Waterworld announces closure after death of girl, 4
Medics and police swarmed the water park in Stoke-on-Trent at around 4.20pm on Monday, August 4.
The youngster was found in a "critical condition" and rushed to hospital, where she tragically later died.

Her family were now being supported by specially-trained officers from Staffordshire Police.
A Waterworld spokesperson said: 'It is with great sadness that we learned of this little girl's passing.
"All our thoughts are with her family and loved ones during these extremely difficult times.
"Waterworld is in shock and has decided to remain closed tomorrow out of respect for the family.
"Waterworld is working closely with the authorities at this sad time.'
Police were now looking to "establish the circumstances of the incident".
Detective Chief Inspector Lucy Maskew said: "Our thoughts are with the family at this terribly sad time.
"We are now making enquiries and looking to establish the circumstances of the incident.
"We would ask that members of the public avoid speculating in these early stages of the investigation and allow the family to grieve."
Anyone who witnessed the incident or information that could assist the investigation was asked to contact the force.

Bromley burglary: £500,000 worth of gold stolen from home
Police have launched an appeal after £500,000 worth of jewellery was stolen from a house in southeast London. The incident took place at a home in Bickley Road, Bromley, on 30 December last year. Footage showed three men entering the property through a forced bathroom window. The group, who entered the home at 5.40pm and left at 6.25pm, carried out the theft while the owners were home. The Metropolitan Police have now shared images of the stolen jewellery in a new appeal for information. No arrests have been made in connection with the burglary so far. Edinburgh knifeman stabbed victim outside party and 'left him for dead' in street
An Edinburgh thug who repeatedly stabbed a man who had been at a party was told by a judge he was "lucky" not to be facing a murder charge. Kyle Ferrier, 20, attacked Mark Wallis on North High Street, Musselburgh, on February 4 2024. The victim remains badly affected and could have been died, but for medical treatment. Ferrier admitted assaulting the man to his severe injury, permanent disfigurement and impairment as well as to the danger of his life. Lord Mulholland described photos of the victim following the attack as "graphic". He went on to state to Ferrier: "Be under no illusions, you carried a knife and used it. I have spent over 40 years in courts and you are a lucky man that you are not sitting in the dock facing a charge of murder. "Do not carry knives. The charge is too serious for you to be granted bail and you will be remanded in custody." Ferrier, of the Southhouse area of Edinburgh, is due to be sentenced later this month. Ferrier and the victim were known to each other. In August 2023, he was said to have received two "threatening" voicenotes on Snapchat. He believed they were from Mr Wallis, but he denied this. On the night of the attack, Mr Wallis had been at a family party at a hotel. He was standing in the street smoking when he heard a person shouting: "Someone is getting stabbed the night." Ferrier was nearby - the court was told he denied making the remark. He was on the opposite side of the road when Mr Wallis shouted his name and ran at him. Ferrier then initially punched the man before the pair started grappling. Prosecutor David Fisken then explained: "Ferrier's left hand could be seen striking repeatedly downwards to Mark Wallis hitting him on the head and body." The thug then fled leaving his blood-soaked victim for dead. A witness dialled 999 before Mr Wallis was rushed to hospital. He suffered a number of wounds and required surgery. Mr Fisken: "The injuries sustained were severe and will result in permanent scarring and loss of facial movement which may require further treatment in the future. "They were potentially life threatening due to the blood loss had medical attention not been sought." Ferrier meantime was found in the back garden of a nearby property. There was blood splattered on his clothes, hands and face. He told police: "I have put my hands up. I did it in self-defence. He f****ng went for me." Ferrier later added he had struck the victim "multiple times", but was apparently trying to protect himself. A blade described as a "craftsman's knife" was discovered in the car park of an auto repair shop in the town. Mark Stewart KC, defending, said Ferrier was "young for his age" and that the incident had been "random". The attacker accepted it was "foolish" to carry a blade.

Woman travels to Colorado after family killed in fiery crash in Grand County
Five members of a Kremmling family, including three young children, were killed earlier this week in a fiery crash in Grand County. The victims include 34-year-old Manuel Cabral Torres, his wife Andrea Banuelos Salazar, and their children — ages 2, 5, and 12. The crash happened Monday morning when a pickup truck crossed into oncoming traffic and collided head-on with the family's SUV, according to the Colorado State Patrol. The impact caused both vehicles to catch fire. All five occupants of the SUV died at the scene. The driver of the pickup was airlifted to a hospital with life-threatening injuries and remains in stable condition in the intensive care unit. The crash is still under investigation. Manuel Cabral Torres' mother, Maria Torres Reyes, is traveling from Mexico to Colorado to bid her family farewell. "My son, his wife, my grandchildren — it's all very painful," she said in Spanish. "I love them so much. I'm just so sad." Torres Reyes said she last saw her family in April. She frequently visited Colorado to help care for her grandchildren. In a statement, Colorado State Patrol Chief Matthew C. Packard urged drivers to remain vigilant behind the wheel and said in part: "Wrong-way and wrong-side-of-the-road crashes are frequently the results of impairment, inattentive driving, or excessive speed," Packard said. "You can expect strict enforcement of our traffic laws when you see a Colorado State Trooper. You will also receive a thorough investigation into these crashes." The Grand County Coroner's Office extended its condolences to the surviving family members, and the West Grand School District said support services will be available to students and staff affected by the tragedy.
