During Saturday's live semi-final of Britain's Got Talent, judge Alesha Dixon took a moment to compliment host Ant McPartlin on his stylish ensemble.
As the episode unfolded, Ant, 49, alongside presenting partner Declan Donnelly approached the judging panel consisting of Alesha, 46, Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, and Bruno Tonioli for a chat.
However, the conversation was briefly interrupted as Alesha pointed out Ant's sharp suit, leading the host to share that it was actually from his days hosting Pop Idol, between 2001 and 2003.
Enthusiastic about the revelation, Alesha exclaimed: "We were just admiring your suit by the way, saying how dapper you look!" which prompted Ant to disclose: "Simon, this was a suit from Pop Idol series two! I mean it had to be let out a little bit..."

Alesha responded with delight: "Oh my God! I love that! You see, there you go!", reports Belfast Live.

Pop Idol, a music competition television show formulated by Simon Fuller, graced ITV screens during its 2001 to 2003 run, searching for the UK's top emerging pop talent through public votes.
Ant and Dec presented the show while Simon, 65, featured as one of the judges.
Viewers also took to Twitter, now X, to express their admiration for Ant's suit, as comments poured in such as: "Ant in that velvet suit #BritainsGotTalent!" and another user commenting: "Ant. Mcpartlin. In. VELVET. #bgt."
Tonight's lineup showcases talents including Albert Amores, Bao Cuong, Electric Umbrella, Harry and Lewis, Jasmine Rice, Mickey Callisto, Ping Pong Pang, and RuMac.

In a significant shake-up, Britain's Got Talent has trimmed its broadcasting schedule, now captivating audiences exclusively on Saturday nights, marking a departure from its previous offering of weekend double bills.
Taking a different approach this year, Britain's Got Talent will broadcast its live semi-finals on a weekly basis, stepping away from the traditional consecutive night shows during May.
ITV's entertainment commissioning editor Lily Wilson explained the rationale behind the revised timetable: "We want to hit that family audience. Starting in February means we can build excitement over a longer period while making the live semi-finals a much bigger event."

London's Eventim Apollo played host to the first live semi-final which aired on Saturday, April 26, with all eyes set on the much-anticipated grand live final, set to take place on Saturday, May 31.

