ABU DHABI (WAM) Emirates Driving Company, listed on the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX), announced that its General Assembly, convened on March 11, 2025, approved a cash dividend distribution to shareholders for the fiscal year ended December 31, 2024.The approved dividend is set at 34 percent of the company's share capital, amounting to a total of Dh183,164,256, equivalent to 17 fils per share, yielding a 6.25 percent return based on the closing price as of March 11, 2025.This distribution is an extension of the company's consistent approach to providing rewarding returns to shareholders and distributing cash dividends over the years.The company has maintained a stable policy of regularly and continuously sharing its successes with shareholders.The Board of Directors emphasised their commitment to further supporting the company's strategic direction and strengthening its financial and operational position by focusing on investment in modern technologies, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and human capital development.They stressed the importance of integrating efforts between the executive management and the various business units to ensure the realisation of growth objectives and expansion into new and diverse sectors and activities.
The Board members also commended the efforts made to solidify the company's leadership position in the driving education market for 25 years, and to fulfil its vision of creating a safe and responsible driving environment for the community.

Arabian Food Industries Company (Domty) generated consolidated net profits after tax attributable to the parent company valued at EGP 10.592 million in the first quarter (Q1) of 2025, according to the financial results. The recorded profits were 93.09% lower than EGP 153.302 million in Q1 2024. Earnings per share (EPS) plummeted to EGP 0.03 in Q1 2025 from EGP 0.44 a year earlier, while the net sales dropped to EGP 2.251 billion from EGP 2.282 billion. As for the standalone business, the company posted an annual plunge in net profit after tax to EGP 10.048 million at the end of March 2025, compared to EGP 153.141 million. Mohamed Omar El Damaty, Vice Chairman of Domty, commented: "The company is working on a comprehensive restructuring plan to implement the Board of Directors' resolution to demerge the company into two listed companies.' 'Within this framework, We are working to reduce the number of receivable days in the wholesale sector, which will take some time and considerable effort to achieve the goal of reducing the company finance expenses and thus improving the profitability, also we are working on more than doubling our marketing expenses throughout the year to facilitate the restructuring process and increase product turnover,' El Damaty added. United Arab Bank launches strategic Rights Issue to raise up to $280.4mln

United Arab Bank PJSC (UAB), listed on the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) announced that it proposes to increase its issued share capital by an amount up to AED1,031,275,325 (one billion thirty-one million two hundred seventy-five thousand three hundred twenty-five dirhams) from AED2,062,550,649 (two billion sixty-two million five hundred fifty thousand six hundred forty-nine dirhams) up to AED3,093,825,974 (three billion ninety-three million eight hundred twenty-five thousand nine hundred seventy-four dirhams) by way of the Rights Issue offered to the existing shareholders of the Bank. Further, United Arab Bank has published an invitation to its shareholders (the "Invitation") to subscribe for New Shares. Frequently asked questions relating to the Rights Issue will be made available on UAB's website ( on or around today's date. The New Shares will be issued at an issue price of AED1 per New Share (the "Issue Price"). The terms and launch of the Rights Issue were approved by the UAB's General Assembly Meeting held on 6th March 2025, following the approval of the Board of Directors of the Bank held on 4th February 2025. The necessary regulatory approvals have been obtained for this transaction. United Arab Bank intends to use the net proceeds raised from the Rights Issue to strengthen its capital base and to support future growth of the business of United Arab Bank. The holders of Rights, which includes shareholders of United Arab Bank and any persons who purchased Rights during the Rights Trading Period (the "Eligible Persons"), will be entitled to exercise their Rights to subscribe for New Shares at the Issue Price commencing on 4th July 2025 and ending on 17th July 2025. The New Shares will be allocated to Eligible Persons on 24 July 2025. Refunds will be given to Eligible Persons, who did not receive the number of New Shares that they subscribed for, on or around 24th July 2025.
