Dodgers will give away Kobe Bryant bobbleheads in a few weeks
The Los Angeles Dodgers have lost seven games in a row, but they're still in first place in the National League West, and they still should have a real shot at repeating as World Series champions. In a few weeks, they will honor the memory of the "Black Mamba" with a special offering at Dodger Stadium.

On Aug. 8, when they host the Toronto Blue Jays, they will be giving away bobbleheads with Bryant's likeness. The design of those bobbleheads has been unveiled.
The Blue Jays are currently on top of the American League East with a 55-39 record and have won 11 of their last 12 games. That Aug. 8 contest will kick off a three-game series between Toronto and the Dodgers, and it will give fans the opportunity to watch five-time All-Star Vladimir Guerrero Jr. take on the boys in blue.

WWE star Raquel Rodriguez talks Evolution, pro wrestling and more ahead of major event
The last time WWE Evolution took place, Raquel Rodriguez was still training at the performance center hoping to be able to enter the ring with the superstars of today and tomorrow. On Sunday, she will get a chance to defend her tag-team championship with Roxanne Perez in one of the toughest matches on the card. The duo will put the titles on the line in a fatal four-way tag match against Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss, Sol Ruca and Zaria, and Kairi Sane and Asuka. Rodriguez expressed to Fox News Digital what Evolution meant to her the first time she saw the premium live event take place back in 2018. "This is a very exciting time for all the women in WWE, all the women that are just in general invested in wrestling around the world," she said. "We only had one Evolution and I remember that was back in 2018, I was training at the performance center, I was biting my nails because I just wanted to be a part of it so bad. But it was a beautiful representation of women in wrestling, women in sports, and women of culture from just all over the world. "So, to know that we are able to have a women's Evolution 2 and have more women from our history and our future coming out to represent, I think it is going to be an absolutely amazing show. I can't wait to see all the women, little girls, and the abuelitas and tias that are gonna be in the stands cheering us on. I am just very grateful and very excited to be walking in as a WWE Women's Tag Team champion and walking out as a women's tag team champion. That's not going to change." For Rodriguez, pro wrestling was in her blood. Her father, Rick, was an independent wrestler in Texas in the 1980s and 1990s, and she would watch him compete. She said that while Chyna and other female wrestlers of that time were inspiring, her interest in wrestling really was drawn from her father. "There was not just one person that I looked up to and wanted to emulate, I mean I looked up to many. I, obviously, cherished Chyna and Beth Phoenix for being the woman that they were, representing strong, tall woman," Rodriguez said. "I think for me and my life, I mean, I was already 6 foot my freshman year of high school and I was taller than anybody and everybody since the young age of 4. I constantly felt different and not always in the best ways. And so, to see these women who were bigger than some of the men and stronger than some of the men was something I could relate too. I felt very seen and very heard and so I always loved watching them and looking to them for any inspiration. "I also always look to my dad as well. I am a daddy's girl and I say that in and out he has really guided me in a lot decisions I made in my life and I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for him, for sure, and the sacrifices he made. Watching him and his work in wrestling really inspired me obviously from a young age because I have been saying I wanted to do this since I was a little girl. But even today, he keeps me very grounded, he keeps me at home. I am very, very blessed to have so many people I consider role models." Rodriguez is a six-time women's tag team champion, four of which came with Liv Morgan. However, Morgan has been sidelined with a shoulder injury and Perez stepped into her place to fill in – at least for the time being. Rodriguez said she has all the confidence in the world that they will defend their titles successfully despite never actually teaming up with each other in an official match. "It is definitely going to be a challenge for us," Rodriguez told Fox News Digital. "But I look at the other teams, and Alexa Bliss and Charlotte haven't really been together for that long. So, I would say they are in the same playing field as us. Asuka and Kairi – yes, Kabuki Warriors have a staple name in the women's tag division. They have been champions before. However, Asuka is just coming back from injury, and they haven't really done much tag work either since she has been back so I think she is in the same boat. "Then we have Zaria and Sol and I have seen what they have been doing on NXT and I think they are doing absolutely tremendous work. Both very, very talented women, both seem to be a very good connection when it comes to women tag wrestling, but Sol has kind of been doing her own thing and so has Zaria. So I am not going to be too worried about their connection and their teamwork. I feel like they are kind of on the same playing field. Overall, I would say our tag matches have been pretty even, except for the fact that I am the most experienced in the women's tag division and I have the many titles." Britain's Sheeraz stops Berlanga as Stevenson retains title
Hamzah Sheeraz held the European and Commonwealth middleweight titles between 2022 and 2024. [Getty Images] Britain's Hamzah Sheeraz made a successful step up to super middleweight with a destructive fifth-round stoppage victory against Edgar Berlanga in New York. In the other co-main event, Shakur Stevenson retained his WBC lightweight world title with a unanimous decision victory over William Zepeda. Advertisement Sheeraz, 26, knocked Berlanga down twice in the fourth round and again at the start of the fifth to force the referee to end the fight. The impressive victory improves Sheeraz's record to 22-0, with one draw and 18 wins inside the distance. It was the Briton's first fight since that draw - against WBC middleweight champion Carlos Adames in February - after which he decided to make the step up to super middleweight. Berlanga's record is now 23-2 after a second defeat in three fights, with March's stoppage of Jonathan Gonzalez-Ortiz preceded by a unanimous points defeat by Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez. Advertisement Meanwhile, Stevenson comfortably won on all three judges' scorecards against Zepeda to make a third defence of his WBC lightweight title. Two judges scored the bout 118-110 and a third saw it 119-109 for the 28-year-old American, who improved his unbeaten record to 24-0 with 11 knockouts. It was a first career defeat for Mexican Zepeda, 29, whose record is now 33-1. The card was held at the Louis Armstrong Stadium, one of the show courts at Flushing Meadows, host venue of the US Open tennis. More boxing from the BBC

