To be direct and unequivocal, Mr. President, please allow me to clarify the following:
1.You will not own it. You will not take over it…
2.Gaza, Palestine, and Jordan are not for sale…
3.Gaza and Palestine are not real estate projects for speculation. They are the ancestral homeland of millions of Christian and Muslim Arabs—the rightful owners of the land.
4.Do not allow a war criminal to manipulate you, your country, and your people—people with whom we share historic and strategic ties and cherish—into fighting his ugly wars, as he has done relentlessly for the past 30 years.
5.International law explicitly prohibits ethnic cleansing, incitement to ethnic cleansing, genocide, and forced population transfers under key legal frameworks, including the Genocide Convention (1948), the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court (ICC) (1998), and the Geneva Conventions (1949). The Genocide Convention (Article III) criminalizes direct and public incitement to ethnic cleansing, genocide, conspiracy, and complicity, while Article IV holds leaders, officials, and individuals accountable.
6.The Rome Statute (Article 7) classifies forcible transfer of a population as a crime against humanity, and Article 25 makes incitement to ethnic cleansing and genocide a punishable offense. The Fourth Geneva Convention (Article 49) explicitly prohibits forced deportation in occupied territories, while Article 147 defines it as a grave war crime.
7.Leaders who incite or orchestrate ethnic cleansing face prosecution under international criminal law, with penalties including life imprisonment or long-term incarceration (Rome Statute, Article 77). They can be tried at the International Criminal Court (ICC), ad hoc tribunals (such as the ICTY and ICTR), or under universal jurisdiction—allowing any country to prosecute them. Precedents from tribunals for the former Yugoslavia and Rwanda prove that political leaders, military commanders, and propagandists can and will be convicted for incitement and crimes against humanity. UN Security Council resolutions have repeatedly reaffirmed that such actions constitute serious violations of international law, ensuring that those responsible are held to account.
And finally, Mr. President—bullying does not work in international politics, least of all with Jordanians and Palestinians…

The International Criminal Court (ICC) had been preparing potential arrest warrants for two far-right "Israeli" ministers over their roles in the expansion of Jewish settlements in the West Bank, according to current and former court officials, before Chief Prosecutor Karim Khan went on leave amid an internal misconduct investigation. According to a report by the Wall Street Journal (WSJ), the cases, involving "Israeli" Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich and National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, focus on whether their policies may constitute war crimes under international law. Khan's temporary departure, linked to a UN probe into allegations of sexual misconduct against him by a court staffer, has left decision-making in the hands of his deputies. It remains unclear how or whether they will move forward. The ICC has a mandate to investigate alleged crimes committed in Palestinian territories since 2014, when the Palestinian Authority formally accepted the court's jurisdiction. While the ICC has not confirmed the status of any individual cases, a court spokesperson reiterated this mandate. Prosecutors are said to be examining whether Smotrich and Ben-Gvir's actions — including support for settlement construction and alleged calls to reoccupy Gaza — violate the Geneva Conventions, which prohibit an occupying power from transferring its civilian population into occupied territories.
