Sex And The City fans spot another Easter egg in And Just Like That... season three premiere as familiar face returns - but did you recognise them?
Sex And The City fans have spotted yet another Easter Egg as the show returned for it's third season, in what fans have claimed is finally now living up to the original.
Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker), Miranda Hobbes (Cynthia Nixon), and Charlotte York Goldenblatt (Kristin Davis) were back on fine form as they explored their tangled lives in New York City.
The latest drama saw Charlotte struggle with her pet pooch Richard Burton after he accused of attacking an elderly lady's Chihuahua in Central Park.
Taking to Instagram one eagle eyed face spotted that the actress playing the woman also appeared in the 2008 Sex And The City movie.
In her previous role she was once again clasping a dog to play an animal rights activist and screamed murderer at Samantha Jones (Kim Cattrall) who was doused in red paint for wearing fur.
From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the Daily Mail's new Showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop.
Taking to Instagram they wrote: 'Only the most deranged Sex and the City fans realised that the architect of Richard Burton's cancellation is the same woman who screamed "murder" at Samantha in the first Sex and the City film'.
Cattrall, 68 infamously did not return for the spin-off amid a feud with co-star Parker, before reprising her iconic role for a one off shock cameo last season.
It was explained in the series premiere that Samantha had moved to London, with the Season 1 premiere finding Carrie reaching out to Samantha via text, making plans to meet in person and reconcile.
Cattrall had previously refused to ever reprise her fan-favourite role as the man-hungry publicist - having last played the character in much derided 2010 film, Sex and the City 2.
Even SJP has claimed she does not want Kim back - when asked by Variety in a 2022 interview if she would be 'OK' if Cattrall was able to come back to the show if some 'miracle were to happen,' after their very public feud exploded back in 2018.
The season opener, titled Outlook Good, also saw Carrie navigate her long-distance relationship with Aidan Shaw (John Corbett), and Miranda enjoy a dalliance with a virgin nun Mary (Rosie O'Donnell).
Yet there was a sense of familiarity for SATC fans as the episode featured several references to the original season.
Taking to X/ Twitter during the show, viewers were quick to make comparisons to the iconic Nineties series - so how many did you spot?

Are postcards the new post its?
The episode opened with Carrie lovingly making out a postcard for Aidan - who is staying in Virginia while he sorts through his family problems.
Yet while she gazes down adoringly at the card, she doesn't write a word, instead just drawing a large heart.
It's later explained in the episode that it's a private joke between the couple, with Carrie sending postcards of New York signed with a heart, while Aidan sends blank ones from Virginia.
Yet the impersonal message brought back memories of Carrie's dealings with Jack Berger, who famously walked out on her in the middle of the night, dumping her via a Post-it note that read: 'I'm sorry. I can't. Don't hate me.'

Miranda's night with the virgin Mary
In an unexpected storyline, Miranda found herself sleeping with a nun called Mary.
The two hit it off at a bar, with Mary proceeding to flirt with Miranda, telling her, 'You are so pretty' before brazenly letting her know that she has a 'hotel room.'
However, the morning after their passionate night, Mary revealed that until then she had been a virgin, the reason being, she was also a nun.
Fans noticed the episode harked back to season three, when Miranda discovered her new housekeeper Magda (Lynn Cohen) had replaced her sex toy with a statue of the Virgin Mary in her room.
It's also not the first time a religious figure has been lusted over.
In the season four opener, Samantha Jones (Kim Cattrall) famously fancied an attractive monk, branding him: 'Friar F**k' and attempting to seduce him.

A friend in need is a friend indeed
Carrie was left in a compromising position when she slipped and fell on her wooden floors, finding herself unable to stand.
She wasted no time calling Miranda for help, admitting: 'I've fallen and I can't get up.'
Fans noticed how the moment was a rework of season four when Miranda throws her neck out and gets stuck in her shower.
She called Carrie for assistance, but Carrie instead sent Aiden in her place, resulting in him having to scoop a naked Miranda off her bathroom floor.
While watching And Just Like That... a viewer noted: 'Carrie immediately calling Miranda post-fall is very ironic.
'And she gets kudos for actually showing up for her, although Carrie didn't do the same for her back in the day. #AndJustLikeThat'.

A room with a view
The opening episode ended with a shot of Carrie through her window while she was typing on her laptop.
While she has changed apartments since the original series, the scene was still an iconic throwback to all the shots of her typing away through the window of her rent-controlled brownstone.
Fans rejoiced at the scene, writing on X: 'the episode ending with carrie writing on her laptop looking out her window im sorry but we're soooo back #AndJustLikeThat'.

