Vitaly Zdorovetskiy shows weight loss after transfer to Philippine jail amid ongoing criminal charges
Russian content creator Vitaly Zdorovetskiy appears visibly thinner in new images released after his transfer to the Philippines' Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP), The Philippine Star reported. The 33-year-old streamer remains in custody following a series of controversial incidents that led to his arrest in Pasay City on April 3, 2025.

According to The Philippine Star, the country's Bureau of Immigration confirmed on June 16 that Zdorovetskiy was moved to BJMP custody five days earlier. Photos published by the outlet show him in handcuffs, with some social media users noting a significant change in his appearance since his initial arrest.
Zdorovetskiy faces multiple criminal charges after live-streaming several incidents in Bonifacio Global City, where he was seen harassing a security guard, disturbing an elderly woman, and allegedly stealing an electric fan and a tricycle — both later abandoned. He broadcast the footage on his now-deactivated Kick channel under the title, 'Vitaly DISTURBING THE PEACE in Philippines.'
He requested bail, promising in writing to remain in the National Capital Region and comply with any deportation orders. However, Immigration Commissioner Joel Viado rejected the request, stating, 'Foreign nationals who abuse our hospitality and violate our laws must face the consequences. No special treatment will be given.'
Earlier this month, Interior Secretary Jonvic Remulla disclosed that both Russia and the United States — where Zdorovetskiy holds a green card — declined to repatriate him. The BJMP will continue holding Zdorovetskiy until his criminal cases conclude, after which the Bureau of Immigration will proceed with deportation proceedings.

Nine dead, 26 injured in China fireworks factory blast
BEIJING: An explosion at a fireworks factory in central China killed nine people and injured 26 others, state media said Tuesday, as challenging on-site rescue work continued a day after the incident. The blast occurred shortly before 8:30 am Monday at a factory in a village outside Changde, a city in Hunan province, state-run China National Radio (CNR) said. As of 9:00 am on Tuesday, nine people were dead and 26 injured, CNR said citing a rescue command centre. Rescue work at the scene was ongoing, CNR reported, noting a 'complicated' situation and the risk of additional explosions hampering response efforts. Russian overnight attack on Kyiv kills 14 and injures 44, officials say Adding to the challenge, the site was in a 'mountainous area with no large water source', it added. 'During more than 20 hours of uninterrupted and continuous rescue, the rescue team used remote-controlled water cannons to extinguish the fire,' the report said. State news agency Xinhua also said Tuesday that the Ministry of Emergency Management had sent a working team to Hunan to oversee the rescue. 'Efforts must be made to ascertain the cause of the explosion as soon as possible and to hold those responsible accountable,' the ministry said, according to Xinhua. Industrial accidents are fairly common in China due to vague regulations and lax safety standards. Last month, an explosion at a chemical plant in the eastern province of Shandong killed at least five people. In 2015, blasts at warehouses containing flammable chemicals in the port city of Tianjin killed more than 170 people and injured 700 others.

Russian overnight attack on Kyiv kills 14 and injures 44, officials say
KYIV: Waves of Russian drones and missiles struck districts across the Ukrainian capital Kyiv early on Tuesday, killing 14 people and injuring 44, according to the interior ministry. The Russian attack struck 27 locations around the capital, damaging residential buildings, educational institutions, and critical infrastructure facilities, Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko said. 'Today, the enemy spared neither drones nor missiles,' he said about what he called one of the largest attacks on the city since Russia launched the full-scale invasion in February 2022. Reuters witnesses said drones swarmed over the capital and they heard what appeared to be missiles overhead. An air raid alert remained in effect more than seven hours after it had been proclaimed. Other parts of the country also came under attack, including a region outside the capital where one person was injured and the southern region of Odesa, where 13 people were injured, according to local authorities. Klymenko said a ballistic missile struck a nine-storey residential building in Kyiv's Solomianskyi district, destroying a section of it. He said the emergency services were racing to search through the rubble for any possible survivors. Mayor Vitali Klitschko said that a 62-year-old US citizen had died in a dwelling opposite a site where medics were providing assistance during the attack. Klymenko said the man died from shrapnel wounds. Both Ukraine and Russia have launched drone attacks in recent weeks as the two sides have held two sessions of direct talks on ending the more than three-year-old war. The talks have produced agreements on freeing prisoners of war and returning the bodies of fallen soldiers, but little more. Ukraine says received another 1,200 bodies from Russia 'More strikes by Russian drones on residential buildings in Kyiv,' Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy's chief of staff, Andriy Yermak, wrote on Telegram. 'Russia is continuing its war on civilians.' Russian air defence units intercepted and destroyed 147 Ukrainian drones over Russian territory, including the Moscow region, overnight, Russian Defence Ministry said on Tuesday.
