UAE to host these 10 major global conferences, events in April

The UAE is set to host a series of high-profile conferences, exhibitions, and global events in April.
The events will bring together industry leaders, policymakers, and innovators across multiple sectors, ranging from investment and emergency management to artificial intelligence, aviation, healthcare, and gaming.
The following events will be held this month
Abu Dhabi will host the AIM Investment Summit 2025 from April 7-9 at ADNEC, welcoming over 25,000 participants from more than 170 countries. The summit will focus on sustainable development projects, job creation, and fostering global investment collaboration.

The World Crisis & Emergency Management Summit 2025, organised by the UAE's National Emergency Crisis and Disasters Management Authority, will take place from April 8-9 at ADNEC. It will be accompanied by the Crisis Management Technologies Exhibition, highlighting the role of advanced technologies in crisis response.
The Abu Dhabi Global Healthcare Week will return for its second edition from April 15-17, with over 15,000 participants and 325 exhibitors expected.
From April 27-29, the Culture Summit Abu Dhabi will take place at Manarat Al Saadiyat, under the theme 'Culture for Humanity and Beyond,' focusing on the relationship between culture and global transformation.
Dubai will host Dubai AI Week from April 21-25, featuring the Machines Can See Summit and the Dubai AI Festival. The event is expected to attract over 8,000 AI experts, 500 investors, and 100 exhibitors from more than 100 countries.
The 64th Annual Conference of the International Federation of Air Traffic Controllers' Associations (IFATCA 2025) will take place in Abu Dhabi from April 28 to May 2, bringing together aviation industry leaders.

The Dubai Esports and Games Festival will run from April 25 to May 11, featuring gaming exhibitions, tournaments, and competitions, including the Dubai Cosplay Championship and Play Beyond challenges.
The Sharjah Children's Reading Festival, taking place from April 23 to May 4, will feature book releases, interactive activities, and performances designed for young audiences.

The strategic framework is based on four main objectives: Ensuring secure and sustainable supply, achieving the highest levels of efficiency in supply and demand, supporting decarbonisation efforts through smart and economically efficient means, and maximising the economic value of energy and water resources. It also includes the implementation of key programmes such as digital transformation, expanding investments in artificial intelligence, enhancing international partnerships, developing national talents, and regulatory reforms aimed at encouraging private sector participation and attracting international investors. The plan aims to attract up to AED400 billion in foreign direct investment by 2050 and increase local content in key supply chains to 65 per cent, along with achieving 100 per cent Emiratisation of critical jobs in the sector. It's also strengthens economic growth opportunities by attracting capital and global technologies. This announcement comes in light of the rapid economic growth witnessed by the emirate, with its GDP surpassing the one trillion dirham mark, reinforcing its position as one of the fastest-growing economies globally. The energy and water sector has played a vital role in supporting this exceptional growth. Dr. Abdulla Humaid Al Jarwan, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Department of Energy, said the "strategic framework represents a comprehensive roadmap for the future of the energy and water sector in the upon an ambitious vision aimed at transforming the sector into a global model of efficiency, innovation, and sustainability, in line with (the) leadership's aspirations to build a diversified, net-zero economy by 2050.'
