Article content 'This collaboration merges art and beauty as tools for visibility, empowerment and education,' says Cheekbone Beauty founder and Anishinaabe entrepreneur Jennifer Harper. 'It invites our community to engage with Indigenous culture in a way that's intentional, meaningful and visually impactful. Together, we're amplifying Indigenous voices through beauty, reframing narratives, and reminding the world that Indigenous beauty is a beautiful reflection of identity and culture.' Article content A cool — and collectible — aspect of this limited-time release is the fact that the makeup packaging sleeve, which features Monkman's iconic artwork Giants Walked the Earth, can be unfolded and framed as a piece of art. Article content Monkman, who was named an Officer of the Order of Canada in 2023, is an internationally renowned artist whose work has been displayed at the Art Gallery of Ontario, the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City and many others. Article content 'Monkman's art challenges colonial narratives and reclaims Indigenous identity through bold, unapologetic storytelling,' says Harper.
