Loyal dog 'tails' ambulance to hospital and waits outside for owner for 6 days

In a heartwarming display of loyalty, a dog named Boncuk waited outside a Turkish hospital for six days while her owner was treated for a brain embolism.
The dog's owner, Cemal Senturk, was admitted to a hospital in Trabzon, Turkey and his faithful companion, Boncuk, followed the ambulance there, steadfastly waiting for him to emerge.
Boncuk 'tailed' the ambulance to the medical facility and stood vigil outside, undeterred even when family members attempted to bring her back home, reports The Mirror US.
She maintained her post at the hospital entrance from dawn till dusk for every day that her owner was admitted. Footage captures the devoted dog outside the hospital and their touching reunion upon Senturk's release. Boncuk waiting outside the hospital (Image: That Good News Girl/Facebook)
Boncuk would show up at the hospital around 9 am and remain until evening, loyally waiting by the entrance. Despite efforts by Senturk's daughter, Aynur Egeli, to take Boncuk home, the determined dog would find her way back to the hospital time and again.
After a six-day vigil, Boncuk joyously reunited with Senturk as he left the hospital. While the episode occurred in 2021, the tale captured hearts worldwide all over again after a TikTok 'positive news account' highlighted the fluffy white dog's dedication to her owner.
The woman narrated: "When Cemal was picked up from his home in Turkey by an ambulance, his dog Banjok managed to slip out the front door at the same time.
"After watching him load into the back of the vehicle, she managed to follow the ambulance all the way to the hospital, where she started waiting right outside the front door.
"Hospital staff checked her tags and connected her to their newly-admitted patient and called Cemal's family to pick her up, but the next morning, Bonjok was right back by the entrance of the hospital, waiting patiently to see her best friend. She had made another escape from Cemal's family's home, and when she was returned to the family again, she did the exact same thing the next morning.
"At this point, hospital staff had become fond of Bonjok, and they decided to start caring for her and feeding her themselves while keeping an eye on her and making sure she stayed safe.
"They brought Cemal down for visits with her while he was recovering, and after five days of treatment, he was finally able to go home. Cemal and Bonjok reunited outside of the hospital for good this time.
"They went home together, where Bonjok finally decided to stay put," the TikToker, known as 'That Good News Girl' explained." Hospital staff became attached to Boncuk (Image: That Good News Girl/Facebook)
Dog owners often wonder who holds the title of their canine's favorite human, and it's a popular belief that dogs show a preference for the person who feeds them, walks them and plays with them.
But the experts over at Rover think it goes deeper, suggesting dogs usually vibe best with the person "who matches their own energy level and personality."
Veterinarian Dr. James Greenwood, a TV personality from the UK show The Pet Show, offers guidance on determining whether you're your dog's primary favorite or just a secondary human in their eyes. He also shares tips for strengthening your bond with your canine companion.
According to Dr. Greenwood, a significant indicator of a dog's feelings is their tail behaviour, emphasising the importance of observing their body language.
He says: "It's all about the tail with dogs! They can express a whole range of emotions through their tail wag. Whilst it's important to note not all tail wagging is a sign of happiness, there are two types that signal pure joy in our dogs." Cemal and Boncuk reunited (Image: That Good News Girl/Facebook)
Dr. Greenwood advises paying attention to your dog's body language when you return home, particularly noticing which person they approach first and the style of their wag.
"Firstly, the whole-body wag that starts at the shoulders and wiggles all the way down to the tip of the tail is quite literally their happy dance," he says.
It's safe to say Mr. Senturk is definitely his dog's favorite human. Some use the tell-tail signs to know, while others watch their pup follow them to the emergency room and back.

Terrifying moment thrashing 20ft whale bashes boat throwing woman into the churning sea

