A magistrate has issued an arrest warrant for attempted manslaughter for the man who drove his car into a crowd in the southern German city of Passau, injuring his wife, 5-year-old daughter and three others, police said on Sunday.
The 48-year-old Iraqi national has been transferred to a correctional facility, they said.
According to initial findings, police suspect a custody dispute may have been the motive. The man and his wife are reportedly separated, the police said.