The actor said this week that the apparent situation following the death of their father is "sad". Suzanne Shaw, now 43 - who played Eve Jenson on the ITV soap opera - lost her late father Vincent Crowshaw, who was 62, back in 2012. Vincent died just months after being diagnosed with a brain tumour earlier that same year. Now more than a decade on, Suzanne - who rose to fame as part of the group Hear'Say - has claimed that she inherited "nothing" from him following his death. She's suggested that most of the inheritance went to her step-mother. Suzanne mentioned her late father whilst a guest on 5 's Vanessa yesterday afternoon. It came during a discussion, led by host Vanessa Feltz, 63, over whether children should receive the same inheritance in the case of a parent dying. During the segment, Vanessa told her guests that she knows people who were "passed over" in a will. She said that it had been because they were perceived to be financially "set up for life," whereas their siblings were not. Speaking about those who didn't get the inheritance, Vanessa said: "It's not that they really needed the money. It was much more a feeling of being slapped in the face. A feeling of being sort of dealt a blow from beyond the grave." Suzanne, who previously said that "explanation is key" and encouraged "communication before it all happens," responded to host Vanessa by saying: "I went through it myself". She added: "My dad passed away, very sadly." She then shared that her father had separated from her mother, Janet Kish, and remarried prior to his death. Suzanne said: "[A] divided family. He remarried." Suzanne continued: "My brother got some inheritance but it was only his business that he inherited. And then my stepmum got all of it and it was meant to be split equally. She's now remarried. Everything's gone to her side of the family. I got nothing out of any of it. So I know what it feels like." Vanessa then asked Suzanne to explain how it feels. She responded: "It's like a slap in the face. It's like you weren't valued in that ... in that set-up. So, yeah, I know what it feels like. It's hard." Seemingly suggesting that she's now estranged from some of her family, Suzanne added: "But what it causes is then divide, and y'know we don't no longer speak to those people who were a big part of our lives and that's sad. That's sad in itself. So I think communication is a must in this situation." Vanessa airs weekdays on 5 from 12.30pm. Will Young is tracing his family history on Who Do You Think You Are? tonight and gets a shock when he finds a connection to one of medieval history's biggest villains A new episode of Who Do You Think you Are? is airing tonight (Tuesday 3 June) on - BBC 1 with Pop Idol star Will Young delving back into his family history. So far this series, we've seen First Dates star Fred Sirieix, comedian Aisling Bea and Strictly's Layton Williams uncover lost connections and unfamiliar histories as they trace their family tree. Fans can expect to go on an emotional journey with the singer as he starts by researching his paternal granddad, who he never had the chance to meet. Elsewhere, fans can dig their teeth into a sweet treat as Bake Off: The Professionals continues, and The One Show host Matt Baker kicks off his new series... Pick of the Day Who Do You Think You Are?, BBC1, 9pm One day, Will Young 's descendants will boast that they are related to the first ever winner of Pop Idol. But Will has no idea what he's going to find on his own journey into his family's past, apart from his fanciful hope that he is secretly a Viking! Will starts by researching his paternal granddad, Digby, who he never had the chance to meet. Tonight, exacting judge Benoit asks the teams to create a batch of these gorgeous treats, with 24 immaculate examples that look and taste identical. They must also serve up 24 uniform fruit tarts, but Cherish wants the pros to completely reinvent the classic dessert, so they won't look anything like the jam tarts you made at school. Just to crank up the pressure, this is a particular favourite for Cherish, so she'll be even more critical than usual (we didn't think it was possible). Tonight's showpiece has a Japanese zen garden theme, and the judges are looking for roll cakes that will feed 24 people. Standard Swiss rolls aren't welcome here, so expect complex creations with flavours that burst through the screen. It triggered a wave of new allegations including sex trafficking, which have left the hip hop world reeling. This documentary charts the performer's rise and fall, and talks to people who have spent time with him over the years, including his former bodyguard. They reflect on why it took so long for accusations to surface. EastEnders, BBC1, 7.30pm Peter and Lauren's relationship is hanging by a thread. Peter takes Jimmy to a hospital appointment on his own after Lauren stayed out all evening. Meanwhile, Lauren and Honey have a candid chat. Emmerdale in schedule shake up as soap WON'T air tonight and is replaced – despite tense murder plot
EMMERDALE won't be airing in its typical spot on ITV tonight, despite fans being desperate for answers. The latest episode of the soap favourite ended on a cliffhanger, with Ruby Miligan's fate being left up in the air. 5 5 5 However, because of ITV's coverage of the UEFA Women's Nations League – which starts at 5.30pm – the latest episode has been pushed back. But all is not completely lost, as fans will be treated to a special hour-long episode tomorrow (Wednesday) to make up for the lost episode. Emmerdale will return to screens at 7pm tomorrow, where it will pick up after Ruby's murderous confession. Monday night's episode saw Ruby confess to the police that she killed her abusive father, Anthony Fox. Anthony – who had molested her as a child and even fathered her daughter, Steph – was killed in January by Ruby, although initially Aaron Dingle was believed to have done it. However, while Aaron did brutally batter him, Ruby was the one who finished him off – leaving Aaron to recruit John Sugden to help him dispose of the body. But she was unaware that he buried his body in the woods, and after the villages lake was dredges, and a body was discovered, Ruby believed her days were numbered, so gave herself up. However, fans are aware the body in the lake is actually Nate Robinson, who hasn't been seen in the Dales since September last year. Nate's sudden and swift exit, supposedly for Shetland, never quite sat right with fans, and in February a daring stunt scene saw the truth come to light. When a hen party crashed into the icy lake, the body was spotted for the first time, with only a bracelet from Nate's daughter Frankie revealing his identity. Horrifying moment Emmerdale legend has nasty fall - leaving him struggling alone at home He was last seen speaking to John Sugden, after being falsely accused of sleeping with Cain Dingle's wife, Moira. John has becoming one of the show's most acctive killers – also offing his ex-boyfriend on his wedding day to Aaron. Ruby, Aaron and John had been keeping quiet about the cover-up, with Caleb and Chastity Dingle later being brought into the fold as well. But with her confession to the police, what's in store for everyone now? Especially as the body isn't even who they think it is? 5 5
