Salman Khan's trusted bodyguard and longtime companion, Shera, lost his father Sunder Singh Jolly on August 7 after a battle with cancer. He was 88. The final rites were conducted at Oshiwara Crematorium, Jogeshwari West, on Wednesday evening. Later in the day, Salman Khan arrived at Shera's residence to offer his condolences, and the emotional visuals of the two hugging have touched the hearts of fans across the country.
In the viral videos circulating on social media, Salman can be seen embracing a grief-stricken Shera as he offers comfort and support. The bond between the superstar and his loyal bodyguard goes back decades, and their camaraderie is often praised by fans. Several users flooded the comment section with condolence messages, heart emojis, and words of admiration for Salman's genuine gesture.

Shera – real name Gurmeet Singh Jolly – had earlier taken to his social media handles to share the tragic news. 'My father Shri Sunder Singh Jolly has left for heavenly abode today," he wrote in a brief, heartfelt note. Just a few months ago, Shera had shared a photo with his father on his 88th birthday, calling him 'his hero" and 'his inspiration."
The funeral procession began from Shera's residence at The Park Luxury Residences in Oshiwara. Known for his towering presence beside Salman at almost every event — be it Eid celebrations, public appearances, or film promotions — Shera is one of the most iconic celebrity bodyguards in India.
Shera has been with Salman Khan since the early 1990s, following a successful career in bodybuilding. Over the years, he has also handled security for top Bollywood celebrities like Katrina Kaif, Hrithik Roshan, and Kareena Kapoor Khan, and even international stars like Mike Tyson and Justin Bieber through his firm, Tiger Security.
Meanwhile, Salman Khan is currently working on Battle of Galwan, where he will portray Colonel B. Santosh Babu. Directed by Apoorva Lakhia, the film is expected to go on floors in Ladakh this month.
