Richard Madeley suffers terrible fall - as he presents GMB with painful injury
Good Morning Britain host Richard Madeley continues to present the show with a wrist brace - as viewers continue to ask what happened to the ITV hosts hand
Good Morning Britain viewers have noticed Richard Madeley wearing a cast on his wrist this week - but what happened to the hosts hand?
On Monday June 9, Richard explained his painful injury to GMB co-host Susanna Reid. The star, who has hosted the show since 2017, revealed that he had recently suffered a painful injury. 'Richard, you better explain – that looks sore,' a concerned Susanna said.
Richard, who had just come back from a trip away to France unfortunately didn't have the best time there as he revealed he fell down a steep pavement while away on his trip.
Explaining the unfortunate events to his co-host, the 69-year-old told Susanna he had a double fracture of the wrist. "I was walking quite quickly down a steep pavement in France, actually, on Friday.
'The pavement was loose and it flipped up and it flipped me forward, and I thought, 'Am I gonna win or is gravity gonna win?' And gravity won, and I hit the ground hard. So yeah, I've got a double fracture and we'll see how it goes."
It seems like the injury was painful for the star, who continued: 'I'm not discussing the pain threshold. We don't think about pain.'
Changing the subject, Susanna continued: "Okay, we're just going to distract ourselves. It's good to have you back."
"It's nice to be back," Richard replied, as Susanna sent him well wishes.
As well as his hand injury, during today's show (Wednesday June 11) the star has been struggling to speak as he suffers a sore throat. The star was seen drinking water and honey while presenting, telling Susanna he hopes to be back on top form tomorrow.
It's been an eventful month on air for the star, who recently celebrated his 69th birthday live on the ITV show. Although Richard doesn't like to make a fuss, the GMB crew didn't let him celebrate in silence.
They started by playing a Happy Birthday song in the studio, as well as lighting it up with flashing lights at six in the morning. The screen behind the hosts also had the message "Happy Birthday Richard" written in big letters, with digital balloons moving up and down.
Fans couldn't believe the star's age, as Susanna said: "No one can believe your age. And now you are another year older, and you just seem to get younger and younger!"
"It's not that," Richard said. "I've been on TV almost every day since the late 1970s. If you look at yourself in the shaving mirror everyday, you can't see yourself getting older.
"But if you looked every three months, you'll notice it," he continued. "So I'm on everyday here, mostly. So of course I'm aging, obviously I am. But because I'm on all the time it's not as noticeable."

Emmerdale's Lisa Riley ‘learned a lot about grief' after Robin Windsor death
The 48-year-old, who plays Mandy Dingle on the ITV soap, lost her mother in July 2012, just months before she joined BBC dancing show Strictly Come Dancing, where she was paired up with Windsor, who she credits with helping her through her grief. Windsor died in February last year at the age of 44, and his cause of death was not given. Asked about how she coped with the two deaths on ITV's Good Morning Britain, Riley said: 'I've learned a lot about grief and how to deal with it, and how to be open and to literally ask for help, because it's okay. 'Sometimes people go really within, my brother's that person, we all deal with things differently, and I was pressing the bravado button going, 'I've got to go out and play Mandy Dingle every day, I've got to dress up as Mandy and be funny'. 'There were some days I didn't want to be funny, I'm lucky with the brilliant girls in my dressing room, where we lean on each other, and my work with Sue Ryder, I've realised that there is a helpline out there. 'The internet is brilliant, there are so many places you can go to, Sue Ryder being one of them for help.' Riley went on to say that the Emmerdale team were 'phenomenal' following their deaths, but said she wanted to continue working. The actress said: 'Me, being me, I didn't want to be at home in my bedroom, or at home thinking about it too much, I had to carry on with my day job. 'But the make-up girls, what people at home won't know when they're watching Emmerdale is I was having my make-up done three times because I couldn't get it together, I couldn't, day in, day out, and work were brilliant, like we know, we'll write you out, we'll give you time off should you need it. 'But I wanted to do my job and keep going, because I know Robin would have wanted that, that sparkle, he wanted to keep that spark alive, and I felt I had to do that for him.' She said that when she first met Windsor and they began preparing for the BBC dancing show, she told him she wanted no-one to know her mother had died. Riley added: 'I said, 'under no circumstances can anyone in the press, anyone, know that my mum has just died', because the thought of someone picking up the phone to vote for us as a sympathy vote would break my heart, it would break my mother's heart. 'And Robin was like, 'I'm with you', he understood that, because some people would have gone, 'oh woe is me'. 'We did it because we were Lisa and Robin, the original Will and Grace, and that's what people fell in love with, they fell in love with just us two.'

