Lucknow: A yoga programme, 'Yoga – With the Hidden Gems' was organised at Shalimar Gallant in Mahanagar on Saturday under the aegis of the Lucknow University, under the guidance of vice-chancellor Prof Alok Kumar Rai.
The event provided a platform for those who, even amidst adversity, possess the ability to find opportunities and become an inspiration to society. Saurabh, a boy with physical disability, moved the people with his extraordinary yoga performance. The highlight of the event was a hula hoop yoga demonstration by a child record-holder featured in the Yogasana Book of World Records.
Srishti Kashyap mesmerized everyone with a graceful yoga dance performance.
The yoga session was conducted by the elderly residents of Chhavi Shanti Ashram, nurtured under the guidance of Kumkum Rai Chaudhary. Mahant Ramsevak Das from Hanumat Dham, head of the department of astrology, LU, Shyamlesh Tiwari, and Priyanka Sarkar, daughter of Kumkum Rai Chaudhary were also present.