THIS is the horrifying moment a massive whale thrashes into a boat and hurls a woman into the sea. A video taken by a passenger on a nearby vessel captured the ordeal, which saw the 20ft minke smash into the motor in Barnegat Bay, New Jersey on Sunday. 5 A 20ft whale was filmed thrashing in the water Credit: Facebook/Kim Mancini 5 The enormous animal wound up under a boat and hurled a woman overboard Credit: Facebook/Kim Mancini 5 Shocked onlookers said the animal seemed 'really in distress' Credit: Facebook/Kim Mancini Kim Mancinin said the whale appeared to be "really in distress" before the boaters arrived. "It was really in distress. That's when it would go under boats, it was a crazy experience," she told 6abs. After flailing around in the ocean, the animal found itself under the boat's hull. Terrifying footage shows the boat bobbing on the sea as the whale's fin jerks out just a few metres away. She was quickly pulled to safety and did not sustain any injuries. Meanwhile, the whale reportedly died. This isn't the first time a whale was caught capsizing a boat. Last year, A video taken by a pair of brothers on a nearby ship captured the terrifying ordeal, showing the exact moment a whale submerged a fishing boat near the New Hampshire coast. Brothers Colin and Wyatt Yager, both Maine natives, said they were fishing about a half-mile off the coast of Rye, New Hampshire – about 10 miles southwest of Portsmouth Harbor – when the whale first appeared. Incredible moment two giant whales 'protect' diver from bloodthirsty shark Portsmouth Harbor is located about 50 miles northeast of Boston, Massachusetts. Colin quickly took out his phone to film the whale, eager to get the sighting on camera. "I had my fishing rod right here, phone in my hand, and just saw it go up, and was just lucky enough to be facing the right direction," Colin said, as reported by ABC affiliate WMUR. Colin's brother Wyat was shocked at what happened next. "I saw it come up, and I was just like, 'Oh no, it's going to hit the boat!' and then it started to flip," Wyatt Yager said. They watched as the whale emerged from the water, crashing on top of a nearby fishing boat. The brothers jumped into action to help rescue two individuals on board, who had fallen into the water as their boat capsized. At least one of the two fishermen was wearing a lifejacket, according to reports. "When I turned, the whale's head was already landing on the engine," said fisherman Greg Paquette. "So when I saw that, then all of a sudden, I look down, the boat is pitching up, the transom is going down into the water." The other fisherman on board, Ryland Kenney, called the experience "surreal." "Everything seemed like in slow motion. It was really weird," he said. "Everyone was like, 'Oh, it was eight seconds. How'd you move so fast?' But it was almost slow motion, like a movie." 5 The incident went down in Barnegat Bay in New Jersey Credit: Facebook/Kim Mancini

My lover wants to be with me but she's terrified of how her domineering and abusive husband will react

