Nykaa Best in Beauty 2025 Biggest Beauty Winners
With over 1.6 million votes casted, a star-studded jury, and categories that capture today's beauty zeitgeist, NBIB 2025 is where innovation, influence, and India's voice take center stage. From March 24 to May 10, the Nykaa app became India's ultimate beauty ballot box, where the process was simple: log in, explore nominees across 58 categories, and vote for your ride-or-die favourites. Hair, skin, makeup, and new hits like 'Viral Products'and the 'Impact Award', every tap crowned 2025's beauty best. When voting closed, our powerhouse jury of experts stepped in, merging what India loves with what the industry lives for, to crown the year's most iconic winners.
This year's winners didn't just fly off shelves; they left warehouses empty, gave stocking crews a serious workout, and kept delivery teams busier than a wedding season mehendi artist. It's a celebration of products winning not just in carts, but in hearts and vanities across the country. And this year, the message is loud and clear: the future of Indian beauty is being shaped by real people, real routines, and real results.
Alongside the massive vote count, a panel of respected experts rigorously evaluated the entries across 50+ categories. The jury brought together a cross-section of beauty and cultural tastemakers: Celebrity Hair Stylist – Aanchal Morwani, Content Creator – Aashna Hegde, Actor – Aditi Bhatia, Executive Director and CEO, Nykaa Beauty – Anchit Nayar, Co-founder of Daniel Bauer Academy – Daniel Bauer, Dermatologist – Dr. Malvika Kohli, Jewellery Designer & Reality TV Star – Maheep Kapoor, Beauty and Wellness Editor – Shagun Khanna, Bollywood's Rising star – Sharvari, and Celebrity Photographer – Taras Taraporvala evaluated the entries.
Commenting on the awards, Anchit Nayar, Executive Director & CEO, Nykaa Beauty said, 'The Nykaa Best in Beauty Awards are a reflection of something far greater than product excellence; they honour the evolving relationship between Indian consumers and the beauty brands they choose to champion. As we celebrate the second edition, we're witnessing a remarkable shift: what were once cult discoveries have now earned a place in daily rituals, and bold, breakthrough brands are rewriting the rules with every launch. At Nykaa, we're proud to be the platform where these transformations unfold, where quality meets curiosity, and trust meets trend. This journey is made possible by our incredible brand partners who continue to push the boundaries of innovation and our consumers who continue to push them! Congratulations to this year's winners, each one a testament to what modern beauty in India truly looks like.'
The winners capture the pulse of Indias evolving beauty habits. Dewy skin tints edged out heavy foundations, ceramide-rich moisturisers dethroned one-size-fits-all creams, and lip oils and vinyl lipsticks stole the show from traditional mattes. The fragrance category saw an uptick in skin scents and gourmand notes, while SPF-infused everything proved sun protection has officially become chic.
What the winners reveal about the next wave in Indian beauty:
Skincare meets makeup: Smashbox Halo Tinted Moisturizer leading tint-meets-treat ambitions, a base product that works as hard for your skin as it does for your glow.
K-Beauty is beauty, full stop: LANEIGE's Bouncy Sleeping Mask and Lip Glowy Balm, plus TIRTIR's Mask Fit Red Cushion Foundation and I'm From Rice Toner, are proof that Korean beauty has moved from cult curiosity to everyday staple.
Barrier-care is now a beauty baseline: CeraVe and Dot & Key with ceramide-rich, skin-fortifying favourites, because healthy skin is the new trend.
Primer is the new power step : e.l.f. Power Grip Primer officially turned prep into an act of rebellion – for glowy, long-lasting makeup that doesn't budge.
DIY luxury with Indian roots: Kay Beauty's Velvet Creme Blush, Hydra Creme Lipstick, and Matte HD Loose Powder show that home-grown can exceed global when prestige meets affordability.
Swipes matter: Maybelline's Sky High Mascara and Instant Age Rewind Concealer are proof that drugstore staples still write the consumer love story.

Saare Jahan Se Accha true story: Is Pratik Gandhi's Netflix series linked to India-Pakistan relations & Homi Bhabha's death?

Netflix has unveiled its intriguing new series Saare Jahan Se Accha, starring Pratik Gandhi in the lead. The show has already created quite a buzz, with its storyline hinting at India-Pakistan tensions and significant historical events. This has left viewers wondering, does it draw from real-life incidents, or is it purely a gripping work of fiction? Saare Jahan Se Accha true story: Is Pratik Gandhi's Netflix show tied to India-Pakistan tensions and Homi Bhabha's death? First things first, Saare Jahan Se Accha isn't a direct retelling of one particular real-life event. The series is a work of fiction, but it takes creative inspiration from various historical moments. While some parts of the storyline are loosely rooted in reality, the narrative is ultimately dramatized to build intrigue and entertainment. What events is it loosely based on? Set in the politically charged 1970s, Saare Jahan Se Accha captures the tense relationship between India and Pakistan during the nuclear race. The story follows an Indian spy caught between family and duty, while facing a determined rival on the other side. Exploring themes of patriotism, deception, intelligence, and identity, the series blends fiction with real historical events to portray how unseen strategic and political forces shape individual lives. The show draws inspiration from key moments in history, India's first nuclear test in 1974 under Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, the mysterious death of nuclear physicist Homi J. Bhabha in a 1966 plane crash (hinting at foreign involvement), and the Indo-Pak War of 1971. It also touches upon the establishment of RAW, India's intelligence agency. By weaving these milestones into a dramatized narrative, the makers present a gripping tale of espionage and diplomacy set against the larger backdrop of the Cold War. Who all star in Saare Jahan Se Accha? Pratik Gandhi's Saare Jahan Se Accha is one of the most awaited series of Independence Day week, designed to evoke a strong sense of patriotism. The show also boasts a powerhouse cast, featuring Tillotama Shome, Sunny Hinduja, Anup Soni, Suhail Nayyar, Kritika Kamra, and Rajat Kapoor. Created by Gaurav Shukla and produced by Bombay Fables, the series brings together seasoned performers to deliver a compelling story of courage and intrigue.

