
LVMH partners with SKEMA to create a luxury track in Dubai
SKEMA already offers a Luxury Digital Marketing & Strategy program since 2021 in partnership with the New York University School of Professional Studies (NYU SPS) for the first semester, followed by a second semester at SKEMA Business School in Paris.
"With SKEMA, LVMH reaffirms its commitment to luxury retail and shaping the talents of tomorrow by engaging in an excellence-driven training program aligned with the evolving luxury industry. This strategic partnership focusing on retail, which is the heart of our business, illustrates our dedication to supporting new generations in their professional development and passing on the unique expertise that defines our maison in the world of luxury retail," said Pierre-Julien Bousquet, LVMH's group global VP people engagement, in a release Monday.
Starting this fall, the Retail Excellence & Client Relationship Management course will be delivered entirely in English. LVMH, luxury's largest conglomerate, will actively contribute to student training by leading lectures and masterclasses on several key topics: e-commerce and retail; sales performance; client experience & UX design; merchandising and exclusive events; and AI applied to the in-store experience.
Students will attend roundtables, talks and visits to LVMH's flagship stores in Dubai. There will also be dedicated SKEMA academic courses and a four- to eight-month internship, allowing direct immersion in the luxury world.
'SKEMA and LVMH are creating an innovative program that will develop true experts in client relationship management and retail, an area of high demand. We are addressing both the strategic challenges of tomorrow and the immediate needs of luxury industry players by equipping students with the essential skills to excel in this exceptional domain," said Alice Guilhon, dean and executive president of SKEMA, and Emmanuelle Rigaud, director of the MSc in Global Luxury and Management program.
Elsewhere in the region, the Saudi Fashion Commission linked with IFM, Paris' top fashion and luxury management school, to develop a specialised luxury training program in 2022. Hundreds of Saudis have taken intensive courses taught by IFM professors in Paris and Saudi Arabia in the past few years.
With 11,000 students from over 130 nationalities, 190 professors, and 60,000 alumni across 145 countries, SKEMA Business School is a global educational and research institution that trains talents committed to transforming the world sustainably.

On Tuesday, he said the bill, being considered by Congress, would burden "citizens with crushingly unsustainable debt." His post laid bare an increasingly tense relationship between the White House and Musk, who donated almost $300 million to Trump's 2024 election campaign. Yet the normally pugilistic Republican has pulled his punches, aware of his biggest backer's enormous influence over young, tech-savvy and historically apathetic voters – a key Trump constituency in 2024. "The president already knows where Elon Musk stood on this bill, it doesn't change his opinion," White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt told reporters in a rapid response to Musk's tweet. Dior has announced Jonathan Anderson as creative director of women's, men's, and haute couture collections, marking the first time in the brand's history that one designer has handled all three disciplines since the passing of its founder Christian Dior. 'Dior is thrilled to welcome Jonathan Anderson, a visionary creator with a remarkable career, as creative director of women's, men's, and haute couture collections of the House,' it said in a release Monday morning. The appointment of the Northern Ireland-born designer means that for the first time at Christian Dior Couture, since Monsieur Dior himself, a creative director will work on all the women's, men's, and haute couture collections, further strengthening its unified global creative vision. He succeeds the duo Maria Grazia Chiuri and Kim Jones, who respectively handled couture/womenswear, and menswear separately. 'I am delighted to welcome Jonathan Anderson to lead the women's and men's creations of the House. I have followed his career with great interest since he joined the LVMH group over 10 years ago. I am convinced that he will bring a creative and modern vision to our House, inspired by the fabulous story of Monsieur Dior and the codes he created. He will be supported by our teams and our incredible Ateliers who will bring his creativity to life,' said Delphine Arnault, chairman and chief executive officer of Christian Dior Couture. Anderson joins Dior after Loewe, one of nearly a dozen runway fashion houses controlled by LVMH, the giant French luxury conglomerate. 'Jonathan Anderson is one of the greatest creative talents of his generation. His incomparable artistic signature will be a crucial asset in writing the next chapter of the history of the House of Dior,' added Bernard Arnault, chairman and CEO of LVMH, and Delphine's father. Arnault senior had already revealed at LVMH's AGM that Anderson was taking over from Jones on menswear. Today's announcement had been widely expected for months. 'It is a great honor to join the House of Dior as creative director of both women's and men's collections. I have always been inspired by the rich history of this House, its depth, and empathy. I look forward to working alongside its legendary Ateliers to craft the next chapter of this incredible story.
