22-year-old dies in Wessington accident
A driver died on Wednesday after she rolled in a ditch west of Wessington, South Dakota.
Kila Louann Good, 22, of Highmore, died Wednesday morning in a single vehicle crash on SD Highway 14, one mile west of Wessington, according to the South Dakota Highway Patrol.
Preliminary crash information indicates Good, who was driving a 2005 Ford Excursion, was traveling eastbound at around 9:30 a.m. April 2 on US Highway 14 near mile marker 314 when the vehicle left the roadway and entered the north ditch where it rolled, reports state. Good died at the scene, the Highway Patrol states.
Road conditions may have been a contributing factor in the crash, the report states. The South Dakota Highway Patrol states the driver was not wearing a seatbelt.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating the crash. All information released so far is only preliminary.
The Highway Patrol is an agency of the South Dakota Department of Public Safety.

At around 1:06 a.m. Saturday, a 2023 Kawasaki utility terrain vehicle, or UTV, was traveling east on Neal Shoals Road, and overturned when it attempted to turn left onto Happy Valley Road in Union County, a highway patrol news release said. SANDUSKY TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WJW) – The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a two-vehicle crash in Sandusky County that sent one driver to the hospital with serious injuries on Saturday afternoon. One dead in motorcycle crash in Spartanburg Co.
SPARTANBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) – The Spartanburg County Coroner's Office reported that one person is dead following a motorcycle crash in Inman. Authorities said they were called out to the intersection of SC Highway 11 and Cannon Ford Road regarding a motorcycle vs vehicle collision. The South Carolina Highway Patrol stated that at approximately 1:54 p.m., a 2007 Dodge Ram and 2008 Yamaha motorcycle were both traveling north on SC Highway 11. The Dodge Ram attempted to turn left onto Cannon Ford Road, and struck the motorcycle. The Ram then ran off the road and struck a ditch. The driver of the Ram was reported to be uninjured, while the driver of the motorcycle died at the scene. The coroner's office identified the deceased as 48-year-old Sidney Brian Conard of Woodruff.
