Loose Women's Jane Moore left 'sofa-surfing' as she issues update on 'unsettling' time
Loose Women panellist Jane Moore has been coming to terms with relationship struggles of her own after splitting from her husband, Gary Farrow, in 2022
Loose Women's Jane Moore has opened up about her "unsettling" experience of "sofa-surfing" following the sale of her family home and her recent divorce.
Jane, who graced the first episode of Loose Women in 1999 with Nadia Sawalha, Kaye Adams, and Karren Brady, has been a staple on the ITV programme ever since.
Starting off as a journalist, Jane Moore is now more widely recognised for her work in broadcasting, having featured on beloved programmes such as This Morning, Question Time, and The Andrew Marr Show, not to mention her stint on I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! last year.
Despite often dishing out relationship advice on TV, Jane has faced her own personal challenges, dealing with the fallout from her split with husband Gary Farrow in 2022, reports Belfast Live.
Celebrating her 63rd birthday today, Jane shared details of her life post-divorce, revealing that she resorted to "sofa-surfing" with the support of close friends.
In a candid piece for Platinum magazine, Jane described her temporary "nomadic" existence, saying: "After selling the family home to downsize, I put the majority of my possessions into storage and embarked on a period of nomadic sofa-surfing until I found a new abode."
Following her children's step into independence, one woman revealed how sofa-surfing took her across London's glorious abodes, saying: "Well, I say sofa-surfing. But, thanks to my generous, mostly divorced friends, who live alone and welcome company, I was offered a variety of gorgeous en-suite bedrooms in multiple London locations."
Her escapades saw her staying in some of the capital's most enviable areas including Notting Hill and King's Road in Chelsea, yet she later felt the pull to "put down roots again" and establish a home for herself.
Reflecting on her nomadic lifestyle, the previously organised individual shared: "I'm starting to feel slightly chaotic which, as a hitherto organised person, is unsettling me."
In recent developments apart from her residential journey, during an episode of the Loose Women podcast, the broadcaster spoke candidly about maintaining a friendly rapport with her ex-husband post-separation.
Jane conveyed in the discussion that she, her former spouse, and their daughters Ellie and Grace, have managed to keep things pleasant, even sharing Christmas Day festivities together.

The presenter and performer presented the 2023 edition of the biggest soap awards in the UK, taking over from Phillip Schofield. While the ceremony did not take place last year, it has returned for this year and will be aired on ITV on Thursday evening, June 5. Fans may recognise Jane McDonald from co-hosting ITV's Loose Women as well as her very own Channel 5 travel show, Cruising with Jane McDonald, which has won awards itself. But away from the spotlight, Jane has been through her fair share of challenges and heartache, having candidly spoken about her "failures and mistakes" in her recently published autobiography, Let the Light In. For the latest TV and showbiz gossip sign up to our newsletter . In the book, the 62-year-old singer and TV personality also reflected on the painful loss of her fiancé, Eddie Rothe, to lung cancer in 2021. As reported by OK!, the performer detailed a particularly tough period for Jane came in 2002, at a time when she was enjoying the height of her early fame and living in Florida with her second husband and manager Henrik Brixen. Despite previous years of sell-out performances, including shows in Las Vegas, and the anticipation of a new album and a BBC documentary, Jane found herself penniless. Article continues below This financial crisis led to the end of their five-year marriage and saw Jane returning to Wakefield at the age of 40 to start over, moving back in with her mother. She reflected: "I've had a few sticky moments and I've taken a lot of risks in my life, but I don't do fear any more". She then added: "I've been there, I've seen it, I've done it. I've got the T-shirt, I've washed it, I've dried it and then I've got another. "[Back then] I thought, 'I've had a chance at this [career] and it's gone, but I'll get it back.'". Jane faced her fair share of challenges but remained unaffected, reviving her presenting role on Loose Women from 2004 and rekindled her love for music. By 2010 she was gracing the stage of the London Palladium once more, and the following year she was topping the bill on her own tour. Jane McDonald returns to host at The Hackney Empire in London for The British Soap Awards 2025 (Image: ITV ) Later branching out into television with her successful series, Cruising With Jane McDonald, which took home a Bafta in 2018, and Jane McDonald And Friends, Jane climbed to new professional peaks, and post a 45-date cruise tour, she was looking forward to a tranquil retirement alongside her partner Eddie. Yet, the end of 2018 brought the devastating news of her mother Jean's death, closely followed by the "sudden and shocking" loss of Eddie, marking a time of sorrow. Jane spoke of this tough phase in her life, acknowledging: "The two guiding lights in my life were Ed and my mother and I suppose losing both of them so quickly together was the hardest thing I've ever been through. "But I've joined a club of so many people who were in