The season three opener came off the back of the significant shifts in season two.
Carrie herself let go of the 'expectations,' particularly concerning her rekindled romance with Aidan, who put their relationship on an unexpected five-year pause and explained he needed to focus on raising his son, Wyatt.
The latest episode starts out with Carrie sending Aiden a postcard to Virginia, with just a heart scribbled on it.
Afterwards, she meets with Miranda and Charlotte at a bar.
She tells them that Aiden wanted no communication while he handles family issues back home, but that they've been sending each other post cards.
Miranda asks Carrie if she's sending him postcards to 'remind him you're getting old in New York.'
Carrie explains she is simply trying to 'let him know I'm here, I love him.'
Carrie then reminds her girlfriends that she has a busy life away from Aiden, explaining, 'I'm a big girl in a big city with a big house to furnish. I've got plenty to do up here while he figures stuff out down there.'

Later, in the middle of the night, Carrie gets a call from Aiden. He tells her he misses her and that he's sitting in the back of the house in his truck drinking beer
Carrie and Charlotte then leave Miranda, as they think she is being hit on by another woman.
However, when Miranda approaches her, she introduces herself as Miranda's son Brady's former babysitter, Cassandra Walsh.
Miranda then awkwardly tells her about her divorce from her ex Steve Brady (David Eigenberg).
Nicole Ari Parker and Sarita Choudhury returned as the group's new besties Lisa and Seema.
Seema has an accident after lighting up a cigarette in bed, causing the mattress and her hair to light on fire, with a fireman later chastising her for smoking in bed.
Carrie and Seema are then seen strolling through a park, with Carrie rocking a giant eye-catching hat on her head.
Later on Carrie returns home and proceeds to slip and fall while running to turn off her house alarm.
Miranda comes over to help her, and reveals her sexual encounter with Mary.

Seema later breaks up with boyfriend Ravi Gordy, after feeling ignored by him
They then proceed to have phone sex, but it's interrupted when he accidentally honks the horn with his knee.
Aiden then proceeds to go on but Carrie can't, after noticing her cat watching her. However she continues to fake it, before later telling her girlfriends that she feels 'dishonest' about it.
Meanwhile Seema breaks up with boyfriend Ravi Gordy, after feeling ignored by him.
The scene then switched to Miranda, who tells Carrie that the nun is 'in love' with her, and continues to text her trying to meet up.
Miranda says she feels 'mean' for not texting back, but eventually goes to meet Mary in Times Square.
Mary then invites Miranda to 'spend the night.'
Miranda tries to get out it, as Mary proceeds to sing a verse from Wicked to her.
Carrie calls Aiden later in the night, and tells her she faked their phone sex the night prior.
She then attempts to start it up again, but he tells her his son is sleeping next to him. Embarrassed, she awkwardly apologizes and hangs up.
There will be 12 episodes in And Just Like That… season 3, with the last on August 14
Unable to go to sleep after he house alarm goes off again, Carrie gets up and opens her laptop, beginning to write.
'The woman wondered what she had gotten herself into,' Carrie wrote, before the episode came to an end.
The show picks up 11 years after the events of the 2010 film Sex and the City 2, and follows three of the four original main characters.
Following the success of Kim Cattrall 's cameo in the second season, it's been widely reported Samantha will return for at least part of the third season.
Sara Ramirez will not be returning as controversial non-binary comedian Che Diaz (there's some disagreement as to whether this was because of their political posts, because of the end of the character's relationship with Miranda, or because viewers just found them so annoying).
Karen Pittman also won't return as Columbia law professor Nya Wallace because of scheduling conflicts.
Meanwhile The OC's Logan Marshall-Green and the one and only Patti LuPone will all make appearances in the new series.
The original Sex and the City ran for six seasons, airing on HBO from 1998 until 2004; Cynthia, Kristin, Sarah and Kim pictured in a promotional photo from 1999
Since starting in December 2021, the Sex And The City spin-off has seen Carrie, Samantha and Charlotte grapple with sexuality, gender identity, death, grief, divorce, drug use, and pretty much every other hot issue in Western society.
The original Sex and the City ran for six seasons, airing on HBO from 1998 until 2004.
The story continued with two feature films: Sex and the City (2008) and Sex and the City 2 (2010).
The first season of And Just Like That... premiered in 2021.
There will be 12 episodes in And Just Like That… season 3, with the last premiering on August 14.
The season 3 premiere comes after Sarah revealed Mr. Big's death on the show was 'really hard' for her to film.
The actress addressed the shocking moment in the show where Carrie's husband Mr. Big (Chris Noth) died of a heart attack after working out on his Pelaton bike.
Mr. Big had been a staple character of Sex And The City and Carrie's main love interest so it was a risk for writers to kill him off.
Speaking on The E! News Sitdown with Bruce Bozzi, Sarah gave her thoughts on the storyline.
She said: 'Big dying was really, really hard to do both professionally and personally. That's not just a thread. It's one of the main arteries that you would struggle to do without.'
'It was really sad to say goodbye to that. It's not like I needed it for my own health or wellbeing. But that was a hugely wonderful story to tell for a lot of years.'
Since Big's death, Carrie has rekindled her romance with old flame Aidan, who she was involved with in seasons three and four of Sex And The City.

