London teens face murder charge in assault-turned-homicide

Two teenaged boys have been charged after an assault in London turned into a homicide over the weekend.
Around 1:40 a.m. on Sunday, police got multiple 911 calls about a group of people fighting with weapons in the area of Breton park Crescent and Manitoulin Drive.
When officers arrived they found a 27-year-old man with serious life-threatening injuries he was taken to hospital by paramedics but was later pronounced deceased.
A 15-year-old boy and 17-year-old boy who cannot be named under the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act, have been jointly charged with second degree murder.
Investigators are asking anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity, heard anything unusual, or has residential or business video surveillance or dashcam footage from the area between 1 a.m. and 2 a.m. on Aug. 3, to contact the London Police Service Major Crime Section.
Police said, even the smallest piece of information could be vital to the investigation.

The collision happened near Fossil Hill Road and Saint Francis Avenue, which is north of Rutherford Road and west of Weston Road. York Regional Police said they were called to that area at 7 p.m. for reports of collision involving a motorcycle and a car. Investigators said both vehicle were travelling southbound on Fossil Hill at the time of impact. It is not known at this time how the vehicles came together or who caused the crash. Police said the driver of the car did not remain on scene. Traffic is closed in all directions in that area due to the investigation. Motorists should expect delays and use alternate route, police said.
