NBC Sports' 2025 Notre Dame football schedule headlined by matchups vs. Texas A&M, Boise State
Following a historic season that saw the Fighting Irish make the College Football Playoff National Championship, Notre Dame football is returning to NBC Sports for an unprecedented 35th season, with matchups against Texas A&M, Boise State and rival USC headlining the stacked slate.
Notre Dame will also face Purdue, Navy, NC State and Syracuse, with the matchup against the Wolfpack being streamed exclusively on Peacock.
The Fighting Irish will be led by star running back Jeremiyah Love, who is returning to Notre Dame after rushing for 1,125 yards and 17 touchdowns last season. Wisconsin transfer wide receiver Will Pauling hopes to give the team a spark on offense while cornerback Leonard Moore returns after earning Freshman All-American honors a year ago. Head coach Marcus Freeman, who is 33-10 in four seasons at Notre Dame, continues to lead his squad closer to a coveted national championship.
The home slate opens against SEC opponent Texas A&M, who Notre Dame defeated a year ago at College Station. The Aggies make the trip to South Bend for the first time since 2000, with the Fighting Irish leading the all-time series at 4-2.
Notre Dame's matchup against Boise State will be the first-ever meeting between the two programs, with both coming off College Football Playoff runs last season.
Historic rivals return to South Bend in back-to-back weeks as USC and Navy will face the Fighting Irish in a pair of primetime tilts. Notre Dame defeated both rivals last season, and they lead the all-time series against USC with a 52-38-5 record and Navy with a 83-13-1 mark.
Games against Purdue, NC State and Syracuse round out the schedule on NBC and Peacock, as the surging Orange will look to test the Fighting Irish.

There's A Lot to Like About Cadillac's Chances to Win 24 Hours of Le Mans
After its four teams advanced to Hyperpole, Cadillac locked up the front row in qualifying for the 24 Hours of Le Mans. There's only one goal left for the American manufacturer. Can Cadillac win the 93rd running of the world's most famous sports car race? The odds look better than any of the first two years that Cadillac V-Series.R teams have raced at Le Mans with their LMDh hybrids against the dominant LMH hybrids of Ferrari and Toyota. This year, a Cadillac was either first or second in the first three practices and in the qualifying sessions. The key is avoiding major errors, said Gary Nelson, the team manager for the No. 311 V-Series.R of Action Express Racing that qualified eighth. 'The last two years, the big thing for us was making mistakes,' said Nelson. 'We're always trying to not repeat our mistakes and hopefully we don't come up with some new ones. Then we'll see where the cards fall.' The British Jota team and its pole-winning No. 12 driven by Alex Lynn and the runner-up No. 38 of Earl Bamber contested the first three rounds of the World Endurance Championship as newcomers to Cadillac, having replaced Chip Ganassi Racing as the factory representative for the GM brand. Entering the Test Day, Jota relied on the massive compilation of digital records from Action Express's previous two trips to Le Mans. Last year, Jota won at Spa with its Porsche 963, the only privateer team to have won a Hypercar race in the WEC. With seventh on the grid its best showing, the Ferrari crews of AF Corse, winners of the first three WEC rounds and the last two Le Mans 24-hours, appeared to be focused on race preparation. The new Balance of Performance (BoP) has dictated compensating for a loss of top speed. According to drivers, the search for lap times has played havoc with the 499P's race set-up. But, throwing down a gauntlet, the Ferraris were first and second in the final night practice. Toyota Gazoo Racing also appeared to be focused on consistent race pace in place of qualifying. After the No. 7 GR010 Hybrid surprisingly missed the Top 15 in the first round, the No. 8 managed only 10th in the final round. Qualifying lasts for just one flying lap on low fuel and fresh Michelins. The grueling race is another matter. 'The hard work really starts (once qualifying ends),' said Will Stevens, co-driver in the No. 12 Cadillac. 'It's a long road ahead but after qualifying we're pretty confident.' If the new BoP has indeed brought the LMH cars of Ferrari and Toyota back to the field, it means Cadillac, including the Wayne Taylor Racing entry that starts 14th, will have plenty of competition from the fellow LMDh-based cars of Alpine, BMW and Porsche. Porsche Penske Motorsport will be in its third season of a three-car entry. But it has not been Penske perfect with the No. 6 Porsche 963 being banished to the back of the field for being underweight in qualifying. Before Mathieu Jaminet qualified his No. 5 Porsche third, a wheel came off on course. "We've had a busy and quite difficult few days, but qualifying has shown once again: When it comes down to it, our team is fully there," said Jonathan Diuguid, managing director of Porsche Penske. The No. 4 Porsche, where Felipe Nasr and Nick Tandy will try to add a Le Mans victory to wins in the Rolex 24 at Daytona and Sebring 12-Hour, starts fifth. Laurens Vanthoor, starting 21st in the No. 6, will also try to complete endurance racing's triple after co-driving with Nasr and Tandy in Daytona and Sebring. The BMW M Team WRT (fourth and sixth on the grid), and the Alpine Endurance Team (ninth and 12th) each gave Ferrari a run in the previous round at Spa and can be expected to challenge in the 24-hour, where fuel mileage, pit strategy and tire wear will be significant factors as well as track position and driving. Only the new Aston Martin Valkyrie and Peugeot's still struggling 9X8 are considered such long shots in a crowded field that they are out of the running.

