Tara Sutaria, Huma Qureshi, and Akshay Oberoi left everyone on the set of Yash starrer Toxic stunned with their dedication to performing full-fledged stunts themselves.
The excitement surrounding Toxic, slated to be the biggest action spectacle of 2026 is only getting more intense. This high-energy action drama, led by superstar Yash, features an impressive cast including Akshay Oberoi, Tara Sutaria, Huma Qureshi, and others. The excitement has reached new heights with the news that all main actors, including the fierce female leads, are performing their own stunts.
Sources close to the production confirm that Toxic is crafted as a gritty and impactful action film, with the creators insisting on authentic, raw action scenes carried out by the actors themselves, under the strict guidance of a professional stunt and action team.
Akshay Oberoi, known for his dedication to physically demanding roles, has been intensely training for months. Alongside him, Yash, who has redefined mass action cinema, is also performing his stunts, ensuring a thrilling visual experience for viewers. Tara Sutaria and Huma Qureshi are also engaging in physically challenging sequences, showcasing remarkable determination and pushing boundaries for action heroines in Indian cinema.
Discussing the film's intense action scenes, a production source said, 'Akshay Oberoi and Yash are performing major action set-pieces themselves, no doubles. And it's not just the male leads. Tara Sutaria and Huma Qureshi have shocked everyone on set with their dedication to training and pulling off full-fledged stunts. The action in Toxic is brutal, slick, and grounded and every actor is giving it their all."
With its adrenaline-fueled scenes, powerful performances, and a cast committed to performing their own stunts, Toxic is set to redefine action cinema in India. Scheduled for release in 2026, it remains one of the industry's most talked-about projects.
Meanwhile, Mid-Day recently reported that Yash is shooting for Toxic in Mumbai with Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria and Akshay Oberoi. 'Last Monday, the new schedule kicked off in Film City, Goregaon. It will be largely indoors, where the actors will perform their stunts without the help of body doubles. It includes many sequences that involve hand-to-hand combat," a source cited by the news portal claimed. Besides this, a team of experts has also been hired, which is helping Yash in making his acting sequences raw and brutal.
Jointly produced by Venkat K. Narayana and Yash under KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations, Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-ups is being directed by Geetu Mohandas.

Kingdom Box Office: Vijay Deverakonda starrer collects 44cr worldwide in 2 days
Telugu film Kingdom held moderately well on its second day at the Indian box office, grossing Rs. 9.50 crore approx. The two-day running total of the Vijay Deverakonda starrer is Rs. 27.75 crore approx. The film has collected another Rs. 16 crore (USD 1.85 million) overseas, giving it a worldwide gross of Rs. 43.75 crore. The film is expected to see a surge in business today and again on Sunday. If the growth on the weekend is good, it could aim for Rs. 55 crore extended weekend in India and Rs. 75 crore worldwide. The Day Wise Box Office Collections of Kingdom in India are as follows: While the box office numbers so far are not bad, the high production costs demanded a far stronger opening and a steadier hold. The film now needs to get that big growth on the weekend and then sustain well from there on. This isn't typically associated with Telugu films, which are usually very front-loaded, but that is exactly what Kingdom requires. There are also dubbed versions, which can often lend a helping hand in case of higher investment, but they haven't done so. Tamil has managed some numbers, not enough to make a real impact, while Hindi is a washout. Overseas, the film did well on its North American premiere but hasn't sustained well with collections coming down on the following two days. The Territorial Breakdown for Kingdom is as follows:

Viewers split as Aamir Khan takes Sitaare Zameen Par to YouTube instead of OTT
Every time takes a professional call, it tends to split the crowd – fans, followers, and critics alike. His latest controversy? The YouTube release of Sitaare Zameen Par. At the time of its release, Aamir had stated his film would not be released on any OTT/digital platform. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now His stand was widely appreciated as it seemed to prioritise the larger interests of a struggling industry and audiences over his role as producer and actor. With the film doing well in multiplexes, he was felicitated for his seemingly charitable move. Cut to a press conference on July 30, Aamir announced that Sitaare Zameen Par would be released on YouTube under a pay-per-view model for just `100 and had apparently turned down a `100-crore offer from a streaming platform for the digital rights of his film. This decision has divided netizens and stakeholders on the ground. Some are accusing Aamir of misleading the audience and disrupting the industry's conventional release model: theatrical release first, followed by OTT for home viewing. Others are defending him, claiming YouTube is the original – and still the largest – OTT platform, and that offering the film as a paid title post-theatrical run is a bold, innovative step rather than a betrayal. Hansal Mehta in fact has lauded his approach, as it gives him greater 'creative control'. A timeline of Aamir's stance on OTT release March 9: Speaking against the prevailing OTT-first mentality, Aamir had said, 'We're telling our consumers that you can come and consume our product (film). If you don't, we'll bring it to you in eight weeks (through OTT platforms ), when it will be free of cost as you've already paid for it (through subscription). Tired of too many ads? go ad free now I don't know how to sell a product twice. Earlier, I used to watch movies because I had no option. Now, it's dependent on a fancy for films. So we've killed our own business model.' June 19: Multiplex Association of India (MAI) praised Aamir. 'Aamir Khan has always been a filmmaker who puts the audience first. His decision to bring Sitaare Zameen Par exclusively to cinemas is a significant show of confidence in theatres and the shared magic of the moviegoing experience. Indian exhibitors thank Aamir Khan for standing by theatres,' said Kamal Gianchandani, President of MAI. July 3: In response to his felicitation by theatre owners, Aamir told ANI,'Since I haven't sold the OTT rights and our film is not releasing on OTT, isliye shayad All India Theatre Owners have decided to felicitate me for the step that I have taken. I am happy that they thought about it.' July 30: Aamir apologised for the YouTube release at the press conference. For bypassing OTT giants, he said, 'When I release a film after 8 weeks on a subscription model, people aren't buying my film. They're only subscribing to the OTT platform. It wouldn't matter if a person wants to watch the film or doesn't after subscribing to the platform. It has always been my dream to reach every Indian at a reasonable price so they can afford it,' he added. On his YouTube strategy, he told PTI, 'This is my private cinema chain. Think of it like Aamir Khan Productions has opened a new cinema chain, which is in everyone's house and in everyone's pocket... And that is why I am doing this. I got good offers from OTT channels. But I don't want those ₹100–125 crore from OTT channels. I want to earn ₹100 from my audience. I prefer that more.'
