Where is the Forty Seven hotel?
At Forty-Seven Peter street, located in a former shipping warehouse, the bold and contemporary interior design patterns contrast the more traditional heritage architecture surrounding the hotel, found in the heart of Manchester.
The hotel is situated just a 6 minute drive from Manchester Piccadilly station.
What is the hotel like?
The boutique hotel is in a Grade II-listed Lancashire House on the bustling Peter Street.
It's within easy reach of the best Manchester has to offer, from art and culture to food and nightlife.
What are the rooms like?
There are 32 rooms spread over five floors. I enjoyed a Cosy King room with a king-sized bed. Decor features deep greens and striking furnishings, with teals set against bare brick.
Rooms are compact and cosy. The bed was one of the comfiest we've ever slept in.
Other thoughtful touches include a high-spec espresso machine and a hidden ironing board that folds out a full-length mirror.
All rooms provide specially appointed luxury fittings to compliment the modern furnishings, making an alluring space to call home for the night.
Rooms range from the Cosy King Room to the Forty-Seven Suite, starting from £129 per night. For more information, click here.
What is there to eat and drink there?
Check out Ashas's- a modern, upmarket Indian restaurant on the hotel's ground floor that is a Manchester favourite.
You'll find traditional Indian cuisine plus more modern takes.
Choose between a pre-theatre set menu, a la carte or a tasting menu for a fine dining experience.
Be sure to stay for breakfast- an Indian twist on the classics.
I had a tasty full English with egg and bacon wrap, spicy sausages and crispy hash browns.

What else is there to do at the hotel?
The hotel is perfectly placed for exploring Manchester's buzzing nightlife.
Grab a drink at the Peterman, the hotel's cosy cocktail lounge, before heading off to explore the city.
You're just a few minutes walk from 20 stories, the city's best rooftop bar, N64 retro arcade bar and Schofield's, which features in a list of the world's 50 best bars.
Peter street has something for everyone, home to exhibitions and late night gigs, brilliant shopping and architecture brimming with culture.
It is also trademarked as a hotspot for foodies, with its hip bars and fine-dining restaurants to cosy coffee shops.
Is the hotel family-friendly?
The hotel can accommodate families, with two bedroom suites available, and a children's menu provided upon request at Asha's restaurant.
But Forty-Seven generally lends itself to more adult clientele as it aims to provide an elevated and sophisticated experience for its guests.
Is there access for guests with disabilities?
Yes, the Forty-Seven is an accessible hotel, providing accommodations and facilities for those with disabilities.

EasyJet completes roll out of modern navigation software
EasyJet has completed the installation of new navigation software on 54 aircraft to ease collaboration with air traffic control (ATC) staff. The UK's biggest airline said the system shares real time aircraft trajectory information with ATC providers, helping create more efficient route calculations. The future air navigation system-C (Fans-C) software also involves instructions from ATC controllers to pilots – such as 'climb to 36,000 feet' – to be relayed by text rather than radio, reducing the chances of misunderstandings or hold-ups. EasyJet said it has retrofitted the programme on all 54 of its A320 and A321 neo family planes. The carrier's new jets rolling off the Airbus assembly line are equipped with the technology as standard. EasyJet said the software has saved it 334 tonnes of fuel since it began using it in 2019. It said last month French ATC disruption was responsible for the majority of its delays this summer. David Morgan, chief operating officer at easyJet, said: 'Technologies like Fans-C are not only essential for the modernisation of airspace, they will be critical in helping deliver meaningful reductions in fuel, carbon emissions and noise pollution. 'To maximise the potential of these technologies, it's critical that airspace reform is finally delivered, and this means more direct routes to help reduce congestion and delays. 'The UK Government has taken positive steps to redesign UK airspace – we now need those plans delivered swiftly here and across Europe so we can properly harness these technologies and capitalise on the environmental benefits they will deliver.' The Department for Transport and the Civil Aviation Authority are establishing a group of aviation experts to work with UK airports on modernising airspace. It is hoped this UK Airspace Design Service will launch by the end of the year. A radar-related issue was blamed for a UK ATC failure by provider Nats on July 30 which forced the cancellation of more than 150 flights, disrupting thousands of passengers.

