Bowers, Miller shine as Dockers power away from Port
The margin was just five points in favour of Fremantle early in the final quarter after Port forward Katelyn Pope shook off two tacklers to kick truly.
Whether Fremantle could hold on against the breeze was a huge question, but they needn't have worried.

Miller caught Shineah Goody holding the ball close to goal to extend the margin back out to 11, before Gabrielle Biedenweg-Webster tumble-turned her way free of a tackler before popping up to kick another.
Sunday's 7.4 (46) to 3.6 (24) win was sealed when Miller kicked her third goal late in the match, sparking celebrations among the Dockers.
Bowers missed all of last season due to pregnancy, but it was like she never left as she compiled 22 disposals, six clearances and 14 tackles as she celebrated her 50-game milestone in style.
Gabby Newton (22 disposals) was also huge in what was also her 50th game, while captain Angelique Stannett kicked two goals in her return from a knee reconstruction.
Stannett's leadership was on full display in the third quarter when she pulled off three consecutive smothers.
"That is the reason she's the skipper. She's amazing," Bowers told Fox Footy.
"I love these girls, and I loved watching them win last year, but it's definitely nice to be out here with them.
"This group is special, and hopefully I keep winning with them."
Port ruck Matilda Scholz (25 hitouts, seven clearances, 12 disposals) won her tap duel against All-Australian Mim Strom (16 hitouts, two clearances, 17 disposals).
Justine Mules-Robinson kicked two goals for the Power.
Port were dealt a blow late in the first quarter when Amelie Borg suffered a game-ending injury to her left ankle, with the defender seen on crutches a short time later.
Fremantle forward Tunisha Kikoak was concussed in the second quarter after copping a heavy hit in a marking contest.
The Dockers made a flying start to the match courtesy of goals to former skipper Miller and current captain Stannett.
The second quarter lit up when Port's Goody delivered a huge bump on Sarah Verrier.

Verrier popped straight back up to gain her revenge, and a heated wrestle soon followed.
Fremantle opened up a 17-point lead early in the third term when Megan Kauffman snapped truly.
But with Scholz giving Port's midfielders silver-spoon service, the home side closed to within a kick early in the final quarter, before Miller and company brutally slammed the door shut.

Joe Flacco was obvious QB1 pick, but plenty still needs to be settled in Browns' QB room
There were attempts to manufacture some drama over the Cleveland Browns' starting quarterback decision, but it was the exact outcome we've all known for months. Joe Flacco is the starter. No surprise at all. Thankfully, there's still plenty of actual drama to be sorted out in the Browns' quarterback room. Flacco will start in Week 1 but one look at an absolutely brutal six-game stretch to start the season indicates that it might not be a long-term solution. Cleveland is very likely to use more than one quarterback this season. But due to injuries and an odd four-man derby at quarterback, which was created when the team made the unconventional decision to draft two quarterbacks in the middle rounds, it's uncertain what the order will be behind Flacco. And there's just one more preseason game to go. Joe Flacco expected to play Saturday The Browns have indicated they plan to play Flacco some in the preseason finale. Stefanski wants to use this week to simulate a regular-season week, and to do that he wanted his quarterback in place. Not that anyone paying attention thought it would be anyone but Flacco. So Flacco will play some, but presumably not too much. That means there will be some evaluation time for Kenny Pickett, Dillon Gabriel and Shedeur Sanders, though that's complicated too. Pickett hasn't played yet in the preseason due to a hamstring injury, but he did practice last week and presumably will be ready to play by Saturday. Sanders' status is unknown after he suffered an oblique injury in warmups before a joint practice last Wednesday. Gabriel, who missed the first preseason game, got the start with Sanders sitting last week. So Flacco hasn't played yet because he was the veteran starter who didn't need preseason reps in the first two games, Pickett hasn't played at all due to injury, Gabriel missed one game and Sanders missed one game. That makes the final decisions on the depth chart a little more challenging. Who will be Browns' backup? From all accounts, the depth chart at Browns camp has been fairly static. Flacco has been treated as the starter. Pickett has missed a lot of camp but there's no indication he's not second in line. Gabriel has been third and, even after a very good showing in Cleveland's first preseason game, Sanders has been fourth. That doesn't mean that is Stefanski's final answer on the depth chart. Gabriel played well last week aside from one pick-6, showing a good understanding of the offense and delivering passes accurately. Sanders' talent level was well above his status as a fifth-round pick, and he showed it in his one preseason game. The Browns will first need to decide how many quarterbacks to keep. It's very rare for a team to keep four, but it's an unusual situation. It doesn't seem likely a team would trade for Pickett, Flacco is already named the starter and trading Gabriel or Sanders a few months after trading them seems unlikely. Then, if the Browns do keep four, Stefanski has to order them. If Flacco gets benched, that's when the order will matter. And if Pickett is up next, the order between Gabriel and Sanders will matter if he gets benched later in the season. Perhaps some of that gets settled in Saturday's preseason finale. We know Flacco will be the Browns' starter to begin the season. The rest still seems unsettled.

Hollywood Brown returns to practice
Wide receiver Hollywood Brown missed an extended period of time this summer with an injury to his ankle and foot, but the Chiefs have him back on the field. Head coach Andy Reid said at a Monday press conference that Brown did some work in practice on Sunday and that the plan is for him to continue working on Monday. The Chiefs plan to play their starters in their final preseason game and Reid said that there's been no decision about whether Brown could be among them. "We'll see how he progresses through this thing," Reid said, via Nate Taylor of not a matter of want. He wants to do it. He's taking it slow and we don't want any setbacks." Brown was limited to five games last season, so it's easy to understand why the Chiefs want to avoid further absences. Given the uncertainty about how long Rashee Rice will be available, it's all the more important for Brown to be on the field this fall.

Almere City midfielder returns to the Eredivisie with Telstar loan
Telstar have signed Jochem Ritmeester van de Kamp on loan from Almere City for one season. A purchase option is not included in the deal. Ritmeester van de Kamp (21) was a key player for Almere City. However, the club has now cooperated on a loan deal. 'We've agreed with Jochem that, in combination with a multi-year contract extension, he has the option to be loaned out to an Eredivisie club for a season in the event of relegation,' explains technical manager Chiel Dekker. 'Jochem is now exercising this option with this temporary move to Telstar. We wish him the best of luck there and will welcome him back to Almere with open arms next summer.' Earlier this summer, captain van de Kamp attracted interest from NAC Breda and even reached a personal agreement with the Brabant club. However, NAC had pushed for a loan deal with an option to buy, and Almere City declined. At Telstar, the youth international, who has played 56 matches in the Dutch top flight so far, will return to the Eredivisie. GBeNeFN | Max Bradfield