Trump's crusade against all immigrants – even legal ones – is unprecedented
The Donald Trump administration has billed itself as taking unprecedented steps to crack down on illegal immigration. While the total number of deportations has yet to surge, it may happen soon. The homeland security secretary, Kristi Noem, supports suspending habeas corpus to speed up deportations, and the border czar, Tom Homan, has suggested blatantly ignoring court orders. Private companies are also lining up to cash in on mass deportations. Nonetheless, Trump's approach so far to immigration deemed illegal has not differed much from what Barack Obama and Joe Biden did. So why does everything feel different? The answer is that Trump has launched an unprecedented crusade against legal immigrants. And the tactics have been jarringly lawless and cruel. For example, Trump's administration has almost completely banned refugee resettlement, sought to revoke temporary protected status for hundreds of thousands who have immigrated to flee extreme conditions, eliminated the legal status of thousands of international students, arrested legal asylum seekers at their immigration check-ins, jailed other legal asylum seekers in a maximum security prison in El Salvador, declared an end to birthright citizenship and revoked the legal status of nearly a million humanitarian parolees who had applied for legal entry using the CBP One app. While the Obama and Biden administrations likewise took aggressive measures to regulate undocumented immigration – thus earning well-founded criticisms from immigration activists who took to calling Obama the 'deporter-in-chief' – both presidents also worked to expand the pathways for legal immigration. Some of their initiatives were blocked by Congress or the courts, but the result was a net expansion of legal immigration under both administrations. On the other hand, Trump has consistently worked to block as many pathways to legal migration as possible. In Trump's first term, certain aspects of his immigration agenda were similarly constrained by Congress or the courts, but the result was still a major decrease in legal immigration. In Trump's second term, this assault on legal immigrants has escalated at a furious pace, and while courts have already found many of these actions illegal according to long-established precedent, the administration shows no sign of slowing down. Indeed, Trump officials have become increasingly bold in defying court rulings, and all of this is taking place under the watch of a supreme court so Trump-friendly that last year it granted him sweeping immunity to commit crimes. As a historian of border policy, I find Tump's attack on the CBP One app especially demoralizing. A longstanding contradiction in our immigration system is that while technically people have the right to apply for asylum once they reach US soil, it is incredibly difficult to arrive in the US to exercise this right. Accordingly, the only legal way to immigrate for the vast majority of people is to first survive a deadly gauntlet of oceans, jungles, deserts and criminal organizations, and only then begin an asylum application, which is still a long shot. David Fitzgerald's 2019 book Refuge Beyond Reach offers a detailed description of this insidious system and its long history. While it was largely unappreciated at the time, the Biden administration took meaningful steps to address this deadly contradiction by creating a way to legally apply for asylum through the CBP One app while still abroad. This enabled people facing grave humanitarian crises to start applications outside the US, and if approved, they could then buy plane tickets and travel to the US safely with humanitarian parole. The initiative was successful, legal, and in many ways, historic. Hundreds of thousands of people were able to migrate legally and escape extremely difficult conditions. This infuriated conservatives, who launched a barrage of vicious lies to demonize the program and the people using it. JD Vance insisted on the debate stage that these immigrants were illegal, and when corrected by debate moderators, whined that fact-checking was against the rules. Ted Cruz used his podcast to accuse Biden of chartering flights to bring in undocumented people who would vote Democrat. And Trump accused them of eating pets. Just by cancelling the program for future enrollees, Trump is already launching a disturbing assault on legal immigration. Yet in an escalation of cruelty that is difficult to even comprehend, Trump canceled the program retroactively as well, capriciously revoking the legal status of hundreds of thousands of extremely vulnerable people who simply followed the rules. If you think that that sounds dystopian and cruel, you're right. And that's exactly the point: cruelty itself is a tactic to scare immigrants away. The child separation policy from Trump's first term was an early example of this penchant for using visible displays of cruelty as an immigration deterrent and his new administration has worked around the clock to invent creative new horrors: from shipping deportees to Guantánamo Bay, to sending masked agents to disappear students, to indefinitely detaining immigrants with no criminal record in a notoriously dangerous prison in El Salvador (many of whom were arrested while attending legal immigration appointments), and then sending Noem to El Salvador to do a photoshoot with these political prisoners as props. The message to immigrants is clear: leave, or never come in the first place, because this could happen to you, even if you do it 'the right way'. The takeaway from all of this is that right now, real people – our friends, families, students and neighbors – are suffering at the hands of a cruel and lawless government. And while Republican policymakers are driving these actions, many centrist Democrats, such as Gavin Newsom, are giving tacit approval by writing off these disturbing human rights violations as merely the 'distraction of the day'. I refuse to ignore this suffering. I hope you refuse as well. Daniel Mendiola is a professor of Latin American history and migration studies at Vassar College.

