iQOO Neo10 Pro+ arrives with a Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, a better display and a bigger battery

GSM Arena20-05-2025

The iQOO Neo10 and Neo10 Pro were announced in late 2024 with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and Dimensity 9400, respectively. Now the company is launching an upgraded version with a faster chipset, better display, a bigger battery and some other improvements too.
iQOO Neo10 Pro+
The iQOO Neo10 Pro+ is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite and a self-developed iQOO Q2 gaming chip (more on that in a bit). The phone has various configurations with 12GB/16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB/512GB/1TB UFS 4.1 storage. A large vapor chamber keeps the chipset cool.
The new display is a 6.82' LTPO OLED panel with 1-144Hz refresh rate and a higher 1440p+ resolution (the old Neo10s have 6.78 144Hz LTPO displays with 1260p+ resolution). The phone does promise 144fps gaming thanks to the Q2 chip, which handles resolution and frame rate upscaling. iQOO worked with game developers to ensure support. The display reaches 1,800 nits globally, local peak brightness is 4,500 nits. There's an ultrasonic fingerprint reader underneath too.
The other major upgrade is the battery, which now has 6,800mAh capacity (up from 6,100mAh on the older Neo10s). It's a dual-cell design and supports 120W fast charging – it gets to 70% in 25 minutes. With non-proprietary USB-PD chargers, it can go up to 100W. Another important feature is the battery bypass option that runs the phone off wall power.

Other improvements on the iQOO Neo10 Pro+ include an IP65 rating. It's fairly basic water resistance, but the older models had none.
The camera system is a bit odd – it's more like the Neo10 than the Neo10 Pro. It has a 50MP main with OIS and an 8MP ultra wide (the Pro had a 50MP UW). The selfie camera got bumped up to 32MP resolution (from 16MP).
iQOO Neo10 Pro+ color options
The iQOO Neo10 Pro+ is available in China now through the company's online store. It comes in three colors and the pricing breakdown is below: iQOO Neo10 Pro+ price (CNY) price (converted) 12GB/256GB CNY 3,000 $415 16GB/256GB CNY 3,300 $460 12GB/512GB CNY 3,500 $485 16GB/512GB CNY 3,700 $515 16GB/1TB CNY 4,200 $585

Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge teardown video reveals all

Samsung's Galaxy S25 Edge came out last month after much anticipation, and today it's been torn down on video by Zack at JerryRigEverything. The phone is easily opened through the back after applying some heat to the adhesive and then using a suction cup. Inside there are a lot of screws as you may expect. The vibration motor is super thin, but interestingly the waterproofing membrane over the speaker is tilted at an angle because of the phone's thinness. Battery removal is very easy, perhaps the easiest system on the market, which debuted on the other S25 devices. Obviously, the battery is where a lot of the thickness was cut in order to achieve the phone's 5.8mm profile. The company also removed "slivers of frame" wherever it could, Zack says, with the SoC directly in contact with the vapor chamber in the S25 Edge vs. the S25 Ultra. The middle layer of the baseboard is much thinner on the Edge too. Finally, the titanium frame actually uses an aluminum inner frame. Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge

Samsung users could lose something important this July — and not everyone is ready

Samsung is preparing to delete old user accounts that haven't been active for two years. Starting July 31, 2025, any Samsung account that hasn't been used or logged into in the past 24 months will be permanently deleted. This includes all data tied to the account. According to Samsung, the goal of this policy is to help protect personal data. If an account hasn't been touched in years, it could become a target for unauthorized access. Removing unused accounts is one way to reduce that risk. Users who want to keep their accounts need to take action before the deadline. Simply logging into the account or using a Samsung service while signed in will be enough to reset the inactivity period. If no action is taken before July 31, the account will be deleted permanently. Once deleted, access will be blocked and any data stored in the account will be lost for good. Samsung says it will send email reminders to affected users ahead of the deletion date. That said, if you've used more than one Samsung account over the years, this is a good time to check if any of them have gone unused. Logging in now could save you from losing valuable information later. For users of Samsung devices, it connects them all, backs up your data, stores app purchases, and lets you use features like Samsung Cloud, SmartThings, and Find My Mobile. Even if you don't use these services daily, your account may still hold important data, especially if you've used Galaxy phones or tablets in the access to an account also means losing saved preferences, synced contacts, and device backups. For users who might return to a Samsung device in the future, keeping the account active ensures a smoother experience when setting things up avoid losing access, all you need to do is log into your Samsung account before the July 31 deadline. If you're not sure whether you have inactive accounts, check your email for notices from Samsung, or try signing into your older devices. We'll continue to monitor any updates Samsung provides on this policy. For now, if you have a Samsung account you care about, don't wait too long to log in and keep it active.
