Final Destination' franchise, and 'Bloodlines' packs some of the most darkly funny ones to date. And while it doesn't completely reinvent the wheel, it does take a few risks that all play off very well. It also marks the final on-screen appearance of franchise mainstay Tony Todd, who delivers a memorable last performance that might just have you shedding a tear or two. Watch on HBO Max from August 1 If you're looking for a gooey romantic comedy-drama in the vein of 'The Life List,' then Netflix has you covered this week with 'My Oxford Year.' Yes, the release timing is a little odd — a romance tale set in rainy England feels perfect for the fall — but still, I have no doubts this movie will prove popular with Netflix subscribers, even if critics might tear it to shreds. Based on the novel of the same name by Julia Whelan, it centers on Anna De La Vega (Sofia Carson), an American student who fulfills her lifelong dream of studying at England's prestigious (and pretentious) Oxford University. By all accounts, her life is going exactly to plan, but her carefully-considered plan is thrown into turmoil when she meets a very charming British boy (Corey Mylchreest) and sparks fly. Guaranteed to be full of sappy dialogue and overly dramatic musings about seizing the moment while you can, 'My Oxford Year' clearly knows its audience and plays to it. Watch on Netflix from August 1 Hulu's big addition this week is a historical action epic that tells the story of William Tell, a Swiss folk hero, who was an important player in the country's attempts to fight against Austrian invaders in the 14th century. Directed by Nick Hamm and starring Claes Bang in the titular role, this cinematic spin on the legend opens with Tell, a former soldier in the Crusades, living as a huntsman. When the Austrian Empire marches into his country, he refuses to bend the knee and instead becomes part of a revolution that seeks to push back against these foreign oppressors. Also starring Connor Swindells, Golshifteh Farahani, Rafe Spall, Jonathan Pryce and Ben Kingsley, on the surface 'William Tell' looks like it has all the ingredients to be a 'Braveheart' for a new generation. Unfortunately, its critical reception was anything but epic. With a lengthy 134-minute runtime, 'William Tell' might only be one for genre obsessives. Watch on Hulu from August 1

Budget-friendly spin on classic summer treat goes viral: ‘Road trip luxury'
A budget-friendly recipe is going viral for channeling an Italian delicacy with just two ingredients that can be found at most roadside rest stops: coffee and an ice-cream sandwich. 'It's July and you know what that means: It's gas station affogato season,' New York-based travel expert and television host Samantha Brown recently posted on social media. Advertisement An affogato, which means 'drowned' in English, is typically served with fresh espresso poured over vanilla ice cream. But Brown, host of the PBS show 'Places to Love,' was forced to improvise while on a recent road trip stateside. 'You're seeing everyone in Italy, Positano, the Amalfi Coast, but you're at a Gulf station off the [Massachusetts Turnpike],' she said. To make the experience 'fancy,' she grabbed a cup of black coffee and an ice-cream sandwich from the gas station. With her ingredients resting on top of an air pump, Brown dunks the frozen treat into the cup and takes a big bite. Advertisement 'Delicious,' the mom of two exclaims. Happy Birthday Le Creuset—To 100 Years Of Cooking And Style
The return of the original color but with a special 100th birthday sparkle: Flamme Dorée. 2025 marks a very special birthday for a brand that has become synonymous with good cooking and exceptional style. Le Creuset products are world-renowned for being colorful workhorses in the kitchen, and, with a history rooted in France, the brand also coincides with a history of culinary excellence. Gourmands know that no matter your cuisine of choice, incorporating French techniques usually means an added level of scholarship and attention to detail. It is not much a stretch, therefore, to believe a century-old French product also leads the way when it comes to must-have items for an ardent cook's kitchen. And with the recent accolade as one of Time Magazine's 100 Most Influential Companies of the year, 100 years in, a party is indeed in order. Say 'Le Creuset' First things first. Before thinking about the array of products or the extensive color palette, we have to set something straight: how to pronounce the name. Many of us who have studied French may think, bien sûr, c'est facile! But, of course, it is NOT easy for many, so the brand regularly shares a little tutorial on just how to do it. Likely a 1oo-year-old conundrum, they at least add a dash of humor while setting the record straight: Le Creuset signature cream, wide Dutch oven; with a small cream cocotte along the side. Whether you say it correctly or trip your way through it, the product has reached heirloom status, and is something regularly listed on wedding registries. People have been known to design their entire kitchens around a piece of Le Creuset cookware. Chef Gaby Dalkin of What's Gaby Cooking is such a big fan, she occasionally collaborates with the brand and cheerleads for it on her social media. She received her first Le Creuset as a wedding present in 2013. In 2024, the popular LA-based chef hosted two events that highlighted Le Creuset products, one with Secret Supper in Brooklyn and another as a 'Friendsgiving Dinner' held in Los Angeles for her many fans. At each soirée, Le Creuset ovens, pans, braisers and more were showcased on each table, at the bar, in nooks all over the gardens, and filled with bouquets of flowers, bites or butters. 'They are timeless,' said Dalkin, who received a braiser at her wedding. 'From cooking in it to serving in it to leaving it on the counter as an art piece, it's the perfect vessel.' Guests of the New York dinner got to take home a mini, round cocotte in Pêche, the signature color of the evening; and at the November 'Friendsgiving' dinner guests brought home a cocotte in nuit, a deep navy blue. More including a skillet, pizza pan, grill basket, grill pan, and the brand's signature Dutch oven. 'I've had my Creuset for seven years now and it still cooks like I just got it out of the box.'Although the company brings in new colors and retires others, it has ushered in upwards of 200 new shades since 1995 and maintains a few beloved signatures, including Flame or Volcanique (in France), the brand's trademark hue. To honor 100 years, Le Creuset produced a limited-edition version of the original color, called Flamme Dorée--which means Golden Flame--and has added an element of shimmer from various minerals that sparkle when the light hits the surface. They've also produced a 'crucible knob' in gold to further customize some of the products and pay homage to the brand's special birthday. The Anniversary celebrations have ramped up in 2025 with the brand serving as a collaborative partner at numerous culinary events across the country, including several dinners with Secret Supper---celebrating its 10th Anniversary---and with Cherry Bombe, the pre-eminent media company that highlights women in the food and beverage industry. Cherry Bombe has been working with Le Creuset specifically for its summer-long Tastemakers Tour events, which has featured many of the brands signature products, including pieces from the newest line, the Alpine Outdoor Collection, which launched in May. There's a black matte finish on top of each cast iron piece in the line meant to endure high heat from cooking over an open flame. 'My first ever live cooking demo was for a Le Creuset store in 2011. Today, I still use the cocottes, the signature skillet, or the pan, for everything from fruit crumbles to savory French toast or home fries. I love that you can bring them from stove to oven.'French culinary icon Chef Jacques Pepin is also celebrating a milestone this year; the multi-talented chef turns 90 in December. In addition to celebrations throughout 2025 for his birthday, he has joined a birthday parade of sorts with numerous chefs from around the world wishing Le Creuset a Happy 100th. He was recently featured in a video, created by the cookware brand, that shared one of his many Le Creuset memories, most notably about the collection of pots he and his wife Gloria began to collect when they first moved to New York in the late 50s. Today, some of those very pots have been handed down to his daughter, Claudine, who still works closely with her father on television shows and cooking videos, and is the founder of the Jacques Pepin Foundation.