my position. I say to anybody now, 'Don't wallow for too long.'". "[Grief] takes a while and it will creep up on you when you least expect it, but if you can chase joy as much as you can, it's allowed. You don't have to feel guilt if you're laughing. Because we do. "We think, 'I can't possibly feel happy because I've lost them,' but we have to live the life that they wanted for us. Otherwise, what was the point?". "So I've taken every bit of wisdom from my mother - and she had lots of it - and all the love and all that fantastic relationship I had with Ed and I celebrate it now, I take them with me. "It's a way of accepting that you cannot change what's happened, but taking all that with you and moving forward. "Not moving on, because that means you're leaving them behind, but moving forward with them in your heart." After experiencing numerous highs and lows, including seeking help from a PTSD specialist due to difficulties in facing daily life, Jane did not find solace in writing about her past errors and recent sorrows. She confessed: "I didn't find it cathartic at all. I thought it was awful. I hated every minute of it because I'm not good at going back. I'm really not good at going back. Jane with her late fiancé Eddie (Image: Dave) "I'm really not good at saying, 'Oh, I failed at that and I failed at this.' But I suppose what is good is that I can say I did fail massively at this, but this is what I did to get out of it. "My world fell apart so many times, but this is what I did instead. I really hope it's going to help others, especially those coming into the industry." Jane recognised that grief had deeply changed her, but it also provided her with a new perspective on life. "It changes who you are," she mused. "It changes your life. It changes your plans. It robs you of every future you planned. But now I've got a different future and I intend to make it the best I possibly can. "I'm at that pace now where I'm 110 miles an hour, but I intend to slow down because life's gone like that [clicks her fingers]. You know, it's a big shock, losing Ed as quickly as I did, and it made me think, 'How many summers have I got left?'. Article continues below "I want a house by the sea, I want to sit on a deck and watch the waves, or go for a walk on a beach, or sit with a scarf around me and drink a cup of tea. I want all of that. I've now got this chance to have an amazing life with Ed in [my heart] and I intend to do that." You can watch The British Soap Awards 2025 on ITV1 and ITVX at 8pm on Thursday evening, June 5.

Diddy trial latest: Anonymous ex-girlfriend of Sean Combs giving evidence - after judge threatens to throw rapper out of court
19:23:35 Third alleged victim 'Jane' begins her testimony The government calls "Jane" to the stand. Jane, who is giving evidence under a pseudonym, is a former girlfriend of Sean "Diddy" Combs. After Cassie Ventura and "Mia", a former personal assistant to the hip-hop mogul, she is the third alleged victim to give evidence during this trial. Jane was allegedly engaged in commercial sex acts "as a result of force, fraud or coercion" by Combs. "The defendant used lies, drugs, threats, and violence to force and coerce, first, Cassie, and later Jane, to have sex with him in front of male escorts," prosecutors said in their opening statement at the beginning of the trial. Judge Arun Subramanian tells the court her real name will not be mentioned in court. Evidence monitors have been switched off in overflow rooms. 19:18:03 Investigative analyst answers questions on Cassie's mobile phones Enrique Santos tells the court he is an investigative analyst for the US attorney's office for the Southern District of New York. His duties include forensic examination of mobile phones, tablets and other devices with GPS technology, the jury is told. Santos says he has carried out close to 3,000 mobile phone "extractions", which means preserving and analysing electronic data, during his career, and tells the court about the methods and tools he uses for his work. He says he was asked to extract three iPhones for this case and later found out they belonged to Cassie Ventura. They were generally in good shape, he says. Santos says investigators recovered several deleted records from the devices. After a few questions from both the prosecution and the defence, he finishes his evidence. 18:57:20 Court back in session Jurors are now coming back into the courtroom in Manhattan, New York, following the lunch break. The government calls investigative analyst Enrique Santos as the next witness. 18:32:13 Judge threatens to remove Diddy from court for nodding at jurors Before proceedings get under way again, we have an update from court during the break. Judge Arun Subramanian has threatened to remove Sean "Diddy" Combs from the courtroom, telling lawyers he has been "clear" there should be no facial expressions to the jury. During one line of questioning today, the rapper was "nodding" and looking at jurors, the judge said. "That is absolutely unacceptable." Defence lawyer Marc Agnifilo tells the judge this will not happen again. "If it happens again, I will give an instruction to the jury or it could result in the exclusion of your client from the courtroom," the judge said. Court artist Jane Rosenberg, who has been watching Combs in court for the past months, told Sky News's US partner NBC News that he has been making facial expressions at jurors since the start of the trial. Combs has been attempting to interact with various members of the jury, both affirmatively and negatively depending on the testimony, she said. Several NBC reporters and producers have witnessed the same. 17:57:50 Court breaks for lunch Bryana Bongolan's evidence has finished and Judge Arun Subramanian has dismissed the jury for lunch. Proceedings continue at 1.30pm New York time - so 6.30pm here in the UK. We'll be back then with live updates from court. 