‘Fast & Furious 11' Racing to April 2027 Release

Gizmodo6 days ago
We now have a release window for Fast & Furious 11: April 2027.
Series lead and executive producer Vin Diesel revealed the target date during his apperance at FuelFest on Saturday, where he also revealed three things about the film. First, it's heading back to Los Angeles, the location of the original film, and focusing on the street racing and car culture that drove the early Fast movies. In the past, Diesel's indicated his desire to step away from the spy adventures that drove later installments, so that's not too surprising.
View this post on InstagramWhat is surprising, though, is the third bit of news: Fast XI will see the official return of Brian O'Connor, the series' initial co-lead played by the late Paul Walker. Brian hasn't appeared since the end of Furious 7, though the characters have brought him up on occasion. When Walker died mid-production on Furious 7, his brothers Caleb and Cody were stand-ins to complete the remainder of Brian's scenes, and Paul's face was digitally scanned in.
'That's what you're gonna get in the finale!' Diesel declared. While this has also been something he's teased at in the past, he didn't disclose how this would come about, such as recasting the role, bringing the other Walker brothers in again, or a digital copy of some kind. But he promised Brian and Dom would reunite again on screen, which further confirms Fast XI may be the last mainline entry before the series pivots to spinoffs.
Now that we know when Fast & Furious 11 is coming, it's just a matter of seeing what Diesel and director Louis Leterrier have planned for the series' conclusion.

Crowds fill Downtown Nashville for 'Let Freedom Sing' July 4th event with music, fireworks

Thousands of people braved temperatures in the 90s to flood the streets of Downtown Nashville in celebration of America's 249th birthday. The "Let Freedom Sing! Music City July 4th" event is produced by Music City Inc. and has provided fireworks and fun to the Middle Tennessee community for more than 40 years. The fireworks spectacular has regularly drawn more than 200,000 attendees with a record-breaking 355,000 in 2024. 'Welcome to Independence Day in Music City USA, where we let Freedom Sing,' Nashville Mayor Freddie O'Connell said. 'We're going to have a great show tonight!' The 2025 celebration featured an instrument petting zoo, food trucks and an array of interactive displays. In addition to the variety of activities offered to all ages, the event also featured a Sober Space. Unveiled at the 2024 New Year's Eve concert, the Sober Space offers a welcoming environment for individuals, families and allies of those in recovery from addiction and alcoholism. Prior to the fireworks, guests were able to enjoy a free concert from artists including award-winning guitarist, songwriter and bandleader Grace Bowers and The Hodge Podge and a headlining set from 14-time Grammy nominee Dierks Bentley. The fireworks show is set to start at 9:30 p.m. and plans call for it to feature eight pyrotechnicians firing close to 40,000 pounds of explosives. Accompanying the fireworks will be the Grammy Award-winning Nashville Symphony along with a special drone show presented by Crav'n Flavor. Viewing for the fireworks is set along the Cumberland River with an additional viewing on the Korean War Veterans Memorial Bridge. 'Everybody who's here, you have one year to learn an important word,' O'Connell said. 'The word is 'semiquincentennial' because next year is 250 years of America, and it'll be back bigger and better than ever here in Nashville.' In anticipation of next year's celebration, Music City Inc. has announced that Let Freedom Sing! 2026 will be a two-day event, with festivities on July 3 and 4. Additional information about Music City Inc.'s various events and the 2026 celebration can be found at This article originally appeared on Nashville Tennessean: Nashville celebrates 4th of July with 'Let Freedom Sing' celebration

General Hospital Spoilers Today: Who Is Suspected of Natalia's Death on July 2?

Loyalties are tested, secrets surface, and everyone is wondering just how far Sonny Corinthos will go. After all, Port Charles is reeling from a night of fire, death, and emotional reckoning. Here's a recap and all the spoilers for the July 2 episode. Emma enjoys time with her dog, Outback, when Gio confronts her, accusing the pup of stealing his shoes. She suggests the real issue might be Gio's unresolved feelings about his parents. Though he admits he's struggling, he's not ready to open up. Gio shocks Emma by revealing that he's dropping out of PCU and forfeiting his first-chair violin scholarship. Emma urges him to reconsider. She eventually convinces him to hold off on quitting and instead focus on a new passion—like helping her expose Dalton's illegal animal testing. At Charlie's, Joss vents to Vaughn about how Sonny's legacy of violence keeps putting her loved ones in danger. Eventually, she reveals that the real reason she joined the WSB is her plan to rise through the ranks and take Sonny down. Sidwell claims that all evidence from the fire at Charlie's points to Selina and her associates. Selina realizes she's been set up and insists Sonny would believe her. Sidwell warns that he won't give her a chance to explain and forces her to leave town until he eliminates Sonny. At the hospital, Kristina rests while Alexis urges her to stay overnight. They reflect on Marco saving her life, and Alexis admits she would've killed Sonny herself if Kristina hadn't made it. Molly and Kristina bond as Molly praises how she handled Alexis during the confrontation with Sonny. Marco is devastated over Natalia's death and confides in Lucas. Anna and Chase fill him in on the circumstances, explaining that Natalia may have died from an overdose—though they're unsure if it was accidental or intentional.