What to watch for in today's NASCAR Cup race at Sonoma
For the second weekend in a row, NASCAR Cup drivers will be racing on a road course. They'll compete today at the 1.99-mile Sonoma Raceway. Here are a few things to watch. Seeking to tie a Hall of Famer Shane van Gisbergen seeks to tie Hall of Famer Jeff Gordon's record for three consecutive Cup road course victories from the pole. Gordon did it from 1998-99. Advertisement 'We've had a really cool couple of weeks,' van Gisbergen said after winning the pole for today's race. 'You just feel the energy in the shop when you walk in on Monday and Tuesday. Even the stay-at-home guys and girls preparing the cars -- it's just a cool atmosphere in the shop. Everyone's lifted up. Ross (Chastain's) win kind of started it at the Coke 600, and we just got better and better. So yeah, it's really cool for everyone.' NASCAR: Toyota / Save Mart 350 How to watch Sunday's Cup race at Sonoma: Start time, TV info and weather The race in Northern California will be held in July for the first time. Already this season, van Gisbergen has won at Mexico and Chicago from the pole. He ranks second in the series in average finish (9.8) on road courses in the Next Gen era. Advertisement 'He's so good, and it's rare that you see somebody stand out and distance himself from the competition as much as he is,' Larson said about van Gisbergen. 'You know, he's way, way, way better than us at the road course stuff. 'And he's got his own technique, you can call it. Not his own because the rest of the world does it – you know, right-foot braking, clutching and all that stuff. You can't teach an old dog new tricks … like there's zero chance I can learn how to do that. And even if I did, like there's zero chance that I can have it be better than what I'm probably doing with left-foot braking.' What's up with Kyle Larson? The Hendrick Motorsports driver who won last year's race at Sonoma has not led in the last six races. It's the longest stretch he's gone in Cup without leading a lap since the end of the 2019 and beginning of the 2020 seasons when he also went six races without leading a lap. Advertisement Larson has not had much success on road courses this season. He finished 13th at Chicago, placed 36th after his car was damaged in an early accident triggered by Kyle Busch at Mexico and was 32nd at Circuit of the Americas after being issued a two-lap penalty for a wheel coming off his car. NASCAR Cup Series Toyota/Save Mart 350 - Qualifying NASCAR starting lineup: Shane van Gisbergen wins Cup pole at Sonoma Shane van Gisbergen scores his third pole of the season and fourth of his Cup career. Larson has three top-10 finishes in his last seven races. 'You know, just on paper, it looks like we're just very average, which we have been,' Larson said Saturday at Sonoma of his recent stretch of races. 'But, you know, we've taken days where we've been not a top-10 car and finished in the top-10 or even top five. Advertisement 'Those days, although they're not fun, they are rewarding at the end of it because I think, a lot of times in my past, I'll try even too hard and make big mistakes and crash, which I've done that here lately some also. But, yeah, I don't know. We just haven't been as strong as we've wanted to be here lately. 'We've gone to some tracks where when you look at results from the past, we haven't been quite competitive or have race winning speed and it's kind of carried over to this year at some of those places too.' Points races tighten The points race for the regular season championship and for the final playoff spot have tightened. Advertisement At the top of the standings, William Byron has seen his points lead shrink from 67 to 13 in the last three races. Byron has finished no better than 27th in the past three races. NASCAR Cup Series The Great American Getaway 400 - Qualifying Good news, bad news for NASCAR Cup drivers ahead of Sonoma weekend RFK Racing's Chris Buescher has scored three consecutive top-five finishes at Sonoma Raceway. He enters today's race 13 points ahead of teammate Chase Elliott and 19 points ahead of teammate Kyle Larson. Denny Hamlin trails Byron by 43 points and Tyler Reddick is 48 points from the top of the standings. There have been 12 different winners this season, leaving four playoff spots via points at this time. Bubba Wallace holds the final playoff spot. He's two points ahead of Ryan Preece, who gained 21 points on Wallace last weekend at Chicago. AJ Allmendinger is next, 43 points below the cutline. Kyle Busch is 46 points below the cutline.