This actress debuted alongside Tabu, quit her career after marrying an '80s star only to get divorced, died of cancer like her legendary mother-in-law

Sanjay Dutt appears to be a happily married man today with his wife Maanayata Dutt and their twins, Iqra and Shehran. However, not many know that Maanayata is actually his third wife. Dutt's second marriage, to air-hostess-turned-model Rhea Pillai, lasted a decade (1998–2008). His first marriage to Richa Sharma, meanwhile, is remembered as a more tragic chapter in his life. Born in 1964 in Delhi, Richa Sharma soon moved to New York with her family. However, she continued to harbour a love for Hindi cinema in the US. A huge fan of late legendary actor Dev Anand, she met him in America and expressed her desire to work as an actor in Hindi films. Dev, however, explained to her that she was only 13-14 years old then, but when the time is right, he'd launch her in a Bollywood movie. Then came his 1985 directorial Hum Naujawan, for which Dev Anand auditioned and eventually selected Richa Sharma for her debut role. Interestingly, the film also marked the debut of Tabu, who continues to work as a formidable leading lady in Indian films today. Her breakthrough paved the way for her to star in films like Insaaf Ki Awaaz (1986), Sadak Chhap (1987), and Anubhav (1987). Richa began dating Sanjay Dutt, who was at the peak of his career, soon after her debut. After he proposed to her, she was hesitant that her parents would accept their relationship, given Sanjay's reputation of being a womanizer and a drug addict. However, the Khal Nayak actor promised to be a better man, following which the two tied the knot in 1987. A year later, they became parents to daughter Trishala Dutt. The happiest news of their married life was followed closely by the saddest news — Richa Sharma was diagnosed with cancer. It was a cruel irony since Sanjay Dutt lost his mother, legendary actor Nargis, to cancer too, that too days before the release of his blockbuster debut film, Rocky (1981), directed by his father and veteran actor, Sunil Dutt. Like his father did for his mother, Sanjay also took Richa to New York to get her the best treatment. However, given he was at the peak of his career, Sanjay couldn't take enough time out to visit his wife as he continued to shoot for films he'd committed to in Mumbai. The rumours of an affair with his Khal Nayak (1993) co-star Madhuri Dixit began doing the rounds. After being declared cancer-free, Richa Sharma returned to India, but wasn't even received by Sanjay Dutt at the airport despite calling him twice, as per what her sister Ena Sharma told the media then. Initially hopeful that Sanjay would leave Madhuri to come back to Richa, she soon saw reason and moved back to New York with Trishala. Sanjay also sent her the divorce papers, much to her shock. After finalizing divorce, Richa's cancer relapsed. Sanjay was in jail then, arrested under the TADA and Arms Act after the 1993 Mumbai bomb blasts. Richa died a lonely death at the age of 32 in 1996 as Sanjay couldn't even visit her owing to his imprisonment. Their daughter Trishala was raised by her maternal aunt Ena and her maternal grandparents in New York. As per the first edition of People magazine in India, Sanjay told Trishala, 'You remind me of my youth. I love you beta.' 'He seems to be happy, and if he is happy, then I'm happy for him. If he found what he needs in her (Maanayata), then that's great,' Trishala said in the interview.

Ankita Lokhande Redefines Power Dressing In A Black Leather Ensemble

For her recent look, Ankita Lokhande took things up a notch as she stepped out in an all-black leather ensemble. She paired her look with statement jewellery. Ankita Lokhande has always been a style chameleon, seamlessly moving between traditional Indian wear and bold western silhouettes. In her latest outing, the actress exuded power, poise, and just the right dose of sultry glamour in an all-black ensemble that was both edgy and refined. Taking to her Instagram, Ankita Lokhande shared pictures of her all-black leather look. She wrote, 'To every woman who has ever been told she's too much. Too loud, too ambitious, too bold. Thank you for never dimming your light. Keep shining. The world needs more of your fire." Take a look at Ankita's OOTD here. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Ankita Lokhande (@lokhandeankita) Ankita's outfit was built on clean lines and glossy textures. She wore a strapless black leather top paired with sleek leather pants, which created a seamless head-to-toe monochrome effect. The choice of leather not only added an element of daring sensuality but also emphasised structure and confidence. The strapless neckline framed her shoulders beautifully, while the fitted silhouette elongated her figure, giving her an effortlessly statuesque presence. Paired with open-toe black heels, the look retained its minimal yet striking balance, letting the glossy finish of the outfit do most of the talking. Her accessories elevated the ensemble from strong to stellar. A diamond-encrusted choker rested gracefully on her collarbones, drawing the eye upward and adding a luxe sparkle to the otherwise dark palette. Matching anklets and bracelets tied the look together with a touch of shimmer, ensuring that the jewellery complements rather than overpowers. Rings on her fingers completed the styling. The makeup strikes the perfect harmony between boldness and sophistication. For the glam, she went with a smooth, matte base, while her contouring sculpted her face to accentuate her sharp features. Smokey eye makeup with fluttery lashes gave her gaze depth and drama, balanced with softly defined brows. Nude-toned lips kept the attention on her eyes and maintained the look's modern elegance. Her hair, pulled back into a sleek updo with a middle parting, ensures nothing distracts from her outfit and accessories, keeping the overall style polished and sharp. This look is a reminder of Ankita's evolving style sensibility. Known for her versatility, she proves that she can master the classic lehenga with the same ease as she does a fierce, contemporary leather set.
