Derry City beaten by Waterford despite Boyce goal

Derry City fell to a 2-1 defeat in the Premier Division away to Waterford at the RSC.
Darragh Leahy bundled home the opener minutes before the break to send the hosts in 1-0 ahead at half-time.
The host's talisman Padraig Amond doubled their lead just past the hour.
City replied late on through Liam Boyce, but Tiernan Lynch's side stay sixth in the table as their two-game winning run ground to a halt.
The Candystripes side were also beaten 2-1 when these sides met at the Ryan McBride Brandywell Stadium back in February but both teams have been in contrasting form since.
Waterford came into tonight's game off the back of seven straight defeats in a run that cost manager Kevin Long his job and saw the Blues plummet into the relegation play-off place.

Next for Derry is a double header at the Ryan McBride Brandywell Stadium, first hosting Shelbourne next Friday before welcoming St. Patrick's to Foyleside three days later.
