Magic Moments maker ties up with Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan to launch premium tequila

Radico Khaitan, the maker of 'Magic Moments' vodka, will invest up to $4.56 million and team up with Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan and Zerodha co-founder Nikhil Kamath to launch a premium tequila brand, marking its foray into the category. The Indian liquor maker, known for premium offerings such as Rampur Indian Single Malt and Jaisalmer Indian Craft Gin, will roll out the brand D'YAVOL Añejo — a premium spirit made from agave and aged about two years in wine casks. D'YAVOL, a luxury brand founded in 2022 by Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan Khan, along with Leti Blagoeva and Bunty Singh, is headquartered in Amsterdam and offers vodka, blended malt Scotch whisky and premium streetwear. D'YAVOL Añejo is set to launch by December and depending on state excise duty, will be priced between 20,000 rupees ($228.21) and 30,000 rupees, Radico Khaitan Managing Director Abhishek Khaitan told Reuters on Tuesday. The launch comes as affluent Indians increasingly splurge on everything from luxury dining to premium alcohol, housing and cars. Alcohol sales in the country, according to data from analytics firm Crisil, are projected, to grow as much as 10% to $61.35 billion in fiscal 2026. Tequila is one of the fastest growing segments globally and India is catching on very fast. The market size in the country is about 300,000 cases, out of which 15% is the Añejo (Spanish word meaning 'aged') category, Khaitan said. Shah Rukh Khan set to host party for fans in Dubai this week 'We believe that in the next five years, tequila can reach a volume of about a million cases in India plus global market, so I think it was a great opportunity,' he said. Under the partnership, Radico Khaitan and Shah Rukh Khan's family will each hold a 47.5% stake in the venture, while Kamath will own 5%. The deal also underscores the fierce competition in mass and premium liquor segments. Just three weeks ago, peer Tilaknagar Industries bought the 'Imperial Blue' whisky brand from Pernod Ricard for $486 million.

All the details on Georgina Rodríguez's multi-million dollar diamond engagement ring from Cristiano Ronaldo

Georgina Rodríguez has revealed her engagement to Cristiano Ronaldo, showcasing a spectacular 25–30 carat oval-cut diamond ring on Instagram. Captioning the photo, 'Yes, I do. In this and in all my lives,' the model confirmed the couple's next step after eight years together. The ring features a classic three-stone setting, with two smaller oval side stones flanking the centre diamond. The mounting appears to be platinum or 18-karat white gold, enhancing the stone's whiteness, while four double-claw prongs secure the centre. Jewellery experts estimate the ring's value between $1.5 million and $5 million, depending on its colour and clarity. One expert noted, that if the stone is DEF colour and VS quality, it would be valued at $2–$2.5 million, while VVS or flawless quality could raise its value to $4–$5 million. The style draws comparisons to Lauren Sánchez's 30-carat cushion-cut ring worth an estimated $2.5 million. Although the jeweller behind Rodríguez's ring has not been confirmed, she is a Chopard ambassador. The couple, who went public in 2017, share five children, and Rodríguez has built a notable fashion career, attending events like the Met Gala and fronting campaigns for Gucci, Prada, Guess, and Chanel.

Fawad's 'Abir Gulaal' to release worldwide except India

After months of buzz, shifting release dates, and political storm clouds, Fawad Khan's latest Bollywood film 'Abir Gulaal' is finally set to hit the screens worldwide, but not in India because of a ban on Pakistani artists. As per Biz Asia, the film will release worldwide on August 29, with its big premiere set overseas but not in India. According to another Indian media report, the movie will release in theatres in over 75 countries, including the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. Directed by Aarti S Bagdi, known for Chalti Rahe Zindagi, Abir Gulaal is expected to be a cross-cultural film that highlights the chemistry between Fawad and Vaani. The film is produced by Indian Stories, A Richer Lens, and Aarjay Pictures. It is co-produced by Vivek B Agarwal, Avantika Hari, and Rakesh Sippy. Playing the role of a UK-based chef, Fawad appears opposite Bollywood actor Vaani Kapoor. Abir Gulaal will be an addition to the romantic comedy genre. It will mark Fawad's return to Bollywood after nine years. Lisa Hayden, Ridhi Dogra, Parmeet Sethi and veteran Farida Jalal are also part of the cast. Abir Gulaal was originally slated to release on May 9. However, the film remains banned in India. The ban on Pakistani actors was implemented by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) following the Palagham attack in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) in April. Many trade organisations, including All Indian Cine Workers Association (AICWA) and the Federation of Western lndia Cine Employees (FWICE), also pressed for a ban on Pakistani artists in the Indian film industry. Hence, the release of Sardaar JI 3 which starred Pakistani actor Hania Aamir and Abir Gulaal that cast Fawad in lead role were both halted. The film had generated buzz among fans, particularly due to Fawad's return to the Bollywood scene. Fawad made his Bollywood debut in 2014 with Khoobsurat, starring opposite Sonam Kapoor. He went on to appear in Dharma Productions's Kapoor & Sons and Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, which was his last Indian project before the ban on Pakistani artists in 2016.
