The Orlando Magic used their No. 32 pick to draft French forward Noah Penda on Thursday. Unlike the other draft prospects, Penda is a 20-year-old professional basketball player who played for two professional basketball leagues. The Magic traded picks Nos. 46, 57 and a 2026 second-round pick and a 2027 second-round pick to the Boston Celtics.

At 6-foot-8, there's an expectation that Penda will be part of Orlando's rotation in the 2025-26 season. The young forward is raw and talented and is considered to be a "Swiss army knife." Many believe the French basketball player has the potential to be a decent basketball player as he develops in the NBA.

After Orlando drafted the young forward, team president Jeff Weltman revealed that Penda was already on their radar before. During their trips in Europe, Weltman and the Magic saw the potential for the youngster to be a part of their organization.
"Noah is a very unique player," Weltman said. "He's 6-7 plus, [with a] 7-foot wingspan, probably about 250 [pounds]. He is exceptionally skilled. A very good ballhandler, very good passer and an excellent defender. He's kind of a unique player. When we first saw him, he struck us on one of our first trips to Europe as a guy to flag for the rest of the season."
Weltman also spoke highly of Penda's development in France after playing professional basketball for three years.

"He is just a worker and has gotten better and better. He has improved his body, and as he has done that, he has become one of the elite players in the league at 20," he added.
Last season, he played for Le Mans Sarthe Basket and appeared in 29 games. He averaged 10.2 points, 5.1 rebounds and 2.6 assists. The Magic value his addition to the squad as they try to contend for the NBA title next season.

Juventus only interested in Jadon Sancho if they fail with first-choice target Francisco Conceição

Ruben Amorim's revolution at Manchester United this summer is going to rely largely on outgoings with the Portuguese head coach desperate to change the culture in and around Old Trafford. Additionally, any sales will help fund the transfer kitty which is under the watchful eye of the Premier League Profit and Sustainability guidelines. Advertisement United have made it clear which players are up for sale in the market but finding suitors for the heavily paid and underperforming crop is proving difficult. Jadon Sancho is one of those United are keen to offload in the coming months after a disastrous spell in Manchester. However, the Englishman's salary demands are such that United will need to strike a cut price deal to get him out of the doors. Interest has been registered by clubs on the continent with Turkish club Fenerbahçe now the front runners to end Sancho's United nightmare. As reported by Italian media, Juventus are also one of those clubs monitoring Sancho's situation but he is not seen as a priority target by the Serie A giants. Advertisement Porto winger Francisco Conceição the number one choice to bolster Igor Tudor's attacking options going into the new campaign. Juve are hoping to get a reduced price on Conceição's €30 million release clause with a view to getting a deal over the line after the Club World Cup. However, Porto are expected to stand firm in their stance of demanding the full amount which will leave the Italians with a decision to make. Sancho is reported as an option for the Old Lady but only if they fail in their attempts to sign Conceição. This should serve as another blow to the inflated ego of Sancho after Chelsea stumped up £5 million to send him back to United despite having a obligation to purchase the winger permanently. However, it seems Sancho is willing to dig his heels in with regards to his salary and won't budge far enough away from the eye watering wage he is earning at United. Advertisement Amorim has instructed INEOS to move the 24-year-old on and the hierarchy at United are also keen to secure a permanent deal for a player who is taking up a sizable chunk of the wage bill. Should the likely parting of ways materialize, Sancho will surely go down as one of the worst signings in United's history and rather sums up the woeful performance in the transfer market by the club over the last decade. What does it mean to the Boston Celtics now that they have traded Kristaps Porzingis?

What does it mean to the Boston Celtics now that they have traded Kristaps Porzingis to the Atlanta Hawks? The Celtics have made moves to get cheaper in recent days, with the trade of Porzingis to the Hawks one of multiple moves Boston has made or will likely make to reshape their roster in the face of what would have been a historically expensive roster and tax bill. But now the team is a bit thin in their frontcourt rotation, especially with vet bigs Al Horford and Luke Kornet still free agents who might leave the team this offseason. So where does the trade of the Latvian center leave the Celtics for the season ahead and beyond? Advertisement Cohosts of the CLNS Media "Garden Report" podcast, Noa Dalzell and John Zannis, sat down to talk it all over when the news of the three-team deal broke. Check it out below!