17:50:56 Witness says she was 'terrified' and will 'never forget' allegedly being held over balcony Madison Smyser asks redirect questions for the prosecution after Bryana Bongolan's cross-examination by the defence. She asks Bongolan if she has any doubt that Sean "Diddy" Combs held her over the balcony. "I have no doubt," she replies. She tells the court she is not receiving any money for appearing in court, but is giving evidence "to seek justice". "Did you remember every single detail?" Smyster asks. "No," Bongolan replies. Smyser: "Are there things you will never forget?" Bongolan: "Absolutely, I will never forget him holding me on that balcony." Smyser: "How did you feel?" Bongolan: "Terrified." 17:45:56 'One person cannot be in California and New York at the same time' The court hears about events in New York that Sean "Diddy" Combs attended around 26 September 2016, and bills from the Trump International Hotel on that date. This is also when the balcony-dangling incident at Cassie's apartment in Los Angeles is alleged to have happened. Defence lawyer Nicole Westmoreland says it can't be true that Combs injured Bryana Bongolan on that date as "one person cannot be in California and New York at the same time". Bongolan says she can't remember about the date. During her earlier testimony, the court heard of a photo of a bruise on her leg that she said was taken a few hours after the incident. Metadata from this photo shows it was taken on 26 September 2016, the court hears. Asked if she has lied to the jury, Bongolan says she "can't agree". 17:25:32 'I don't want any problems,' witness says she told Diddy The court now hears Bryana Bongolan returned to Cassie Ventura's LA apartment within a fortnight of Sean "Diddy" Combs allegedly dangling her over the edge of a balcony on the 17th floor. Ventura invited Bongolan to stay over for a night of drinking, smoking and cooking, text messages showed. Asked if she returned to the same place less than two weeks after Combs "caused you significant injuries and terror", she says she did. Bongolan says she was "trying to be cool" with Combs and that she had told him, "I don't want any problems". 17:14:59 Witness went to Diddy concert after alleged balcony incident Returning to the alleged balcony dangling incident, defence attorney Nicole Westmoreland asks witness Bryana Bongolan if she was screaming. "Yes, I was screaming," she replies. Asked if anyone else called the police, she says she has no idea. As the defence has done with other witnesses, Westmoreland points out that Bongolan kept socialising with Sean "Diddy" Combs even after incidents of alleged violence. Bongolan admits she shared cannabis with Combs on an occasion following the alleged balcony incident, but says she was trying to maintain some distance. She confirms she later went to one of his concerts, in October 2016, and to a private party the day after. Asked if she was wearing a neck brace, she said she needed after the balcony incident, Bongolan replies: "I probably should have."

Orlando Bloom wants to ‘get the band back together' for Pirates Of The Caribbean
The 48-year-old, who plays Will Turner in the Disney film franchise, told ITV's This Morning there is a chance the cast could reunite for a new instalment. Asked if more Pirates Of The Caribbean features are possible, he said: 'Well, I don't know, I can't say anything at the moment because I really don't know, but there's definitely availability. 'I think they're trying to work out what it would all look like, I personally think it'd be great to get the band back together, that would be great, but there are always different ideas, and so we'll see where it lands.' Bloom also spoke about his latest film Deep Cover, which will be released on June 12, saying he took inspiration from Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher when constructing his character. A post shared by This Morning (@thismorning) The Kent-born actor said: 'When I read in the script that (his character) was a northern I was like, 'who's the iconic northerner that I know?'. 'Growing up I went to Knebworth and seeing Liam and the boys, the whole band, but Liam, he's just got that swag, hasn't he? 'I thought if I can get even close to that, I'd have a lot of fun trying, and it sort of lent itself, and I kind of imagined that (he) was sort of this desperate, out of work actor, maybe he worked at like a costume house or something. 'So he'd get really into the costume and what he was wearing, and the Liam look and everything, so it was a really great way into the character, and I had a lot of fun with it.' The Pirates Of The Caribbean series has seen five feature films: The Curse Of The Black Pearl (2003); Dead Man's Chest (2006); At World's End (2007); On Stranger Tides (2011); and Dead Men Tell No Tales (2017); along with the short film Pirates Of The Caribbean: Tales Of The Code: Wedlocked (2011). The series is based on the Disneyland attraction of the same name, and follows the adventures of Captain Jack Sparrow, played by Johnny Depp. It has also spawned a number of video games.
