When Pooja arrived the next day to bid her final farewell, she was struck by the sight of the beautifully prepared home that now stood in contrast to the somber occasion it had unexpectedly transformed into.On the night of her passing, Shefali had a regular dinner and then asked her husband, actor Parag Tyagi , to take their senior pet dog out for a walk. What seemed like a typical evening quickly spiraled into tragedy. As Parag stepped outside, he was alerted by the house helper that Shefali wasn't feeling well. The helper informed him that she had asked for assistance and wanted him to come back upstairs quickly."'And the moment he went down, apparently he was called. The helper at home called him and said, 'Didi is not feeling well.' So, she told him, 'Could you just come up and take care of me?'" Pooja revealed.Acting swiftly, Parag instructed the helper to take over walking the dog so he could return to Shefali. Waiting near the lift, he handed over the dog and rushed upstairs. According to what Pooja Ghai shared, Parag found Shefali still alive but in a distressing condition. Her pulse was faint, and she was unconscious, her body limp and unresponsive. Sensing the gravity of the situation, he wasted no time and took her to Bellevue Multispecialty Hospital.Despite his immediate action, Shefali was declared dead upon arrival. The cause was confirmed to be cardiac arrest, a cruel and silent thief that gave no warning before claiming her life.Shefali's last rites were performed at the Oshiwara Hindu crematorium, where her loved ones came together in grief. Her husband, Parag Tyagi, along with other family members and close friends from the entertainment fraternity, was present to pay their respects and offer support in this time of unimaginable loss.

Shefali, who rose to fame as the 'Kaanta Laga Girl' in the early 2000s, was previously married to musician Harmeet Singh of Meet Brothers in 2004. The couple parted ways in 2009. After her separation from Harmeet, she began dating Parag Tyagi and the two eventually tied the knot in 2014. She passed away at the age of 42 on Friday (June 27) in Mumbai.