DEAR DEIDRE: EVEN though my married lover wants to be with me full time, she is terrified about how her husband will react if she leaves him. He is a violent bully. Her husband is domineering and abusive. He treats her and her eight-year-old son like dirt. He controls everything. She has given up seeing her friends, he constantly checks her phone and she has lost contact with all of her family. I am 33, she is 31 and I can't tell you how upset I get when she tells me about how he shouts, shoves and lashes out at her. She works for my sister's catering business and from the moment I was introduced to her I liked her. We'd always spend our lunchtime together and I would feel so excited about seeing her. Recently I bought her a small gift when I went on holiday. I was taken aback when she dissolved into tears explaining it was the loveliest thing a man had done for her. We ended up kissing and she started coming around to my house whenever she could. She can't ever stay for long enough but we have the most wonderful sex. My sister warned me to stay away because her husband has a bad reputation, she said he was capable of anything, but I refused to listen, and the affair has continued. I am desperate for my lover to leave this awful man. While she wants to be with me too, she is so frightened that he will become physically violent towards her. Dear Deidre After Dark- Understanding open relationships I worry I am being weak because I haven't stood up to him, even though I know that her safety has to come first DEIDRE SAYS: Stay away from him. Getting involved will only create more problems and place your lover in danger. She needs to make leaving him a priority for herself and her son, but it has to come from her. It's so damaging for her son to see his mum being treated so badly. Stress this to her and suggest she talks to the National Domestic Abuse Helpline ( 0800 2000 247). While you can be there to support her, she has a better chance of leaving safely if she doesn't rush straight into a relationship with you. Even a marriage she is desperate to be out of is a loss and she'll need to adjust before she can begin to contemplate a future with you. Get in touch with Deidre Every problem gets a personal reply, usually within 24 hours weekdays. Send an email to deardeidre@ You can also send a private message on the DearDeidreOfficial Facebook page. PARTNER PREFERS HIMSELF DEAR DEIDRE: MY boyfriend has admitted he pleasures himself three or four times a week, and now I feel he doesn't fancy me as we rarely have sex. He blames his low sex drive on being stressed but he has always been like this. I'm 35 and he's 36. We've been together for eight months. Everything else in our relationship is great. We only see each other on weekends, which could be part of the problem. We're both so busy with our jobs, fitness and friends. For example, I go to the gym twice a week and go out with my girlfriends regularly. My boyfriend insists his low sex drive is because of his new job. It's very stressful but he's no different to how he was when I first met him. Now I realise he masturbates so much, I'm convinced he doesn't fancy me, rather than there being a problem with his sex drive. DEIDRE SAYS: There's not much wrong with his sex drive. It sounds like he has got into the habit of finding sexual satisfaction alone, which is lazy and selfish. He needs to face up to what is happening rather than using stress as an excuse. Tell him how damaging his behaviour is to your relationship. Suggest setting aside an evening together each week for chat, kisses and cuddles with no pressure to have full sex, even though that could be the likely result. My support pack Different Sex Drives will help. I GHOSTED HER AFTER PERIOD SEX DEAR DEIDRE: A FRIEND pointed out that I had blood on my hands and face when I returned home after spending the night with an amazing girl. I'm mortified. I also had it down below too. I am a 20-year-old guy, and she is 19. We really fancied each other and after dancing together for hours headed back to her flat where, after a lot of kissing, we ended up having amazing sex. The lights were really dim so I didn't notice anything and after sex I stayed the night but left first thing without waking her up as I had work. As soon as I got home my friend told me about the blood. I am so embarrassed. I know a period is such a natural thing but I am way too embarrassed to contact her. I have heard nothing from her either. DEIDRE SAYS: She may be just as embarrassed as you or upset that you left without a word. Why not send her a message? Say you had an amazing time with her and that you would like to see her again. As you say, periods are completely natural and if you act in a mature way, she's more likely to feel at ease. Some people find period sex uncomfortable because it's messy, but you don't have to go into details about that night. It will be easier to say something in passing when you are together face-to-face. DREAM TO WED BUT BOYFRIEND'S SO CRUEL TO ME DEAR DEIDRE: ALL I want is to get married and have a family. I constantly fantasise about my boyfriend proposing but deep down I know he won't – ever. Years ago, I was told that I would have difficulty getting pregnant. I am 32 and my boyfriend is 36. We've been together for almost three years. He says he doesn't want to marry or have children. Recently, he has twice tried to break up with me. I'm sure it's because I have gained weight – something I am not proud of – but I am dieting and have started running and going to the gym. He knows I am making an effort but he also says that I don't keep the house as tidy as he'd like. I work full-time and often do overtime so there isn't a lot of time for housework. Most days I only have enough energy to come home, eat and get a decent night's sleep. I feel as though I walk on eggshells around him and it is beginning to get me down. A few weeks ago, I met a man at work who is so kind and makes me feel lovely. I know it is early days, and we are still getting to know each other, but ultimately I am going to have to choose. Which way should I go? DEIDRE SAYS: After three years together, it is only natural you are thinking about the future, but marriage and children are not the main issue here. To be blunt, he is being cruel. These are not the actions of a loving and respectful partner. There are serious issues that need to be discussed honestly if you're going to build a future. Let him know how his behaviour leaves you feeling, but don't stay in a relationship where you're permanently on edge. Do decide what you really want before involving yourself with another man.

FLIGHT RIDDLE Mystery as plane VANISHES mid-air above ocean as major search underway near Tasmania A SMALL plane carrying the pilot and one passenger has shockingly vanished while flying to Australia. It was carrying the pilot, said to be in his 70s, and a female passenger in her 60s. The pair, described as a couple, are said to be both Tasmanian residents and were travelling to visit friends - and were headed to Hillston Airport in Condobolin, New South Wales. A desperate search was launched after both passengers failed to reach their destination. Advertisement Authorities in Tasmania said: "The plane did not reach its destination as scheduled, and authorities were notified by concerned family members that it was overdue. "As a result, a search operation involving plane, helicopter and marine resources was activated." The Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA) said it was "currently coordinating the search for a missing light aircraft with two people onboard, near Tasmania". It said: "Just after 5pm on Saturday evening, concern was raised after the aircraft failed to land in Central Western NSW, after departing George Town, Tasmania at around 12:45 pm." Advertisement AMSA said search efforts were underway "across northern Tasmania around George Town, over the Bass Strait and southern Victoria around Morwell and Leongatha, supported by vessels from Victoria Police". Tasmania Police Inspector Nick Clark said the pilot was very experienced but was flying a plane "relatively new to him", the Daily Mail reports. He added: "We are hoping to find these people alive, that's the main focus of the search." He urged the public to look out for aircraft debris and help the authorities. Advertisement The cop added: "Keep a lookout for any debris or something as simple as a life jacket or some aeroplane parts to contact AMSA or Tasmania Police. "We stress that if you find some people in the water and it's safe to do so, please render them assistance." More to follow...
