Pjanic tells Juventus to sign Newcastle star this summer
Ex-Juventus midfielder Pjanic tells his former club to sign Italy international Tonali this summer.
The Bianconeri have been looking for midfield reinforcement for weeks, regardless of the latest issues with Douglas Luiz.
Tonali was linked with a move to Juventus before the end of the season, when Cristiano Giuntoli was still the Bianconeri director.

Now, Damien Comolli has taken over at the Allianz Stadium, but Pjanic believes Juventus should still go for Tonali.
'I would sign Tonali; someone like him is worth the effort. He's Italian and has great potential,' Pjanic told Gazzetta.
'He won with Milan and has continued to improve in England. He's humble, strong, and with a touch of quality: what Juventus need.'
Juventus have made several key changes within the club, hiring François Modesto as the new technical director and promoting Giorgio Chiellini to a more prominent role.

'I always have Juventus in my heart, and I'm happy to see Giorgio at the club – someone who brings stability and a sense of belonging, appreciated by players and fans alike,' said Pjanic, a former Juventus teammate of Chiellini.
'Chiello loves Juventus. He knows the history and the locker room; he will be incredibly valuable.'
Pjanic played 135 games under Massimiliano Allegri at Juventus, more than under any other coach. The Italian has now been appointed as the new Milan boss, so what does Pjanic expect from the Rossoneri?
'I often talk to Max, we had wonderful years together at Juventus,' the ex-Juventus and Roma midfielder replied.
'He's a friend and it's great to see him in Milan. He and Conte are the best in Italy, the most successful. Few handle the pressure like Allegri. Milan are aiming to finish in the top four, but when you have somebody like Max on the bench, it's normal to expect even more.'

Rugby club in Bradford submits plans for 'high grade' clubhouse
A RUGBY club plans to create a 'high grade' clubhouse that will include changing rooms and a canteen on its grounds. Wibsey Rugby Club has submitted a planning application to install a large portable cabin on the sports field opposite to Wibsey Primary School. The 360 square metre facility will include a changing room with over 150 lockers, men's and women's changing rooms, a shower room, multi faith room, canteen with 80 seats and a food preparation area. The application acknowledges that work on the site has already started – and began in late May. Work on the clubhouse building began in May - according to the application (Image: T&A) To mitigate the loss of green space on the site, the club plans a number of biodiversity measures on the rest of the site. These measures will include 20 square metres of wildflower planting, a 10-metre row of 'pollinator friendly' shrubs, 10 trees planted around the site, two 'insect hotels' and four bird boxes. The application says: 'Despite the small area of habitat lost (360 m²), the proposed biodiversity enhancements across the wider seven-acre site (wildflower planting, native tree and shrub establishment, and faunal features) will result in a significant net biodiversity gain, estimated conservatively at over 140 per cent.' A decision on the application is expected in September.

Man Utd 'look like a different team' following win over Bournemouth
Manchester United have won two out of two games in the Premier League Summer Series. The club won 2-1 against West Ham before delivering a convincing 4-1 win over Bournemouth. United played without Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo, which could be an indication that the same United players from last season have started to improve under Ruben Amorim. The manager gave his verdict on United's team, and he's optimistic going into his first full season. What did Amorim say about his squad? When asked about the Bournemouth game, Amorim said, "It was a good game. We played with intensity. We were aggressive and that is something that we need to improve from last season." 📲 Follow The Sporting News on WhatsApp "We had better possession compared to the last game, so they are listening. Of course, scoring first in the beginning of the games can change the confidence of the team. "We changed some positions and you feel that they know what to do in different positions." United struggled to score in games last season, falling behind in 19 games under Ruben Amorim in the Premier League. Amorim also talked about the defensive side of things, saying, "It was a good test. We controlled quite well the runs of Evanilson and Semenyo one against one. Luke Shaw was also really strong. So it was a good day." On the team as a whole, Amorim said, "It was just a pre-season game but the feeling with the same players, even being a pre-season game, if you look at the same players now playing, it looks like a different team and that is a good sign. "More than the results is the way they are playing. They are playing better also because they are connecting better with each other, not just on the pitch, but off the pitch."
