Interior minister, Bahraini counterpart talk cooperation
AMMAN — Interior Minister Mazen Farraya on Monday received his Bahraini counterpart Sheikh Gen. Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa and his accompanying delegation.
The two sides discussed aspects of cooperation in security and policing fields, stressing the 'deep-rooted' relations between the two kingdoms, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Sheikh Rashid expressed his country's full support of Jordan, lauding measures taken by the Kingdom to safeguard its national security and reiterating Bahrain's support of Jordan "in all circumstances."
The Bahraini minister was welcomed by Farraya and a number of officials on arrival in Amman earlier on Monday.

The Palestinian Ambassador to Amman, Attallah Khairy, praised the steadfast efforts of Jordan—made under direct royal directives—to deliver the largest possible quantities of aid to the besieged Gaza Strip. اضافة اعلان In a statement to the Jordan News Agency (Petra) on Sunday, Khairy emphasized that His Majesty King Abdullah II has been tirelessly working on regional and international levels to stop the Israeli military aggression against Gaza and end the brutal war targeting the Palestinian people. He also noted the King's relentless efforts to open all possible land, sea, and air routes to deliver humanitarian aid to the Palestinian population suffering from what he described as an unprecedented man-made famine. Khairy highlighted that Jordan, under King Abdullah's leadership, is leveraging its strong relations with the United States, European nations, and others across the world to seek an end to the Israeli aggression and apply pressure on the occupation to allow humanitarian aid into Gaza. He warned that over two million Palestinians—including more than 100,000 children—face a slow, real death if the Israeli siege continues and humanitarian aid is obstructed. He warned that time is running out, and the lives of Gaza's residents, already devastated by hunger, illness, and nearly two years of war, are increasingly at risk. Khairy commended Jordan's continued delivery of aid by land and air, which helps alleviate the suffering of Palestinians in Gaza by providing them with the bare necessities of life denied due to the blockade. He stated, 'If Jordan were allowed to send 1,000 aid trucks to Gaza, it would do so gladly and without hesitation. The main obstacle lies with the Israeli occupation, which continues to block and hinder the delivery of aid to the people of Gaza.' The ambassador stressed that Jordan works around the clock on political, diplomatic, and legal fronts with its Arab and international partners and institutions to end the Israeli assault and reach a comprehensive solution for Gaza and the broader Palestinian cause—based on the two-state solution as the only guarantee for peace and stability in the region. He affirmed that Jordan's support for the Palestinian people is not limited to one area, noting the Kingdom has continuously extended assistance to the residents of Gaza for many years. Jordan, he said, took the initiative to deploy field hospitals—still operating today and providing medical services to hundreds of thousands. It also dispatched mobile bakeries that produce tens of thousands of loaves of bread daily and distribute them directly to the public, in addition to organizing air and land humanitarian aid convoys. Khairy also deeply appreciated His Majesty's royal gesture of hosting hundreds of injured Gazans of all ages for treatment in Jordanian hospitals, providing them and their companions with high-quality care and a warm, dignified reception. He conveyed heartfelt gratitude on behalf of the Palestinian people and leadership to His Majesty the King, the Jordanian government, and the Jordanian people, affirming that Jordan has always stood firmly by Palestine in the darkest and most difficult times. Jordan begins legal action over concealed assets linked to Muslim Brotherhood
Jordanian authorities have initiated a series of legal procedures targeting individuals suspected of hiding assets tied to the banned Muslim Brotherhood group, according to a source quoted by the Jordan News Agency (Petra). The action comes after the end of a one-month grace period on June 14, which was granted by the government-appointed dissolution committee. The Ministry of Social Development had called on anyone in possession of property or funds on behalf of the group to step forward and regularize their status before the matter was transferred to judicial authorities. During the grace period, several individuals submitted written statements denying ownership of certain assets. However, many acknowledged that they were holding properties and bank accounts on behalf of the banned group. In these cases, authorities reached settlements and redirected the assets to the Ministry's Associations Support Fund, in line with Article 25 of the Associations Law.
