QLC opens registration for Nat'l Leadership Programme 2026
As part of its ongoing commitment to developing qualified national leaders who can contribute to Qatar's sustainable growth, Qatar Leadership Centre (QLC) has announced the opening of registration for its National Leadership Programme 2026, starting Tuesday, August 5 and closing on Wednesday, August 20, 2025. The programmes are open to Qatari nationals who hold a bachelor's degree or higher and possess a minimum of five years of professional experience. Designed to strengthen national capabilities, QLC's programmes aim to enhance leadership and administrative competencies in line with Qatar National Vision 2030, supporting the evolving needs of the country's key sectors. The National Leadership Programme features three distinguished tracks, tailored to suit varying levels of professional experience and responsibility: first, the Government Leaders Programme, which targets leaders across government and public sector entities, this programme focuses on governance, public policy, and institutional change and will be done in Arabic. Participants are grouped based on age and experience to ensure content relevance: Group 1: Ages 25–35 with at least 5 years of experience, focusing on core leadership skills. Group 2: Ages 36–46 with 10+ years of experience, designed for those in supervisory or executive roles, focusing on advanced leadership and decision-making. (QNA) page 4

Diesel price hiked for August
QatarEnergy announced on Thursday the fuel prices for August 2025, with diesel price increasing, while Gasoline 95 and Gasoline 91 remain unchanged. QatarEnergy has set the price of a liter of diesel at QR2.05, the price for Super Gasoline 95 at QR2 per litre, and Premium Gasoline 91 at QR1.95 per litre. (QNA)

Amiri Guard commander participates in opening of IDEF in Istanbul
Amiri Guard Commander Lieutenant-General Staff Hazza bin Khalil Al Shahwani participated in the opening of the 17th International Defence Industry Fair (IDEF), held in Istanbul, Turkiye. The Amiri Guard Commander and his accompanying delegation toured several pavilions of participating countries and international companies and were briefed on their most prominent exhibits showcasing advanced defence technologies and systems as well as the latest innovations in the military and security industries.