These players would rather start to see it lay over. When they top it, it stands straight up and the ball goes right to the bottom. It's like they're cutting it with a vacuum cleaner – it cuts it, then stays straight up.' Begay III on the rain at the end of the round: 'Things drastically change. You're trying to focus on keeping your glove dry, keeping your grips dry. You can see the caddies trying to keep the ball dry as much as possible before the players hit it because when that ball does get wet, the way the drivers are designed, it will skid off that face a little and go out to the right.' McGinley on the impact rain could have on the third round: 'It'll make it easier, make the fairways wider because the ball will hit now and stop. It won't be bouncing off into the rough the way it did, not as much anyway…The greens will be softer. Because of the slopes on them and the speed of them, you might see a lot of balls spinning away from the flags more and then maybe off the greens so the players are going to have counteract that…But, wet golf is not going to be nice.' Chamblee: 'This rain will take so much of the bite out of (the course). Scoring average has been around 75 the last couple of days. It wouldn't surprise me tomorrow if they get around 72 or something like that, and it wouldn't surprise me if someone came out tomorrow and shot 65 or 64…Everybody who makes the cut is going to be within ten shots of the lead. So, when you talk about a wide open U.S. Open, you couldn't get any more wide open than this going into the weekend. The complexity of this in the last hour changed 180 degrees.' ON SCOTTIE SCHEFFLER (+4, T-23) Notah Begay III on Scheffler's swing early in the second round: 'It looks a bit more awkward than normal. Which tells me that he's just trying to keep the train on the tracks through impact and it's just not working in his favor right now.' Begay III on the 8th hole: 'I think he has found something here in the last few holes. The last few swings have been great.' Hicks: 'Just seven of 18 greens in regulation hit today. That's not a Scheffler-like line.' Brad Faxon on Scheffler on the range following his second round: 'I've never seen him this animated.' ON J.J. SPAUN (-2, 2nd) Faxon on Spaun and his coach's mindset this week: 'They're using this thought process this week, 'Are we going to respond or are we going to react?' And react is not what you want to do. You want to respond. It sounds subtle in words, but it's huge in the way you think about your shots. Everybody is getting bad lies, bad situations, and reacting to them. He's just trying to respond to them.' Kaufman on Spaun's second round: 'That's what he did yesterday: his putting and his short game led him to a bogey-free 66 and today it's been a little bit of the opposite. His ball-striking has been so solid – a lot like what we typically see with J.J. and the putter has let him down at times a little bit.' Hicks on Spaun's mindset: 'Spaun admitted when he used to see his name up on leaderboards, especially in big tournaments, he used to get a little scared. He said, 'I used to be scared to have the ball,' kind of alluding to a basketball reference but his confidence level has changed considerably.' ON BROOKS KOEPKA (+2, T-8th) Begay III on criticism Koepka received from coach Pete Cowen: 'He said that he wants to hear the truth and he doesn't want to be surround by 'yes' men. And when you get the truth and sometimes it hurts, it allows an athlete to focus on the things they need to focus on in order to improve. In a nutshell, I think he's found a nice groove and he's right in the middle of this.' ON RORY MCILROY (+6, T-45th) Sands on McIlroy's birdie on the 18th hole to finish at +6 and make the cut: 'It has been a rocky road the first couple of days, but that was a professional effort…a professional never wants to go home for the weekend.' Kisner after McIlroy threw his club on the 12th hole: 'I don't know what was worse – the club toss or the shot.' ON ADAM SCOTT (E, T-4th) McGinley: 'The golf swing hasn't changed, but this is kind of out of left field. All of his numbers are bad this year, he hasn't had a top ten…So for him to show up and drive it as well as he has, hit his irons as well as he has, and play with this kind of form, I mean he looks like a guy who can go out there, put some numbers up on the board and add to his major championship total, and nobody would have really talked about him coming into this week.'
