
SHO, SI injured in violent clash during flag procession

The clash broke out during a Mahaviri flag procession, during which some miscreants began throwing stones from rooftops, also resulting in arson.
According to police, Rajepur station house officer (SHO) Radhe Shyam, and other personnel had gone to the village to mediate between the warring groups and calm the situation, were they met with hostility and stone pelting.
Senior police officers, including Muzaffarpur SSP Sushil Kumar and Rural SP Rajesh Singh Prabhakar, rushed to the scene to assess the situation and ensure peace.
A huge police force has been deployed in the area to maintain order.
Muzaffarpur SSP Kumar said a procession was taken out, during which troublemakers threw stones from rooftops. "The SHO was injured and received preliminary treatment. Another sub-inspector, along with some other personnel, received minor injuries in the stone pelting. Injured police personnel have been admitted to SKMCH. The situation is currently under control," he said.