Lottie Moss puts on a very busty display in a skimpy pink bikini as she shares a playful dance on social media
Lottie Moss put on a very busty display in a skimpy pink bikini as she shared a playful dance to Instagram on Thursday. The former OnlyFans creator, 27, flaunted her assets as she was seen swinging her arms above her head while wearing a buckle bandeau two-piece. Keeping the attention on the ensemble, Lottie slicked her blonde tresses up into a twisted bun. To accessorise, she finished her look with a myriad silver necklaces and a pair of chunky silver earrings. As she finished her dance, the blonde personality laughed to herself after twirling around in the home clip. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new Showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. Lottie's clip comes after she revealed she thought she was dying after overdosing on Ozempic in Olivia Attwood 's upcoming series The Price of Perfection. The first series of the popular docu-series hit our screens in 2024 and fans will be happy to know that the second is due to return very soon. According to ITV, Olivia, 34 - who shot to fame on Love Island in 2016 - 'continues her search for how science and social media are redefining beauty as we all chase the perfect selfie'. In a first look clip, Olivia asks Lottie: 'How much weight did you lose on the Ozempic?' to which she replies: 'Within two weeks I'd lost like 6 or 7kg. It was so dramatic.' She adds: 'Coming off really quickly and you almost don't even notice it, because you're so sick and tired all the time.' Olivia points out: 'You're not meant to lose weight that quickly.' Lottie continues: 'This is the thing. That's why they rushed me to the hospital, in the E&R, I could feel something really weird happen as soon as I got on bed. 'I had the seizure. They were holding me down, it was terrifying.' Lottie's clip comes after she revealed she thought she was dying after overdosing on Ozempic in Olivia Attwood 's upcoming series The Price of Perfection The first series of the popular docu-series hit our screens in 2024 and fans will be happy to know that the second is due to return very soon A shocked Olivia asks her: 'Do you remember that?' Lottie confesses: 'I do remember it. I started to feel... I honestly felt like I was dying. 'It sounds really dramatic, but I've never had a seizure before. 'I was like "This so wasn't worth it... What am I doing to my body?" 'Why did I feel like I needed to do this? 'I remember when I had just come out of the hospital, I felt good because I was so slim and I get how that feeling can be so addictive now.' Olivia was keen to know if she'd ever do it again, to which Lottie says: 'I have thought about it a couple of times, I won't lie! 'I wish I could sit here and say no. I have definitely thought about it since. 'It's those moments where you wish "Oh God..." then you remember.' It comes after Lottie first spoke about the ordeal back in September last year. The model was rushed to hospital after she took high doses of Ozempic given to her by a friend who bought it under the counter from a doctor. The model was violently ill, suffering a seizure and severe dehydration after taking the drug when she weighed around 60kg - just 9stone. She said she would rather 'die' than use Ozempic again, which is meant to treat the obese or diabetics and has suffered global shortages. Her sister is supermodel Kate Moss, 50, who was poster girl for 'heroin chic' in the 1990s due to her slim frame and once famously declared, 'nothing tastes as good as skinny feels.' Lottie recalled having the seizure, which was caused by severe dehydration, and said her face and hands clenching up was one of the 'scariest' experiences she has ever endured. She said there were, 'small things I wish I'd known before taking it' and revealed her weight plummeted to around 53kg in a few weeks. After being seen by medical professionals, Lottie learned the dosage of Ozempic she was injecting into her leg should be prescribed to someone weighing at least 100 kilos - nearly double her size. Lottie explained: 'A few months ago, I was not feeling happy about my weight, I had a friend, and she could get it for me. 'It was below board, from a doctor, but it wasn't like you go into a doctor's office and he prescribes it for you, takes your blood pressure, and takes tests, which is what you need when you go on something like Ozempic. 'At the end of the day it is a medication, it is dangerous and really meant for weight loss of people of a very large size. 'When I was taking it, the amount that I was taking was meant for people who are 100 kilos and over and I'm in the 50s range. 'It's these small things I wish I'd known before taking it. But I took it, you inject it into your leg, and it was the worst decision I ever made.