Sydney Sweeney shows off FIVE different looks in one day including chic suits and a dramatic gown during incredibly stylish press tour for her new film Echo Valley
Sydney Sweeney stepped out in no less than five different looks as she promoted her new film, Echo Valley, in New York on Wednesday. Especially in recent years, actresses and actors have used fashion to complement their promotional tours and draw attention to the upcoming film release. And the Hollywood actress, 27, took full advantage of the marketing technique as she stepped out in an array of eye-catching looks this week. First thing in the morning, Sydney, who has been working with working with stylist Molly Dickson, was spotted leaving her hotel wearing a chic nautical Coperni look. Sydney wore a black button-through vest with a white striped sailor collar, which she styled with a pleated white mini skirt with a fun asymmetrical hem. The White Lotus star completed the ensemble with a pair of black Wayfarer sunglasses and sported a pair of heeled knee-high boots. By the time she arrived for her Good Morning America appearance, Sweeney had swapped into an archival Jean Paul Gaultier suit dress. Embracing the 'no pants trend', Sydney showed of her toned legs in a pair of brown pumps, which perfectly complemented the tone of the jacket and tie. The jacket is from Jean Paul Gaultier's fall 2005 collection that was sewn up the centre and teamed with a matching tie. Sydney has embraced the fashion marathon element of the press tour and was later seen out again in another brown ensemble. This time, Sydney was sporting Oscar de la Renta from the fashion house's fall 2025 collection as she once again exited her luxury hotel. Her outfit was a lightly blue checked silk co-ord, including a short-sleeved pussy bow blouse teamed with a pair of wide-legged trousers. She added a further pop of colour with a pair of pale blue heels, while accessorising with quirky shades and a cream clutch bag. By the evening, Sydney was onto her third look as she attended the film's premiere. The starlet embraced 'method dressing' as she attended the event wearing a scarlet gown, which boasted a train following her down the carpet. The dress appeared to be a nod to a moment she has previously discussed in the film, where she arrives on her mother's doorstep covered in blood. Sydney stars opposite Julianne Moore in the psychological thriller, where she plays an addict named Claire and follows the story of how a mother will go for their child. Speaking about the plot previously, Sydney said: 'My character Claire is not the best daughter and she puts her mom through a lot. Claire shows up covered in blood at her mother's doorstep. She attended the premiere with Julianne and Kyle MacLachlan, who plays her father, where the sizzling sensation put her décolletage on display in a plunging gown. Her luxurious scarlet frock was cinched in around her enviably svelte midsection before flowing into a luxurious skirt that flowed across the floor. With ruched accents around her tiny waistline, the sumptuous dress accentuated Sydney's curves to full advantage as she sauntered across the carpet. She later looked incredible as she headed to the afterparty of her Echo Valley premiere at Lincoln Ristorante. She slipped into a figure-hugging cocktail dress as she celebrated the release of the film The Hollywood star, who styled the look with a pair of red pumps, stopped to snap selfies with a fan who caught her outside the swanky eatery Sydney slipped into a figure-hugging cocktail dress as she celebrated the release of the film. The form-fitting style of the dress flattered her hourglass shape, while the asymmetric hemline showed off her toned legs. Sydney wore her blonde locks loose in soft waves, while sporting a face of soft glamorous make-up in a nude pallet. The Hollywood star, who styled the look with a pair of red pumps, stopped to snap selfies with a fan who caught her outside the swanky eatery. The multiple outings came shortly after she finally broke her silence on her split from Jonathan Davino. Sydney and Jonathan, 41, started dating 2018 and got engaged in 2022 but kept their romance largely out of the public eye. Over the past few months, though, they were trailed by a swirl of rumors that they had called off the wedding, fueled by Sydney's sightings without his ring. Last week she finally put the swirling speculation to bed by confirming her relationship status while plugging her new film to The Times. When she was asked whether she was still planning her wedding, she replied: 'No,' and when prodded on whether she was single, she said: 'Yes.' The form-fitting style of the dress flattered her hourglass shape, while the asymmetric hemline showed off her toned legs Sydney wore her blonde locks loose in soft waves, while sporting a face of soft glamorous make-up in a nude pallet Sydney flashed a beaming smile as she left the venue She later got into a car to leave the celebratory bash Sydney and Jonathan, 41, started dating 2018 and got engaged in 2022 but kept their romance largely out of the public eye; pictured in 2018 Echo Valley stars Julianne as a horse trainer on a Pennsylvania farm and Sydney as her daughter, who turns up one day spattered with someone else's blood, triggering a thriller plotline and a family drama. Julianne posed proudly beside Sydney at the premiere this Wednesday, demonstrating the resemblance between the pair. The Oscar-winning actress brought back memories of the 1980s in a black gown with raised shoulders that appeared to have been done in velvet or velour. Her unmistakable red hair was teased into a silken bob, and her makeup brought out a luminous glow in her complexion as she beamed next to her onscreen daughter. Julianne attended the gala at AMC Lincoln Square on the arm of her casually dressed son Caleb Freundlich, who has followed her footsteps into showbiz and become a singer-songwriter under the name Caleb Moore. Sydney and Julianne also gathered together for a group shot with their co-star Kyle MacLachlan, who plays the husband of Julianne's character. Kyle, Julianne and Sydney also stood for pictures with their dashing castmates Edmund Donovan, Domhnall Gleeson and Albert Jones. Directed by Michael Pearce, the film also features Fiona Shaw, who is best known to moviegoers around the world as Harry Potter's Aunt Petunia. Echo Valley will receive a limited theatrical release in the United States this Friday, and next Friday will become more widely available on Apple TV+.

