Egypt Denies Allegations of Approval for Displacement of Palestinians to Sinai

Saba Yemen21-03-2025

Cairo - Saba:
The Egyptian State Information Service (SIS) denied media reports circulating regarding Egypt's willingness to temporarily relocate half a million residents of Gaza to a designated city in North Sinai as part of the Strip's reconstruction.
The SIS said in a statement on Friday that these allegations fundamentally contradict Egypt's consistent and principled position since the beginning of the war of extermination on Gaza in October 2023.
It clarified that Egypt categorically rejects any attempt to displace our Palestinian brothers, whether forcibly or voluntarily, to any location outside the Palestinian territories.
The SIS indicated that such allegations pose a direct threat to the Palestinian cause and aim to liquidate the rights of the Palestinian people. This contradicts Egypt's consistent positions in supporting and protecting Palestinian rights, and it also poses a threat to Egyptian national security.

YMU condemns Zionist enemy's attack on Iranian broadcasting headquarters

Sana'a - Saba: The Yemeni Medias' Union strongly condemned the Zionist enemy's criminal attack on the headquarters of the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB), which resulted in martyrs and injuries among media personnel and the destruction of studios belonging to the official news channel. In a statement obtained by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), the Syndicate described this dangerous escalation as a crime against press freedom and an extension of the genocidal war waged by the enemy entity against free speech. This desperate attempt aims to silence independent media voices that resist oppression and expose the enemy's escalating crimes against the peoples of the region. "As we in the Yemeni Journalists' Syndicate express our full solidarity with our fellow journalists in the Islamic Republic of Iran, who courageously confront the Zionist machine of lies and deception, we commend their resilience and professionalism in conveying the truth and defending the causes of the nation," the statement read. It added, "This aggression is not isolated but part of a long series of crimes committed by the Zionist enemy, most notably the horrific massacres against Palestinian journalists in the Gaza Strip, which have claimed the lives of more than 170 media professionals to date, along with the destruction of dozens of media institutions and offices." The Yemeni Medias' Union called on unions, syndicates, and media organizations in the Arab and Islamic world, as well as the international community, to take serious and practical action against this dangerous escalation targeting journalists and media facilities. It urged efforts to curb Zionist aggression and hold accountable those who support it. Whatsapp Telegram Email Print more of (Local)