Travellers ride horses through river as hundreds descend on tiny village for Britain's biggest pony & trap drive
TRAVELLERS were spotted riding horses through a river as hundreds descended on a tiny village for Britain's biggest pony and trap drive. Groups were seen in Brockenhurst - one of the New Forest's top beauty spots - as they plunged their horses and carts into a river as families, who were soaking up sunshine on the bank, watched on. 6 6 6 Young guys riding bareback charged in formation up and down the river as part of a tradition to cool their horses after a pony and trap drive through the Forest. It was the dramatic finale of the Tracy Cooper New Forest Drive, the biggest of its kind in the UK, which has been going for over 20 years. Yesterday's cool down came after temperatures hit sizzling point, with some unhappy locals saying the ponies should not be out in such heat. Animal welfare officers were present on the riverbank at the Balmer Lawn in Brockenhurst where scenes resembled the world-famous Appleby Horse Fair. At one stage, one officer shouted at two young riders to 'stop with the whip', adding: 'Stop whipping the horse' when they tried to urge their horse on with one. Riders were also prevented from riding the animals up and down roads with police waving them down and telling them to go back to the river bank. The car park at the popular family bathing spot had been closed off from Saturday evening and all day Sunday with warnings that an event would be taking place there today. But the sudden appearance of hundreds of pony and traps – their numbers three times bigger than the previous day – at the site took some unsuspecting families by surprise. Some goggle-eyed guests from the nearby Balmer Lawn Hotel who had been enjoying a post-Sunday lunch stroll beat a hasty retreat as the horses descended. Despite this, there were excited shouts from children as the riders roared into the river with water being splashed everywhere. Travellers ride horses through river & speed along in carriages at Appleby fair Young girls joined in the ride, with some getting soaked to their skin and even babies were taken for a trot – sitting in front of a parent on the horse. Kids as young as five plummeted off the river bank on ponies into the water – laughing gleefully as they did. After the horses had had a swim, they were put into shade under trees and given food and water. The river cooldown is the finale of the event, which this year took place under the watchful eye of a temporary security tower bristling with CCTV and dozens of police officers. 6 6 6 Last year, the area was scattered with broken glass and metal screws by angry locals who have called for the drive to be banned. As The Sun revealed yesterday, this year the local council has joined forces with Hampshire Police and Forestry England to ensure the event was kept under control. Standing watching the cooldown was Inspector Darren Ord of Hampshire Police who said he was pleased with how the drive had gone, saying: 'We have engaged with the community to ensure that everything is done with safety and security. 'So far it has gone very successfully. It was important to allow the event to go ahead while also ensuring the safety of the local community.' He said it had also been important that the welfare of the horses involved in the drive was looked after, which appeared to be the case. As the horses dried off, the travellers tucked into burgers from a van operated by Tracy Cooper who said she was 'absolutely delighted' with how her event had gone this year. She said: 'Mine is the only traveller drive in England which has a permit, permission and public liability insurance. 'It is the only one in England that tries to do it the right way. This year has been fantastic, but I won't rest until the last traveller and pony has got home safely.'

Molly-Mae shows off her incredible figure in a black bikini while on family holiday in Turkey with boyfriend Tommy Fury and daughter Bambi
Molly-Mae showed off her incredible bikini body as she gave fans a further insight into her fun-filled family holiday to Turkey with Tommy and Bambi on Sunday. The influencer, 26, posted a series of holiday snaps on Instagram that began with her showcasing her curves in a black two-piece bikini as she carried daughter Bambi, two, in the pool at the five-star Regnum The Crown hotel. Her assets were put on full display in the strappy bikini as she struck a mermaid-like pose below an artificial waterfall while enjoying a dip in the pool The Love Island alumni, who reunited with Tommy Fury, 26, in May following their split, happily made the most of the trip with her young family. Molly Mae also appeared to be enjoying local cuisine and was pictured sightseeing at The Land of Legends Theme Park. The influencer simply captioned the snaps: 'A summer story.' Fans were quick to praise the family holiday snaps, writing: 'so lovely seeing you back together and enjoying time as a family. Lots of hugs x'; 'You look incredible.'; 'Time to get the ring back on…perfect family.'' 'I can see bambi getting endorsements soon [sic].' The post comes after Molly-Mae recently hit the headlines after claiming that she hasn't done 'one fun thing' all summer. 'I haven't socialised once,' she told her older sister Zoe in a recent YouTube vlog. 'I haven't done one social, fun thing... I haven't a life.' The globe-trotting influencer added: 'I haven't a life. I haven't a life. It's not good. 'It's all kids related, if it's not work and kids I am not doing anything. It's not good. The post comes after Molly-Mae recently hit the headlines after claiming that she hasn't done 'one fun thing' all summer She stressed: 'Oh my gosh, I don't remember the last time I did my hair and makeup and put an outfit on for something that wasn't work related. 'I don't do anything. Lets normalise it. For the girls that are going to get to the end of summer and not done one fun thing.' However Molly-Mae did accept that her recent trip to Wimbledon, during which she did indeed wear make-up and a £3,000 Dior dress, was a 'fun' occasion. She said: 'No that's a lie because people are going to say "You went to London in your last vlog and had a ball," and I did. Unsurprisingly, Molly-Mae's latest comments didn't go down well with her two million-plus YouTube subscribers, with many claiming she was 'out of touch', 'tone-deaf' and 'always moaning'. The influencer started strong this summer by signing a seven-figure deal with consumer goods firm Unilever and starring in a new campaign for its detergent brand, Persil and Comfort, in May.