Cole Palmer gets new Chelsea shirt number ahead of Club World Cup bid
Cole Palmer will sport a new shirt number for Chelsea at the Club World Cup and in the 2025/26 season, the Blues have announced. Palmer's inspired performance in Chelsea's Conference League final win in May will go down as the final time he wore No 20 for the club, as he prepares to don the No 10 jersey going forward. • Watch every Fifa Club World Cup game free on DAZN. Palmer, 23, provided two assists as Chelsea beat Real Betis 4-1 in Wroclaw, where the club completed the set of major European trophies – having previously won the Champions League, Europa League, Super Cup and the now-defunct Cup Winners' Cup. Next time out, Enzo Maresca's men begin their Club World Cup bid in the US, taking on Los Angeles FC on 16 June. In that game, should Palmer play, the midfielder will wear No 10 for the first time. The England international takes the number from Mykhailo Mudryk, who has been serving a suspension since December due to a failed drug test. Meanwhile, Liam Delap will wear the No 9 shirt for Chelsea. The striker, 22, joined the Blues from Ipswich Town on Wednesday (4 June). 'Chelsea can confirm Cole Palmer will move to the No 10 shirt ahead of our 2025/26 campaign, starting from the Fifa Club World Cup,' read a statement on Thursday (5 June). 'Palmer, who has worn the No 20 shirt since signing from Manchester City in September 2023, will make the switch ahead of our participation in the US-based tournament and could wear 10 for the first time when the Blues face Los Angeles FC in Atlanta on June 16. 'Supporters are reminded that the full list of squad numbers for the 2025/26 season will be finalised once the summer transfer window has shut. They remain subject to change until that point.' Before the Club World Cup begins, Palmer could feature for England in their Euros qualifier against Andorra on 7 June and/or their friendly against Senegal on 10 June.
