Nintendo increases prices of original Switch models and accessories in US
Nintendo has announced a price rise of the original Switch games in the US. The company, in an official blog post said that the price hike will be effective from August 3, 2025. 'Pricing for the original Nintendo Switch™ family of systems and products will change in the United States based on market conditions, effective August 3, 2025,' Nintendo wrote in the post. As revealed by the company, the price of Nintendo Switch – OLED Model, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch Lite and select Nintendo Switch accessories will increase in the country. Other Nintendo products, including certain Nintendo Switch 2 accessories , select amiibo, and the Nintendo Sound Clock: Alarmo, will also see adjustments. Nintendo Switch price hike reason Nintendo says that the price hike is 'based on market conditions'. However, the company is yet to reveal the new prices. To compare, the original Nintendo Switch was listed at $299.99, while the OLED model with an improved screen sold for $349.99.
